Where can I buy a laptop fan for Dell Inspiron 15 3000 15.6 inches? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 10:36 AM PDT I own a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 and recently my brother was using it and while he was carrying it, it fell from his arm. After that the fan broke because I hear rattling from it. I looked everywhere on the internet to find a fan with the same model as mine, but it is very hard to find. If you know where I can buy one could you please give me the link. Thank you! [link] [comments]
HP sucks - constant run around Posted: 28 Jul 2020 10:27 AM PDT HP customer service is awful - Order computer, get delay order email of 2 weeks. okay fine. - Get delay order email of 2 more weeks. ugh. - Get delay shipping email 1 more week. nope. - Email and cancel order, get told i can't cancel it because the factory is already making it HAHA try to return it when arrives - Computer arrives 18 days after cancellation request - chat online for refund per email, 'long wait times' warning, no response ever - Call on phone, "Why are you asking for refund sir? HP envy has great features, Hp envy is very special laptop made special in factory for you. I am curious why sir? Do you have another computer? What can we do to have you keep HP envy, very good laptop" - What.. I just want to return this.. ive been trying for 18 days - "Oh sorry sir, we must send your request to HP refunds court where your request will be reviewed because you order was HP envy, very good computer" - What is refund court? What is the criteria? - "Oh sorry sir, i cannot say.. that is up for refund court to decide in 48 hours" Never will I mess with HP for any product ever again. The HP envy was heavy as shit, hot, and looked liked toy. I would have returned it even if there wasn't a 6 week delay in my order. [link] [comments]

Can someone recommend me a laptop for school Posted: 28 Jul 2020 08:34 AM PDT So my little brother is going to middle school, the school uses laptops for education, so i thought i could help my little brother out with his search for a laptop. I'm not very experienced in pc-tech, so I thought i may ask you guys. The minimum requirements are: 11,6 inch screen, Intel 4200 processor(don't know if they accept AMD but it would better to choose Intel just to be sure), 4GB RAM, and 128 GB storage, it also needs a Windows 10 operating system. The maximum size is 13,4 cm. You can just give the name of the laptop but it would be nice if you could add a link ( country is The Netherlands)sorry for my bad English. Thanks in advance. Posted: 28 Jul 2020 12:14 PM PDT I'm seeing laptops get thinner by the day, and I'm just wondering why? I know we can make smaller parts now, but personally I'd much rather have a thicker laptop with more... things. I have an old laptop from 2005, and it has so many features! A cd/dvd player, "touchscreen" media controls, and it even has its own wireless remote! I'd love to see features like that in a newer laptop, along with higher-end components. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Jul 2020 01:45 PM PDT So, I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515 and it runs games pretty well. That being said, I would really like to sell it so I can build my own PC considering I don't travel much. I only bought the laptop a year ago for 800 dollars and I'm just wondering where I should sell it and for how much it could potentially go for. It runs Minecraft at over 60fps using extreme volumetric shaders, Valorant at over 60fps, and fortnite around 60fps. [link] [comments]
What could be the main cause for a laptop stopping to work? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 01:38 PM PDT Im curious because my laptop I bought a year ago stopped turning on a day after buying it. My sisters I bought for her a week or 2 ago stopped working so I tried fixing it to no avail. It has me wondering is this common or do I have bad luck. I bought an acer aspire 5 slim [link] [comments]
Help finalize a laptop for compSci/Software Eng. Major [Canada] [$1000] [14''] Posted: 28 Jul 2020 09:52 AM PDT LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
$1000 CAD (Canadian dollar). I can be flexible on the budget, as long as the preformance-cost ratio is improved. If you find a laptop, please post a link that can be purchased in Canada, such as amazon.ca or newegg.ca for example.
No.
Battery life, performance, build quality. I'm not sure if I need a 2-in-1, I'm looking at buying them yet am unsure if I'd make the most out of a touchscreen.
Thinness isn't a major factor. I'd prefer to keep the weight down as I'll be carrying it around campus, so roughly 3.5lbs. I'd prefer a laptop that is a bit more durable, and if either are sacrificed for that, so be it.
14''
I'll be using it in university for CompSci/Software Eng. So, I'll be using general productivity and education apps, such as Visual Studio or Google Docs. I already own a powerful gaming PC, and other than maybe Civ, I do not expect to do any gaming on this machine.
I already own a gaming PC. Perhaps very light gaming, maybe Civ or Minecraft. This is not a requirement and is low in the priority list.
Backlit keyboard, 256GB min SSD, at least 8GB of RAM, and a strong battery life is a must. A battery that is easily replaced is also very convenient for me as I'll be using this laptop non-stop for 4-5 years. A fingerprint reader would be very nice. No optical drive needed, and a good keyboard for note-taking. I am also considering a touch screen for note taking as well.
I don't need a gaming laptop, just something to use for university. I've already narrowed it down to a few laptops, and am finalising my decision. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jul 2020 01:28 PM PDT Hey everyone! I just got my new laptop today and it seems to be running a bit slowly so I was wondering if there was anything I can do to speed it up a bi. The laptop is a Thinkpad with a i7 9750H, Gtx 1650 and 16GB RAM. Any help would be appreciated but gaming seems to be awfully slow for some reason, like around 12 FPS in rocket league. Surface Laptop 3 - 13.5" vs. 15"?? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 12:42 PM PDT I have to get a new Surface Laptop 3 for work and I can choose between the 13.5" and the 15". It appears they have different processors - 13.5" has a Intel Core and 15" has AMD Ryzen. Is the Ryzen better than then Core?? Currently, I have the Surface Pro 7 and it does not run that well when I'm in Chrome with multiple other programs. So I want to choose the one that will run better. Also, if there is another laptop that someone recommends in the $1600-1800 dollar range, I can try and make a case for that. [link] [comments]

Video and Audio Stutter while gaming. Posted: 28 Jul 2020 12:34 PM PDT When I'm playing games on my HP 355 G2 with it's dedicated GPU games stutter but my CPU and GPU are not near 100% usage. I guess that's because Radeon R5 M230 only has 2GB of VRAM. But if that's the case why does the audio cut out when video stutters? Doesn't the GPU only render graphics and not the sound? Btw I'm playing old games that are not demanding. [link] [comments]
