| App keeps asking about battery optimisation Posted: 01 Dec 2020 01:14 AM PST Hello everyone, In my country (the Netherlands) we have an app that is supposed to tell you when you got close to someone who later turned out, was contaminated with COVID-19. This app uses your location combined with a kind of research with the person who got tested positive to notify people who have been in contact with the person. The thing is, my Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 doesn't want to work with this app. Each time I open the app I get a notification that my phone might not work because of the battery settings, but when I check I see that battery optimalisation has been disabled for that app. As you can imagine, this would've been different if it was some kind of game, but this app actually is something I find important. Posted: 30 Nov 2020 08:19 PM PST So i was scrolling through reddit then all of a sudden my volume started going down every other second, now while im typing this i realised that it triggers whenever i touch the screen with every key tap it pops up and lowers volume to 0. I cant reboot phone cause my power key also stopped working. I held power button for a min before and it did some fast boot screen that wasnt fast at all and just crashed itself and shut off the phone. Then booted in safe mode with all the same problems. I recently used the Accu Battery app and it's still got 85% of it's original battery capacity. I love the feeling of it in my hand. I also liked the fact it was fairly cheap compared to phones prices in Canada. I'm thinking about getting a newer smartphone. Poco X3: Big screen, Big battery, 120hz screen, decent cameras. I can get the 6g/64ram device for $369,.6g/128ram for $389 Mi 10T Lite: Big screen, Big battery, 120hz screen, decent cameras, newer processor than the Poco X3, I'm not concerned with 5g capability. $459 for the 6g/128ram Pixel 4a: Google camera/photos, smaller form factor (want it, but think I might regret smaller display), updates, OLED display. $479 Pixel 4a5g: Google camera/photos, 6.2" screen which is larger than my Mi A2 but smaller form factor than my Mi A2, updates, OLED display. 5g not needed. $679 What should I do? I also don't mind waiting for another device to come out. I can continue using the Mi A2. Will the Poco X3 and Mi 10T Lite be a huge upgrade in photo quality? They almost have a 1" bigger screen which would be nice but will the physical size of the phone be too big. Would the Pixel 4a5g be my best option? Great photos, great size, updates... | Posted: 30 Nov 2020 07:32 AM PST I know that when I unlocked my bootloader of my redmi note 5 pro and changed the recovery to twrp that every time I restarted my phone it would revert my recovery to stock miui recovery. I was thinking of rooting my redmi note 8 pro and if my twrp reverted it wouldn't be a problem if i flash a root before. But it would be a problem if rebooting would remove something like magisk. Does miui do this Tl;dr miui reverted recovery on old phone was wondering if miui would remove a root on a redmi note 8 pro Sorry but I suck at punctuation Imao [link] [comments]  |
