| Samsung A50 Camera App Crashing Posted: 28 Dec 2020 04:52 PM PST I have a Galaxy A50 all patched and in good shape. I would like to use my bluetooth shutter trigger to snap some pics of the birds, but I'm running into a problem; the camera app closes out (no error) at random increments. It's usually within 60 seconds. Performed a hard reset. Problem persists with only base software installed (and patched). Added my stuff back one by one (study apps, social media, etc) and no change. Happens indoors or out. It's currently winter in Michigan, so I can't imagine it's overheating outdoors. No other apps open. Bluetooth doesn't even have to be on for it to crash, so not related to the trigger. Suggestions? [link] [comments]  |
| Fingerprint scanner brightness Posted: 28 Dec 2020 05:40 AM PST I have a Samsung Galaxy s20 FE When enabled the fingerprint scanner lights up so much Its annoying at night when i enable the blue light filter and it instead of lighting up yellowish it lights up white. So long story short I upgraded from the humble Note 4 to Note 10 plus and I'm starting to lose my patience and faith. I'm having problems with my ringtone volume. Everytime I get a call, the phone rings once then goes silent. Same when it's in my pocket. A week ago I disabled some accidental protection but still nothing. | Samsung s20 phantom inputs on touch screen Posted: 28 Dec 2020 08:40 PM PST hello, my phone has recently started to occasionally give me phantom inputs. https://imgur.com/a/pOUGk6q is an example of this using an app that tracks my touches. As you can see, when I move my finger around, it also inputs a touch near the center of the screen. When I put my phone to sleep, the problem seems to go away only to come back up after a few minutes of use. I have dropped my phone a couple of times and there are some cracks on the screen but this feels like a software issue. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks [link] [comments]  |
| Can't activate Google Assistant by voice on Samsung Note 20 Posted: 28 Dec 2020 01:43 PM PST I cannot set up "Hey Google" for the life of me here. Every time I try to set it up I get an error message, but then it says I can use it in maps or the android auto app (the latter of which I actually am trying to use it for). Regardless, it doesn't work at all in either of those apps. I thought Bixby might be the problem here but I really hope it isn't because Samsung doesn't let you disable Bixby. [link] [comments]  |

I hated the JoyUI, and all of the default invasive functions of the stock UI so much. I would love to put clean Android on it, or another good, functional ROM. [link] [comments]  |

| Recover videos and photos on a NVIDIA shield tablet? Posted: 28 Dec 2020 12:22 PM PST Heya, I'm kind of in a tricky situation here.. I have been using my Nvidia shield tablet as a family photo and video collection, sadly about a year ago it would not for the life of me let me charge it and therefore I presumed it was just dead. I have managed to get it to charge now and I could finally start it up, all of the old apps and account stuff is still there but photos and videos are all gone, is there anyway I could get them back? I already tried some recovery apps but none of them find the pics/videos.. Is there anything I could try? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

Only a very few selection of videos actually do have audio. I am on a Oneplus 8 and have been having this problem for a significant amount of time, I reported this bug already, no updates have fixed this in the last 5. Posted: 28 Dec 2020 06:46 AM PST I'm in a few quite chatty groups on both Messenger and Instagram and my phone literally explodes once more than 3 people start sending messages all at once. I remember on my S7 if more than 3-4 messages were sent from the same chat it would stop vibrating and would just display a notification and after a while would vibrate again if it were to receive a new mesaage. | Posted: 28 Dec 2020 09:20 AM PST I'm curious if there is a way to force a system restart through my computer? I have an Asus ROG Phone with AT&T. On the 26th about midday, my phone froze while I was playing a game. I powered off the screen and then the screen would not power back on. Decided to reset the phone by holding down the power button. When I turned it back on, the screen came up as essentially color vomit. Looks like tiny lines of pixels made up mostly of pink and purple. The screen is responsive to my touch and I can enter my pattern. I let my phone's battery die off and after doing so, I plugged it in. Phone's screen came up with an error and said if it happens again to do a system restart or try to start the phone. Thought it was working, so I started the phone. Phone worked for a few hours and then I went to sleep. When I woke up, phone appeared to be working. Few minutes later, the screen froze again. Turned the phone off and back on. Same color vomit. Great. Fully charged phone and gotta wait for it to die again. Messed with it a few times after and somehow the screen started working again to give me the same error message. Opened the phone again and it worked. Downloaded my phone's info and did a system restart through the settings app. Everything went normal and my info was erased. Started the process of setting up my phone again, connected my Google account, created a pattern, and then during set up the screen froze again. Turned phone off and back on and color vomit again. Now I'm on today and letting my battery die is not working. No matter what I do, I cannot access the same error to do a restart and cannot enter the boot menu. Power+Volume Up or Power+Volume Down gives me nothing. I've downloaded Android Studio to use the SDK Manager, but can't figure out how to access SDK Manager. My phone has never been set to allow Debug Mode, so I'm not even sure if that would help. Around June or July I had dropped my phone and cracked the screen and had that repaired. It has worked like normal until now. I am unsure if this is a system error or a screen error. At this point, I don't know which I would prefer. Is there anything I can do myself or do I need to take it to a repair shop? [link] [comments]  |
