For anyone using Redmi 10x 5g and having stutters in video apps, disable dark mode.

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 07:46 PM PDT

For some reason dark mode made youtube and any other video apps to have frame drops and stuttering. Watching 1080p 60 fps videos on youtube was giving me 50 fps until i disabled dark mode.

Settings > Display > Dark Mode

Edit: Dark mode was also the cause of the over sharpening on some video apps

    xiaomieu redmi note 9s experience

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 09:15 PM PDT

yes you have to unlock bootloader and flash twrp and flash rom, experience: Silky Smooth, constant updates, lots of exclusive cool themes in the store not available to global regions, more features and settings as being able to switch Control Centre side/ Notifications right<>left among many other features, benchmark scores are the same as global 9s version, but this rom xiaomieu feels more silky smooth. Animations more fluid and feels way better than global. Still testing Battery SOT.

Haylou GT1 Pro - Fix for one unresponsive earbud

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 06:30 PM PDT

A while ago I complained here that one of my earbuds went unresponsive. There was no light, no sounds, and touching it doesn't work so you can't reset it. It hapoened a few times already and I have found a consistent fix to get it working every time.

    1) DO NOT charge/put the unresponsive earbud in the charging case. 2) Wait until the earbuds drain its battery life. This may take up a few hours. 3) When you think it's dead, put it back in the case and see if the red light turns on; it means it's responsive again. If it doesn't, keep waiting till it finally dies.

MIUI12 - How to remove top functions in "recently used apps" window?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:22 AM PDT

I updated my Poco F1 to MIUI 12.

And I wonder if you can change the "recently used apps" window and remove (adjust) the 4 top functions.

Maybe this pic clarifies my issue

Redmi Note 7 Global received MIUI V12.0.2.0.QFGEU (818mb)

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:51 AM PDT

I don't want to be their almost beta tester (don't care they claim it's stable) and I don't care since it's not my primary phone anymore, just want to cheer if anyone is still waiting it.

A week ago I changed my Galaxy S20 Ultra (exynos) to the Xiaomi Mi 10t Pro 5G. Here are my initial thoughts.

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:37 AM PDT

So, here are a few of my personal takes on the switch from a a Galaxy S20U to the Mi 10t PRO 5G.

    • The build feels a bit cheap, but beautiful nonetheless.
    • The screen is very good but I do miss the AMOLED display.
    • The speaker on the mi 10t pro is not the best. It's good for watching Youtube, Netflix etc. but for music you need headphones.
    • The battery-life is awesome. I can get up to 10h SOT, even more if i tune down the settings a bit.
    • Charging is very fast. The charger included in the box (33w) charges it up very quickly. No wireless charging though.
    • The Snapdragon 865 on the mi 10t pro is much better than the Exynos one on the S20U. Quicker, snappier, no overheating, better battery-life etc.
    • The software is okay, no ads (like on the S20U), Don't really know too much about updates, security etc. yet. I dislike the "rolling" text in the quick-settings display though. Simply bad.
    • My phone is in Finnish and I've found one or two instances where the spelling is a bit off.
    • The camera is really good, zooming is not as good as on the s20U, but for a phone half the price of the s20U, it's amazing. The optic image stabilization is very good.
    • Love the fingerprint reader on the mi 10t pro. It's quick and very secure.
    • No IP-certification on the mi 10t pro.

I do recommend the mi 10t pro. love the battery-life, the fingerprint-reader, the camera and having a non-shitty CPU. Dislike some small aspects of its software, the speaker and the lack of an ip-certification. the lack of wireless charging hasn't bothered me too much.

Only wanted to share my experience for you people.

Need a case for my brand new Mi 10, any suggestions?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 04:08 PM PDT

So this device is amazing but I need a good case for it . The original one from the box is a bit too slippery and looks a bit cheap. Do you know any good cases for the Mi 10? What case do you use on your Mi 10?

    Pocophone miui 12 bug

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 12:04 PM PDT

I am using the pocophone 1 which I just updated to miui 12 yesterday, but now whenever I access the home screen it can sometimes take several seconds to swipe, open clusters, or open apps. I can't even use the home button often. Is this a common/known bug or do I need to somehow reinstall miui?

Lock screen video wallpaper sound playing in home screen

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:37 PM PDT

So, today I made a wallpaper for my phone (Poco F1) and set it as the lock screen wallpaper. However, when I unlock the phone, the sound won't stop. Also, whenever I open an app it stops, but starts again from the beginning when I return to the home screen. Is this normal or is it just my phone? 'Cause I only wanted the sound on the lock screen. It's really annoying to have it play every time I see the home screen.

Where to find the double tap option to unlock the screen?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2020 02:46 PM PDT

I have a Mi A2 Lite and the power button is having some problems (I have to press it a couple of times to unlock the screen). I remember some time ago I was able to unlock the screen tapping it twice, but now the option seems disabled. I have Android 10 and I tried looking for this option everywhere (Settings -> Display, Settings -> System -> Gestures, ecc...), but I can't find that option. Can anyone help me please?
