[REQUEST]. Multiplayer games like rad soldiers/xcom

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 06:39 PM PST

So back in the day their was a game called rad soldiers highly doubt anyone even remembers this game but it was a turn based online grid based tactical shooter. In the same vain as xcom i believe it was and is the only multi-player mobile game of its kind. Sadly the servers closed years ago and i was wondering if their is a game on the playstore that even comes close to this.

[Request] Android game with online similar to Diablo?

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 06:50 PM PST

I'm really looking forward to Path of Exile mobile and I'd like to scratch that itch in the meanwhile. For those who aren't familiar, here's an idea of what I'm after:

-3/4 isometric prospective (not Dungeon Hunter etc)

    -Limited or minimal auto play

-Online element, whether it's PVE or PVP with a global chat

-Dark acstetic with a decent storyline

-Concurrent map or maps broken up by zones, as opposed to a hub screen that takes you to a level

I did find a decent game that's close called Vampires Fall: Origins but the combat is a separate turn based screen so it's not quite the same feel (great game if you don't mind that though, just not what I'm after)

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

[Request] Games where PvP means fighting other players' AI-controlled teams.

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 08:22 AM PST

I'm looking for games where PvP consists of fighting against someone's AI-controlled team. Like the way Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes handles it.* "Active" PvP stresses me out on mobile, because I never know when I might be interrupted.

I'm also looking for stuff that's on the newer side. It kinda sucks getting into a game that people have been playing for a long time and you know you're never going to catch up.
*The way SWGOH handles PvP: You put together a team for PvP. When you are attacking another player, it kinda feels like you are fighting another player, but really it's just the AI. If another player engages in PvP with you, you don't actually participate or even really know it's happening. You climb/fall in the ranks based

    [REQ] Can't remember the game.

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 03:01 AM PST

There was a game where I was some kind of building inspector with video cameras all around the building and I had to keep an eye on the residents.

The graphics were 2d, with humans as black silhouette, and the overall colour was sepia type

    Any ideas?

Need help remembering a game please

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 03:47 PM PST

I distinctly remember playing a side scrolling rpg that had a 12 man team and a bunch of classes.

You had to play each one to a certain level to unlock better ones. Like priest, mage to 50 to unlock wizard. Pally, cleric, priest to 75 for a holy templar and so forth.

You had to clear stages like other idle games with armor / weaps that raised stats or effects like fire / ice.

It was 2d with graphics kinda similar to bit heroes.

Sorry if i'm rambling, been trying all day to remember / find it but to no avail.

    Thanks for any suggestions

    [Request] Caring-for-newborn friendly games

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 08:49 AM PST

I'm looking for a game that's friendly for having a newborn around the house. I need something that is entirely turn based, that I can put down immediately with no penalty. It also needs to be easily playable one-handed, so I can play with one hand while feeding or holding her with the other.

Idle games don't really fit the bill, they have mechanics that draw me to pay attention when I shouldn't. Resource gathering that pauses if you don't redeploy the worker or whatever resource also won't work well for me right now.

Gacha is fine, as long as I can enjoy the game with fairly minimal investment. I'll usually buy the monthly pack if it exists in the game to help support devs. Premium is fine too - even preferred - as long as there's a good demo to try before I buy the full game.

Some that have worked well include: Ticket to Ride, Splendor, San Juan The problem is, I own all those as physical board games, too. So preferably something that isn't a board game.

    I'm sure I'm missing something.

(Thread remade since I didn't follow the proper thread-naming conventions at first.)

    Bluetooth receiver for android gaming

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 01:44 PM PST

Hey! My nvidia sheild portable finally died and I was thinking of replacing it with a razer kishi for my main phone.

The only issue is the lack of passthrough or any wired audio, it's speakers or bluetooth.

I don't really want to replace my current headphones, so I was thinking of buying some form of bluetooth receiver I could 3M tape to the back of the kishi but my roommate brought up the audio delay might be an issue.

Anyone aware of something that might work for my use case?

    MiniPC vs TV Box

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 09:31 AM PST

Guys, I'm considering getting a TV Box to use as console and play in the big screen. But I've tried out the PrimeOS in my i5-old ass generation notebook and it was so smooth in games, even with the integrated GPU. So, considering that, what would be more of a console-like experience to get a MiniPC (i3 or better) and install Android or get a powerful TV Box, like Beelink GT King or Mecool KM6 Deluxe (NVIDIA Shield out of question, can't find it in my country for a reasonable price).

Game similar to risk, very simple graphics, lots of maps

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 09:00 AM PST

I used to play a risk-clone game that was very, very simple in its graphics, but almost endless in its map types. i remember there were maps like a castle, a garden, GoT regions, and so on. I can't remember now if it was free or a very cheap one-off payment. definitely weren't any IAPs.

Any idea what the name might've been?

    [REQUEST] WW2 Tank Game

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 11:40 AM PST

I used to play it long time ago (I would say 4 years ago). That game was based in ww2 and tanks. And it had some characteristics as:

    1) The grafics were 3d but you always had a lateral vision of your tank 2) The game wasn't an online shooter, but rather an arcade like game, where you started from a cheap, free tank and giving money you could upgrade 3) The upgrade system was peculiar, by upgrading everything at top level, you already were ready pass to the next level tank 4) I said it was ww2 based, and it is because there were tanks from USSR, USA amd Reich, I remember the most expensive tank was the Maus (from Reich) 5) When you finished 15 levels and upgrade to max, you could play in another "modes", there was a tank mode, an artillery mode and an antitank mode

If you find out that the game isn't aviable anymore, at least say the name

I am searching for an antique android-game of ca. 2013 and I need your help!

    Posted: 25 Jan 2021 04:31 AM PST

    EDIT: NVM found it: SpaceDog

    Hey guys,

me and my friends used to play this game a lot but we forgot the name and google couldnt help us with the keywoards "Dog + Soda Jetpack".

The game was about a dog who had a soda jetpack (capt. obvious). You had to shake him and the goal was to fly as far as possible. You were able to buy upgrades like a skateboard for the dog to roll after he hit the ground to gain more length. I assume this was 6-8 years ago.

    THANKS!
