Posted: 29 Oct 2020 10:09 AM PDT Last week I requested a battery replacement for my OnePlus 3T only to find out a week later that apparently I also need a screen replacement. I've had my OP3T for almost 4 years and never had any problems with it, it's been the best phone I've ever had and I'm so happy with it. That's why I decided to increase its life by getting a battery replacement. This is the first time I've had to deal with OnePlus costumer support and let me tell you they are absolutely terrible. First of all they told me that their repair team found out that my screen has dead pixels in some area of the screen, which even if that's the case I am okay with it. All I need is my battery to last. But no, they said I need to get both things repaired or else they will not help me at all. Both repairs including labor cost $120 USD. Why would I want to spend that kind of money for a repair when I could just buy another device on ebay for the same price. I tried to deal with them saying that I specifically requested for a battery replacement and not for any other service but they said they don't do partial repairs. If I would have known that they were going to do that I wouldn't have sent the phone in the first place. I want a battery, I pay for the battery, simple as that. I mean the phone is out of warranty anyways so I am the one who's going to pay out of pocket. Why not just do the service their costumer request? I'm so dissapointed, I was so loyal to the brand and always made sure people knew about their great phones but now I'm definitely never buying a OnePlus again. Edit: just for reference phone was sent to an authorized repair center in Texas. Edit2: all communication I had was through their online costumer suppory chat on Oneplus.com [link] [comments]
Extremely disappointed with this brand! Never Settle? How about Never Again! FIX Oneplus 5/5T Posted: 29 Oct 2020 04:53 PM PDT I would start with "Good Day" but it's not it's a bad day. I have been waiting months for an update for my Oneplus 5T. Since your poorly optimized android 10 update everything on my phone became worse. Still no EIS, I haven't been able to shoot a damn proper video for months, my battery is draining crazy, wifi is not working properly and the phone became sluggish in general. I'm very tired of waiting. This isn't a small delay it has been months for God's sake. I want my phone to function properly. It is your responsibility fix this Oneplus! I didn't do anything wrong and why do I have to suffer from your half-assed update?! I don't want to factory reset my phone because of your mistake. It is such a waste of time and effort... How can you trust this brand ever again if they just break your phone with one update and fail to fix it for months! People have business and plans to do with their phones. This brand is completely untrustworthy. If OnePlus Nord, I'd go south from now on. Some of you may think I'm puking out my rage here and you would be exactly right. I am! This brand is trying to compete with higher end brands but how can it with this kind of poor service. Sure it's not as expensive as other brands but the service is cheap too it seems. Very disappointed OnePlus... My sympathies with all the other fellow 5/5T owners, they ruined our devices good. [link] [comments]

To be honest, I'm getting a little sick of my OP8P, and it upsets me. Posted: 29 Oct 2020 06:26 AM PDT Hi All, So about a week ago, I posted what seemed to be a popular thread about a print service draining battery, and at the time it really helped with my battery life, and it seems a few other peoples also, great stuff. However, I have noticed today, especially today that my battery is taking a hammering. Example, I went into a meeting, battery at 100%, I did a restart also just to clear everything down, it sat there on silent with a few notifications, nothing else, after the meeting 6% gone, it literally did nothing, and it was on excellent signal as we have a repeater close by. I love this phone I do, but I need its battery to work for me, and in a morning using 40% while essentially just streaming spotify is terrible. I think OP needs to stop pushing new phones and fix their software, im very much on the fence about getting rid of this phone (As OP refused to lend me a loaner phone as I didn't have 3 previous purchases from them) and switch out to the Pixel 5. Any thoughts and advice? Thanks [link] [comments]
Anyone with a OnePlus 8T on AT&T? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 06:06 PM PDT Hi. Just wanted to ask a question to any owner of the 8T using it on at&t, has your signal strength stayed consistent with other phones you've had or better or worse? The question comes about the written review on Android Police and a video they posted about the 8T, in both of them the say "spotty signal" or " weak signal" as cons of the phone. Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:20 PM PDT I got my 8T on 18th October. I absolutely love this phone, except for the camera (which is quite the non-upgrade). Since the last few days the battery life has really gone to shit, I don't know why, I barely managing 5 hours SOT even though the same usage got me almost 7 hours SOT in the first week, detailed battery usage doesn't return any red flags and I'm getting tired now. Does anybody feel the same? or has any pointers on improving it? [link] [comments]

