For those who end up deleting stock OnePlus apps(mistakenly or otherwise) and want them back! Posted: 02 Oct 2020 08:53 AM PDT If you end up deleting any of the stock OP apps and it isn't listed in PlayStore either, it is very simple to get them back. I see a lot of people struggling to find them, so here is an easy way. Download Solid Explorer file manager > Enable "root storage" from settings. Now open -> - Root Storage > System > Reserve > x,y,z apps... All the pre installed OnePlus app's apk will be listed here in respective folders. Just install the apk and you are good to go. EDIT - Realised there are a lot more apps available in Root Storage > System > Apps > x,y,z apps... So basically every pre installed app that can be uninstalled is available in these two folders - "Reserve and Apps"

Settings for optimizing battery life Posted: 02 Oct 2020 01:58 AM PDT What are some OnePlus-specific settings for getting more battery life? My 7T barely lasts me a day now. I've disabled ram boost and adaptive battery life as seen in a comment in this sub but that didn't make any difference. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus wants me to pay to repair a phone that has factory reset by itself twice now Posted: 02 Oct 2020 10:50 AM PDT I'm at a loss with this company. I will absolutely never buy a phone from them again. I have a OnePlus 6T that I bought brand new from them in March of 2019. In September of 2019, I woke up to the phone factory reset, all by itself. I tried the usual Google search to find a few people saying their phones had somehow switched to a guest account. This was not my case, I was still on the owner account on my phone. I contacted support and they were not able to do anything. I sucked it up and re-downloaded all my apps, etc. Now today, I woke up and the phone did the same thing and will no longer recognize my SIM card. The phone was absolutely fine when I plugged it into my (factory) charger last night before I went to bed. I have never had the phone in water. I have dropped it a time or two, inevitably. But now they want me to pay to have it repaired, because it is now out of warranty. It wasn't out of warranty the first time, but I was never offered a repair or a refund or anything. But I find it insane that I have to pay to repair a phone that has factory reset itself twice. How can I, as a consumer, prevent that? I understand having to pay for a cracked screen, or something of the like. But this? This is ridiculous. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't even want my phone at this point. Posted: 01 Oct 2020 11:29 PM PDT I don't get it. What is the point of OnePlus World? You just get to make an ugly avatar, play some dumb games and look at OnePlus ads in a crappy 3d view. Is there something I am missing? [link] [comments] |

Huge problem With battery draining Posted: 02 Oct 2020 04:01 PM PDT I just got my new OP8T Pro 256GB 12RAM And my battery draining rapidly (while writing this post 5% drained). My battery is draining while fast charging (connected my device at 45% using wireless charging and after 3 hours had 41%) I'm clueless how to fix it or what is even the problem. I need help ASAP! Want a camera protector One Plus 8 5G (Tmobile) Posted: 02 Oct 2020 07:07 PM PDT I am using a the Olixar for OnePlus 8 Case with Screen Protector that I bought on Amazon. I did punch out their screen protector because I prefer the one from T-mobile. I don't like that the back only protects the camera from a drop. I want to protect it from items in my pocket. Can anyone suggest a good protector on Amazon just for the camera lens? [link] [comments] |
OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Power Adapter Posted: 02 Oct 2020 03:00 AM PDT I recently lost my OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Power Adapter that came with my OnePlus Nord. OnePlus want £29.99 for a new charger which seems a bit much - does anyone know if I can just buy a 30W power adapter from somewhere else and it will still Warp Charge? Seen some on eBay for around £10. Any help appreciated! Thanks [link] [comments] |
Possible to disable/change/remove encryption password OP3? Posted: 02 Oct 2020 06:11 PM PDT I'm unable to get rid of, or change the encryption password it asks BEFORE booting. There is another one you can enable/disable/change in security settings but that is no issue. I've tried factory reset, flashing stock kernel, deleting dalvik/art cache, cache, data, internal storage, system and reinstalling most recent STOCK OS firmware. It still asks for the same encryption password. I think this encryption came about after installing twrp/custom rom/franco kernel. I know the password, but I want to give the phone to a relative so I need to be able to at least change it. Any idea's what I can do? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 Oct 2020 05:40 PM PDT I really love OnePlus a lot and I currently use OnePlus 8(Bought it when it first went on sale) and I'm in love with this phone🥰. Now I'm a bit disappointed on how OnePlus are now launching the 8t for a rumoured similar price or lower price than the 8. I mean on comparison I wouldn't really need the 65w charger because the 30t is already frickin fast. 120 hz is an addition and an improvement in the camera module. Honestly I wouldn't have minded if it were like 50$ more also. It being priced less just makes me feel cheated😠[link] [comments] |

