Posted: 03 Sep 2020 03:09 AM PDT I am looking at my cellphone right now (Redmi Note 6 Pro) And I realised how lucky I am that xiaomi exists, yes there might be some problems from time to time but lets not forget that xiaomi is the revolution right now in mobile phones, the money you give for the specs their phones have is out of this world, i can never imagine right now to own a Samsung or Huawei, their phones are a total rip off especially Samsung.. I am not a fanboy or something I just believe the best choice I did back in 2017 is to buy a redmi 4a, since then I wont change xiaomi. [link] [comments]  | ||

The default rom has way too much problems : unremovable apps, unability to pull the notifications bar when receiving one, unability to see below the notifications (the rest of the screen goes black), the phone wakes up when moved, even thought the option is off etc. Thus this texte, thanks in advance. Coming from a long line of Pixels, the first thing in trying to do is "googlefy" the phone. In the stock MIUI home screen, there's a fixed search bar with an "assistant" icon to it's right - not unlike the google search bar on the pixel. Is there a way to program this to:

Even when I'm given the choice to just apply it to the home screen, the wallpaper still shows on the lockscreen This happens no matter what live wallpaper I set to just the homescreen. Posted: 03 Sep 2020 03:16 PM PDT So her mi note 5 plus froze and when trying to restart it it went to a bootloop, I can't seem to be able to access to recovery mode (or maybe I don't know how?) But I can access fatboot. So my question is what are my options to try to remedy it? If possible I'd like to keep her stuff, apps and accounts. If you can suggest me a way to try a few things like flushing cache or if anything doing a factory reset from a PC that'd be great, if I can do it with an utility instead of directly using adb commands that'd be even better. I need to add that it is on stock, never rooted, never flashed a rom, updated through otas a couple of times and couldn't tell you exactly what firmware version it's on right now. If it starts trying to turn on, I can't find a way to turn it off, it only ever turns off when running out of power. [link] [comments]  | ||

At first it was camera but I'm okay with the pictures being on internal storage if not SD card. The camera top notch battery life is stellar, that fast charging insane refresh rate is great. Not to mention having 16gb of ram just because lol. Yesterday I bought a Xiaomi, set it up and updated it. My laptop (and my desktop pc too) disconnects from it every 15-30 minutes. Sometimes it comes back on after 10 seconds or something (and if i check my phone, the hotspot icon in the upper tray disappears for a few seconds and then reappears). Sometimes it stays disconnected for long, and the phone says it has hotspot on but the computer can't connect to it or doesn't even show the connection. My 3+ year old Motorola has never given me these problems. Is this a hardware problem, or software? Should i return it and never look back? edit: looks like the problem stays only with the 5 GHz band, if i put the wi-fi hotspot at 2.4 GHz it's ok. what should i do? [link] [comments]  | ||

He has some data that he wants to save. He doesn't remember his Mi Acc Credentials nor has a custom recovery flashed. So he brought it to me but I don't use an Mi phone.
