    Hey Samsung, you're trash..

Sent in a device for trade-in and you guys denied it for seemingly no reason. Then you ship it back to me with signature confirmation and restrictions to not be able to change it to pick up. Since I have a job, I naturally miss the delivery attempts. 4 hours on the phone with FedEx and they say that the shipper will not allow me to pick it up or redeliver it without Samsung authorizing it. Total of 5 hours and multiple calls to Samsung and your supervisors, nothing has been done. It is now day 21, give me my shit back.

So just a heads up to anyone thinking of purchasing anything from Samsung. If it has signature confirmation and you miss the delivery attempts you will be waiting a minimum of 1 month to get your shit.

Here's my ticket # samsung in case any of you are reading this: 3316592

Edit: thanks for the downvotes, it's really helping to keep Samsung accountable. /s

    Edit2: thanks for the updoots!

Should you get the galaxy Z fold 2?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 07:51 AM PDT

Who is the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2 meant for? Who's the target audience for this device and why is it so expensive.

Has anyone seen any cases, other than the Samsung brand, that are for sale yet? Only ones I have found are from Spigen and they aren't gonna have them available until November.

    Lost Interest in Samsung

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 08:13 AM PDT

I am really considering iphone for my next phone cycle. I am tired of samsung. For context, I bought s5, s6 edge plus, s8 and am now at s10. The s5 and s6edge plus were really good but then it started to decline in functionality and performance. My s8 fucking sucked and started to lag behind due to no new os update, like how do you justify two years of os updates (now 3 years). Then I switch to s10, this was a really solid phone, but the os update problem came in. I look at my dad's iphone, and he went from iphone 6s to iphone 11, and the 6s is still really "smooth" for its age. Plus apple products have a great resell value. Now iphone, as a stand alone cant be compared to s10 on its own, but I am also in need for a new tablet and laptop. The ipad and macbook make the iphone experience so much smoother, like it enhances it, (My friend has them and ive experienced it). Also I am tired of ALL the bloatware samsung installs on its phone, you cant even uninstall it. The new samsung phones are costing just as much as iphones now, even more.

    Rant Over.

Got my galaxy s20+ recently and the notification panel is doubled or something it is weird and i cant fix it has this happened to anyone else and does someone have a fix?

Why does my Galaxy A71 have the black smear issue (which you guys said is normal for AMOLED screens) but my low end Galaxy phone with AMOLED doesn't even have such?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 07:20 AM PDT

Love my A71. But if I have to nitpick, it has to be the black smear thing. It's very noticeable especially when I use it at night with dark mode on. It looks AWFUL when I scroll. My old, low end Galaxy J phone didn't even have this. I just find it interesting that A71's Super AMOLED Plus screen performs worse than the low end Galaxy J's regular Super AMOLED screen. What's Samsung smoking??? I don't get it at all.

    Samsung Rewards Points

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 06:49 AM PDT

Has anyone received samsung rewards points from their note 20 purchases? It has been 15 days since I received my phone and I have not been credited with the samsung points yet. I do not even see the points as pending. How long does it normally take to be credited the points? Thanks!

Is anyone else having issues with youtube now where your phone glitches and won't let you close out of the video? Whenever I hit the arrow to exit the video, my bar with the home button pops up but I can't exit the video and it starts crashing my phone....what do I do?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 06:45 AM PDT

I've force stopped it, tried resetting the phone, but nothing works. It just keeps glitching and not letting me leave the video unless I physically close the app, wait 10 seconds, and open it again. If you're wondering, this is on an S8 model

Which charging brick are you using to charge your Galaxy watch 3?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 06:44 AM PDT

As no charging brick is provided with the watch and the cable requires USB type A. The charger of my phone is type c to type c so can't use it either.

A smaller Galaxy Tab S7 mini release!

    Posted: 02 Sep 2020 09:58 PM PDT

A smaller Galaxy Tab S7 mini release!

I hope that Samsung releases a mini version of the Tab S7

I've been in the market for ~8 inch android tablets, and have been waiting for a higher-end premium small tablet with a stylus for a long time.

    Something like this but smaller.

    https://preview.redd.it/ssx0hbzo6vk51.png?width=275&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b8a4ec8d455e20a2135c35af1c57321bb7f9bbc

Recently, I saw a leak on an 8 inch samsung tablet sm-t575 that had these features:

    • High end Exynos 9810 processor (older Galaxy S9, S9+ flagship chip)
    • 5000mah battery, common to samsung 8 inch tablets

    see leak in July: link

Since this is a higher end tablet (better than the current tab s6 lite and tab s5e processors), this likely may have the s pen as well. I was quite excited for it and was hoping for a Tab S7 mini or Tab A 8.4 s pen release for a few months.

    updated post:

A few days ago, I was disappointed to find that the sm-t575 turns out to be an update for the Galaxy Active Tab 2 (leaked picture). Well, it is an 8 inch tablet that has s pen (the active line does have it), but it isnt the design I was waiting for as it has a different form factor, slightly bigger, etc. This is probably a good update to the Tab S2 8.0 to those waiting for one, though.

Anyway, I just wanted to post this to state that I hope Samsung releases a high end 8 inch tablet with s pen (not a foldable) that is in line with their Tab S7 series (sleek, minimal bezels for smaller form factor). There is a market for this as I know many people want this. On a positive note, with this sm-t575 release (not yet, but soon) it seems like Samsung is starting to focus on mid-high end small tablets, and I hope Samsung continues this trend into 2021.

Tl;dr: Tab S7 mini good, please make it, samsung

Constant data usage on One UI 2.5

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 06:41 AM PDT

My phone was recently updated to One UI 2.5, and now I noticed a constant 30-80 KBps being downloaded to my phone at all times. This has been using my battery and drains about 25% overnight while idle, while also downloading about a gigabyte of data each night. I tried factory resetting, but the issue is still there. I'm using netspeed indicator to see my current network usage (I can also confirm that the arrows at the wifi are constantly lit).

Whats weird is that the issue goes away when I switch wifi off. Does someone else have this issue? I really don't know what it could be.

Is region lock always indicated on box? What's your experience?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 06:30 AM PDT

Photos online show a sticker with a message along the lines of "Only intended for use with ____ SIM card". Is this sticker always present or can a phone be region locked even in the absence of the sticker?

    Samsung shipping/delivery delays

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 02:37 AM PDT

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Flex 15.6 inch on Samsung.com on August 26th, 2020. I was excited as it said ships by August 28th and with expected delivery by September 1st. On Aug 28th, I was expecting a shipment notice. I soon contacted Samsung, multiple times and I was told not to worry. No shipping even till September 1st. So on September 1st, I called and texted and they told me that now it has been backorded. So, I now have to wait till September 15th. So in other words, it is going to take at least another 13 days for this item to ship. I am wondering if anyone else has had any other horror stories with Samsung's shipping/delivery. Or with this item in particular.

Galaxy or Note for a photo editor?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2020 05:47 AM PDT

Due to some recent gps issues and my screen being cracked pretty bad on my Galaxy s8, I'm starting to consider a new phone. Besides phone games and general use, I use my phone for editing photos (Photoshop express and about to try out light room on my phone as well). Im interested in possibly changing from galaxy to a note phone as a result. Would changing from a galaxy to a note help with doing more intensive editing? I also want to know if it in general would be a good switch.