Reasons why I switched back from the Pixel 5 to my OP7 pro Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:27 AM PDT I was actually still pleased with my 7 pro but the camera experience for me was horrible since the slightest object-movement resulted in blurry pics. Furthermore in Germany the pixel 5 costs around 620€ and they give you nice Bose headphones with it. So why did I switch back? Here are my reasons:
I am thinking about keeping my 7 pro till an iphone with 90 hz will be released. Regarding the camera, I am not a photographer but when I decide to shoot a pic I expect it to be crisp with zero blurriness which was the case with the pixel. Peace. [link] [comments]
Dog ate 1 of my OP Buds. Able to buy replacement? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:16 PM PDT So pretty much as the title says. My dog got hold of the left hand bud and has chewed the hell out of it so that it's now in about 15 different tiny pieces. Absolutely no way to recover it. Is it possible to buy just one bud and without all the accessories etc? A bit annoying only having 1 bud and a case. He's chewed a bit out of the other one but it's perfectly functional. Posted: 29 Oct 2020 04:33 PM PDT Hello all, I'm looking to upgrade my and my wife's phone. We currently have the note 9. I'm tired of reading and watching reviews. We mostly use our phones for reading reddit / internet stuff and taking pictures / videos of the kids. Was also thinking of maybe getting an Xperia 5 ll. We are in the US so won't be able to for awhile. Idk how to measure 65w charge vs wireless... Ugh. And then the 8t cam vs 8pro...but then the note has a lot more camera options Help :). Posted: 29 Oct 2020 02:56 PM PDT Hi all, My Pixel 3 is giving up on me so I'm looking forward to switching device soon. I'm eyeing on the 8T but the price here in Canada is a bit pricey. So I wanted to ask if anyone has bought Oneplus from Aliexpress and how was your experience. And in case I need to repair it, would Oneplus Canada accept it? Thank you in advance for your responses. Posted: 29 Oct 2020 02:49 PM PDT Hi, i just got a OnePlus 8 and I noticed when you try to zoom in a lot on a picture in the gallery it will zoom out on it's own when you release your fingers , like if it didn't want you to zoom in that much even though it can. Is it possible to avoid that? It's kinda bothering for looking at pictures with lots of fine details that need zooming in. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Always on display burn-in after a week 8 Pro Posted: 29 Oct 2020 01:14 PM PDT Just a heads-up, I've had the always on display turned on between 0600 and 2200 on my 8 Pro for a week now, and I'm getting burn-in/image retention in its "starting" position already. Don't think it moves enough. It's mainly the first letters of the weekday that's burned in. Visible at < 30 % brightness, and the new update also bright a nice purple tint to offset my green tint. Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:06 PM PDT Just wondering if folks have more experience with Oneplus. It seems the Pro sandstone case has been sold out for a while. Do they restock often? Or is it just out for a spell. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 04:01 PM PDT So I just got my OnePlus Buds and the fast pair doesn't work. My suspicion is that I got the Chinese version, which explains why it won't fast pair. My firmware version on the buds is 350.350.309 Anyone with the same or different firmware version on the buds? Any solutions? [link] [comments]
Oneplus AppLocker - Other devices Posted: 29 Oct 2020 07:46 PM PDT So my Oneplus 6 died on me and I'm using a samsung note in the mean time until I can afford a OP7P. One of the best features I enjoyed was the app locker and I tried most of the ones on they play store and they pale in comparison. I was wondering if there is one that works just as good or a way to side load the OP one? Any help would be much appreciated [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 07:40 PM PDT Finally upgraded to a nice phone the other week from being on cheap Motorola's and I do love this phone. But the first thing I noticed was the battery just disappearing so fast. Snapchat being 93%, youtube being 84% discord being 44% despite I barely use it just occasionally send a message on it. Don't really use other apps just normal browsing and this is on 60hz because the battery is so bad. Battery very much struggles to last a day, is this a fixable issue or is it just the phone itself. It's a great camera and great phone but the battery is a buzz kill any advice? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:51 PM PDT Ever since I upgraded to oxygen 15 a few days ago my Bluetooth headphones won't play music they connect but will not play anyone else having this issue I'm on OnePlus 8 [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Oct 2020 08:44 PM PDT I just upgraded to a OnePlus 6t from a pixel 2 xl and I'm loving it. I was a little weary about upgrading to a 2 year old phone but the speed increase is surprisingly noticable. The 8gb of ram ensures that I never notice apps closing while I still want them running. The one nice thing I miss is the camera, I still haven't found the most stable g cam rom. Overall it's been a fast and smooth exlerience so far. The first upgrade I want to do in the future is new battery (I get around 6 hours of sot with medium usage). I'll definitely get a replacement glass back though after reading all the stories about how easy it is to shatter it when removing. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2020 03:37 PM PDT Hey all, I'm looking at getting the 8 Pro to replace my Mi 9. I live in the States so the Mi 9 kinda sucks here despite being a pretty great phone. Does the 8 Pro get good signal in urban areas? And does Wifi Calling work on the unlocked one? I use T-Mobile. [link] [comments]

OP8T not working with Android Auto Posted: 29 Oct 2020 06:39 PM PDT So I had mixed results with Android Auto when I first connected. But after a day and attempting again, it just doesn't work at all now. It doesn't even charge the phone. I have tried different cables. Nothing. Different Android phone (Samsung S10+) which worked. Just the OP8T. Anyone have advice? [link] [comments]
Oneplus 7T owners: How is the camera after about a year since release? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 02:21 PM PDT The 7T is on sale for less than the new Pixel 4a 5G, so I'm considering picking it up. However, it's just the camera holding me back. I read both positive and negative reviews of it. What are you thoughts after a year of updates? Also, how well does the gcam port work on it?
