Posted: 01 Oct 2020 02:26 PM PDT I love OnePlus. My 7T Pro is doing an amazing job and I am not planning to replace it at least for a few years. Saying this was important for me because otherwise I would get downvoted to hell just for pointing some problems which could cause OnePlus to go downhill in a matter of time. BUT, I think there are several reasons why OnePlus needs to think over their developmenty especially in the last 2 years. First of all there are just so many devices OnePlus released recently, 8 in 12 months to be exactly. And don't get me wrong, nobody has something against a wide range of devices for everyone, but are so many really necessary? I mean there are some trade offs which consequently come with so many released devices. Slower updates and sometimes only minimal differences between 2 devices. For example: If I want a budget phone, OP wants me to buy a NORD. But what about a 7T, which is now in the same price range? The are just too similar, so one of them makes the other one superflous. Release 1-3 devices a year and everyone will be happy. Faster updates, better support for every single phone and a clear separation which makes every phone a little bit more special. Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:24 PM PDT Long story short, my OP6T took a swim, and for a while, it didn't turn on. So I put it in a rice bag for a few days and tried turning it on. It turned on but the screen started training green and eventually it started glitching and became completely unreadable. Lag, screen static, the entire 22 yards. I put it back in the rice bag, started using a spare phone and even was on the market for a new phone. And after a few more days, out of the blue, I decided to turn it on, and lo and behold, it works! The camera was a little foggy to begin with, but a little hairdryer exposure, the camera defogged. But otherwise, it doesn't lag, the screen works perfectly! In fact, I'm using it right now! I suspect the battery life has taken a slight hit, and maybe it's just me but I feel the camera isn't as good as it used to be, but all in all, I am really happy! Got extremely lucky! 😁 [link] [comments]
OnePlus Buds minimum volume too loud on ios devices? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 03:24 PM PDT The volume level is fine on my OnePlus 7T, but whenever I pair it with my iPad Air 2, the minimum volume is way too loud, I can't find any way to adjust it. Anyone having the same issues? [link] [comments]
OP 7tPro auto brightness goes too dark Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:41 AM PDT After last update my OP 7tPro auto brightness started going too dark under artificial indirect light conditions. I have two same model phones and both experience this problem. Is there some way to fix it? Thanks. [link] [comments]

What happened to the updates for the 7T Pro? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 10:42 AM PDT I'm still on 10.0.9.hd01ba since April! I thought we'd have 3 years of updates at least. [link] [comments]
Any way of sharing my photos and videos in their original quality? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 06:51 AM PDT I'm pretty new to OnePlus, the upload quality to social media from my nord is shockingly bad. I might as well be uploading from a 5 year old device. Now I've read a bit and the consensus seems to be it's the apps fault as they're optimized for iPhones and too many android devices mean they can't maintain quality. Another post I read said if sharing photos is that important get an iPhone. Is the above really all we can do? Is there no other way of sharing my HQ videos and pictures with others? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:55 PM PDT I remember a few years ago being wowed that OnePlus updated it's phones as fast as Google updated theirs. Was I misinformed or are they dropping the ball for the rest of their line up that isn't the newest flagship? [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Oct 2020 08:12 PM PDT I've myself a nice OnePlus 7 Pro (my first ever most flagship phone I've ever owned). Love the phone, love the massive screen without any notch or punch hole. Recently I've been looking for adapters for earphones to go with the phone. Are there any good reliable ones that people use or know of? Thanks [link] [comments]
Can someone please give a chrome fix? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:21 AM PDT I am using kiwi browser which uses the Chrome engine. I have been facing chrome freezing issues for the last one month. The issue is that the inertial scrolling stops working randomly, it's like to get to the bottom of the page, I have to literally scroll hundred times. I have tried these solutions and none of them works: Changed web view implementation to the beta version Tried kiwi, the same issue was there in chrome. Changed the smooth scrolling flag in chrome The issue is very random and it sometimes gets fixed by turning the display on and off. Can anyone please suggest a solution The issue is not there in Firefox. But I have a lot of extensions on kiwi which I don't want to leave. [link] [comments]