How do you get the OnePlus Buds app? Posted: 02 Oct 2020 04:15 PM PDT Thinking of picking up a pair of their buds in the next month or two but it seems the only way to customize them is with the OnePlus Buds app, I have a 7T which was released before the Buds came out so I don't have the app pre-installed and it's not in the playstore, do you really need a OnePlus 8 or Nord in order to customize them? Will the 7t pro be restocked or is it discontinued Posted: 02 Oct 2020 03:56 PM PDT It's out of stock everywhere so I was wondering if they are going to make new stock of it [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Oct 2020 05:35 AM PDT They both are similar in terms of specs but I'm not sure which to choose. I am mainly leaning towards oneplus 8 cause mainly because of battery life but here since I'm probably gonna buy it online, I can get a s20 snapdragon for 3000 rm or a oneplus 8 for the same price [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 8 pro automatically switching between normal and telephoto when on telephoto Posted: 02 Oct 2020 10:51 AM PDT So I was trying some video on the telephoto lens today and noticed that when I focus on something that's close up, it seems to blink and switch to the normal camera, just zoomed in, because the quality drops and the colours are slightly different. It's really annoying bcs when I want to do an close up cinematic shot, it pretty low quality. This happens in photos too on the telephoto option. Is there any fix to this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Oct 2020 01:46 PM PDT Hey all! In a couple months, I'm hoping to upgrade from my LG V30 I've had since late December of 2018 to a 7 Pro. Problem is, I'm locked into using Verizon, and I cannot find many explicitly Verizon compatible 7 Pros on Amazon (I've found one listing with only 1 left in stock, and I doubt it'll still be there when I have the money). Can't find one on B&H, either. It seems to be out of stock on the OnePlus website. Am I just stuck using eBay? [link] [comments] |

I’m looking to buy a oneplus phone coming from a iPhone X Posted: 02 Oct 2020 05:37 AM PDT I'm looking for a new phone since my iPhone has served me long enough and the battery life is not good, I'm just looking for the best overall phone, I have heard the oneplus 8 or the pro is a good choice but which one is worth it? Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:58 PM PDT I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 7T. Should I wait until after the 8T announcement in the hopes of a price drop? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:56 PM PDT Hi, I'm on my second OnePlus (7T), coming from a 5T and there are some glitches about it that quite frankly make it unusable for me. I'm curious what people's experience has been with the 8s to see what direction they've gone and whether I should pick up an 8T or look at something else. There are two main issues with the 7T that I'm experiencing, face touches on buttons during calls (deal breaker, phone has to go) and random freezes when going back to the home screen where it'll just display the wallpaper and do nothing until I turn the screen off then back on again (just annoying). 5T never did any of these which is why I had it for as long as I did and got a second OP phone. If the 7T had been my first experience, I would never consider buying another. How've the 8s been so far for people? [link] [comments] |
To loud minimum volume on Oneplus Bullet Posted: 02 Oct 2020 06:50 AM PDT I have a pair of Oneplus Bullet in-ears for my Oneplus 7 Pro and have noticed that the minimum volume is way to loud. The ringing tone during a call when waiting for the other one to pick up is so loud I want to take out the in-ears so I won't destroy my ears, the same is when someone talks on the other end. The volume sliders are at the bottom and Dolby Atmos settings aren't changing it a bit. Does anyone have any idea? I made a post on the Oneplus forum long ago but no input there. https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/very-loud-lowest-volume-on-usb-c-bullet-earphones.1082855/ [link] [comments] |