The OnePlus 8 Pro has a fake Zero shutter lag Posted: 01 Oct 2020 03:24 PM PDT Good try, OnePlus. I love this phone, I upgraded from the pixel 4 XL two days ago and it's an awesome phone. But OnePlus tried to cheat us with the camera app. We all know that the iPhone and the pixel, have the zero shutter lag mode. That means they take the image instantly, as soon as you tap on the shutter, that's the picture you'll get. On the OnePlus, it looks like that's the case, but it's just an illusion. When you hit on the shutter lag, the animation will start instantly and the picture will go to the thumbnail, but as soon as you open the picture you will see how it transforms to another picture taken some milliseconds later. This milliseconds are what separate a shot taken just in time and in focus, to a shot taken late and blurry. Because that's another thing, the pixel doesn't care about noise and it will make the shutter speed faster but the OnePlus will keep it high and things will look blurry if they're moving like people or pets. Did Android 10/OOS 10 update on OP7/7 Pro decrease volume levels in headphones (especially wired) ? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 08:35 AM PDT I have OP7. For all this time i was holding on to the OOS 9/A9 version. Did update to stable 10 (OOS 10.0.1 and OOS 10.3.4) twice but ended up coming back to OOS 9 every single time. Many bugs, constant crashes were some of the issues. This time i thought to move to Beta channel. So i installed the latest Open Beta 18 and for major part i ironically found out it to be much better than stable. Experienced no bugs in few days of usage, no crashes either and has way more features than Stable. But... There is one issue! Whenever i plug in my headphones and listen to music, loudness seems to have suffered a LOT. Now headphones are a lot quieter. Instantly observed the same. Does anyone else also have the same issue? And what could the problem? Is it also present on other stable and beta versions or just an issue with OB 18? [link] [comments]
Unable to update OnePlus gallery app Posted: 01 Oct 2020 01:16 PM PDT Ever since updating to the android 11 beta I have been unable to update the OnePlus gallery app. It just errors out in the playstore. It's not a huge issue as I don't actually use the app it's just a bit annoying. Has anyone else had this issue? And if so is there a known fix for it. I'm on an 8 pro if it makes any difference. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Buying a OnePlus 8 Pro Now vs 8t in Two Weeks Posted: 01 Oct 2020 09:25 AM PDT So I am not in need of a phone any time soon but as the release of the 8t approaches, I'm trying to find a good reason as to why I should wait for the new one. Although it is not clear as to whether or not the 8t will have a 865+, that really is the only reason why I would like to get the 8t. The curved screen of the pro is not really a problem for me but the known screen issues I want to be weary of unless they have been fixed recently. I would be getting the highest version of either choice. My question to you guy is, is the possibility of the 865+ significant enough over the regular 865 to wait? Or would it be good to wait anyways for the full reveal? I've heard the 8t's price is going to be pretty competitive with top-shelf hardware but if I could buy the 8 Pro today, then I would with good enough reason. Much appreciated [link] [comments]
"To clear this notification close app from task manager and reopen it" Posted: 01 Oct 2020 04:05 PM PDT I haven't notification that is asking me to exclude an app from battery optimization. I excluded the app, but the notification does not go away. the notification says "to clear this notification close app from task manager and reopen it". I assumed it meant the recent apps screen that you get by swiping up and holding, but that didn't do it. Does OnePlus have some other task manager I'm unaware of? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2020 09:06 PM PDT Just want to say I've had the OnePlus 8 for a couple weeks and I love it!
I came from an LG v40, and before that the LG v30, so forgive me if I don't know what I'm talking about. Just wanted to share a positive review. Hope it stays this smooth for a while and the battery doesn't crap out (seemed to happen with LG). Thanks for stopping by! And go OnePlus, you have a new fan! [link] [comments]
Oneplus One with battery issues Posted: 01 Oct 2020 07:13 AM PDT My Oneplus one is having battery issues and the indicator does not move from 50%, not in os or while switched off, every time I power on my phone it gets the "Battery too low to power on" screen. I have tried different roms and also different batteries (althought second one was not rated for the phone) I have a feeling I might have damaged the battery connector but to the naked eye it looks alright [link] [comments]
What sound enhancement setting works best with the oneplus buds? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 02:30 PM PDT It's kind of shocking how they haven't added a special preset setting for the oneplus buds, the ones they do have work very well. Does anyone know which one of the existing ones works best? Thanks guys. [link] [comments]
