I developed "Just For Today" - The Free Daily Planner App Posted: 27 Jul 2020 09:40 PM PDT Hi, my name is Moojj and I'm an alcoholic This year marks 5 years of sobriety. Although alcohol is no longer part of my life the damage was done. It robbed me of quality time with my children, destroyed my health and wreaked havoc on my relationships. Throughout my journey the best advice I ever received was to live just for today... Forget about yesterday... Don't worry about tomorrow... All we have is today... I've been left wondering how I can carry this message to others and continue to practice the lessons I learned. So I developed "Just For Today" -- A free app for iPhone & Android that gives you the power to create better daily habits, focus only what needs to be done today and prioritise your self-care. It's a planner for your morning, afternoon and evening that rewards daily routines. Traditional daily planners and todo lists either bombard you with a list of tasks or ask you to plan your day on a calendar. For the overwhelmed brain this is a great way to set yourself up for failure the moment you start to fall behind. It leaves many people giving up a few days later. Just For Today has been designed to prevent you from being overwhelmed. From the colour choices of morning, afternoon and evening. To the app reseting your daily list each day. Your daily routines are rewarded through daily streaks and awards. It's a different approach to daily planning. But in the midst of a global pandemic it seems more fitting than ever to adopt a "Just For Today" mindset. Download for Android on Google Play Store: Enjoy :) [link] [comments] |

A popular free reverse phone lookup app is now on Android. Posted: 28 Jul 2020 09:14 AM PDT We just released the most popular Reverse Lookup app, which has 4.7+ rating on the App Store, in the Google Play Store. Please give it a try and let us know what you think about it. We would appreciate any feedback you may have. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
Is there an app that force me to stay away for the phone for X minutes per hour? Posted: 28 Jul 2020 09:06 AM PDT Hi! I would like to start using less my phone. I have tried different strategies, and now I would like an app where I can set X, then after I have used the phone for X minutes in an hour it blocks the phone. Does an app like this exists? Video live wallpaper with scrolling Posted: 28 Jul 2020 11:57 AM PDT I have a video I want to set as live wallpaper. I know already of apps that allow that. However, they don't allow me to scroll the video horizontally when swiping left/right. Any app that does both? [link] [comments] |
I've created a NBA Game for Android Posted: 28 Jul 2020 04:19 AM PDT Hi, were are two friends who have created a new NBA game for Android In this game you will prove your NBA stats knowledge, where you can choose among any statistical category within every NBA History Season. We haven´t seen other game which provides you of an statistical volume like NBA Stats Quiz does. Moreover our stats are real-time updated! Once the game is started, you have to click on the player who had a better stat in the selected season. The stat and season are indicated on the top of the screen. You have three lives, if you click on the wrong player, you\'ll lose a live. If you make ten hits in a row, you will get a new live up to three. We think the game is very interesting for NBA fans, so if someone is interesting, there is the link to download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nbastatsquiz We hope you like the game and we are expecting your comments on how we can improve! Thanks! [link] [comments] |
App list to show off some cools apps and maybe get a few recommendations Posted: 28 Jul 2020 04:01 AM PDT 5etools Well for people who play DnD online 5etools is probably a well know resource. If you dont know it, it basically has every information that the official material offers to quickly look up. Super handy and I am glad that they made a phone version. Imo it could be further optimized but I am just happy that I have it as a standalone app. AccuBattery https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digibites.accubattery I used to use this one much more, but I still think it is one of the more solid battery tracking apps out there so I like to keep it on my phone for the time being. AnYme X I think this app is really good if you like anime. Ever since Pocket MAL kinda died I was looking for a new MAL app, MAL Client was pretty decent with some nice features but I think this one takes the cake. It looks and feels really good and it has the extremely good bonus that raiding seafarers will like it. *wink* AutomaTag https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fillobotto.mp3tagger As with the last list that was posted here this is just an Tag-Editor. Nothing more nothing less. Imo it is good at what it should do and is not bloated so its a keep for me. Backdrops https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.backdrops.wallpapers I used to use it more but from time to time I revisit it and find some nifty wallpapers that I can grab and maybe build something with KLWP. BaconReader Premium https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.onelouder.baconreader.premium) Even though this app is neither the best looking nor the most feature rich reddit reader, it is still my main reddit app. Over the time I basically used most of the common reddit apps and even paid for them. But in the end I always returned to Baconreader. IMO the seamless scrolling between post and comments combine with the swiping makes it the best to use app. I am aware that sync introduced swipe mode for subs (yay) but scrolling to comments is still super tedious. Bandcamp https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bandcamp.android Yeah its just Bandcamp. What more can I say really. If you use it you should get the app, if not dont. Bitwarden https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.x8bit.bitwarden My Password Manager. I tried LastPass and the other one that is often recommended ( I forgot the name) but for me Bitwarden was the sweet spot. Blokada https://blokada.org/index.html Much love for blockada keeping ads out is great. I haven't used its other features much though. Bundled Notes https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xaviertobin.noted) This is a note app I recently downloaded. I am still toying around with it and because of that I cannot say something definitiv about it. It is pretty feature rich and clean in my opinion and definitely worth checking out. Cinnamon https://www.google.com/search?q=com.imdevgary.cinnamon) This is a really cool Shopping list app that does a lot things right. Its feature rich but still very easy to use. I use it for most of my grocery shopping esp. if I have friends over and want to cook something bigger or I am making a meal plan for a week. CLICKPOCALYPSE II https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minmaxia.c2) Pretty fun little idle game if you are into this kind of thing. I wanted to include it on the list as I think not a lot of people know about it and I think it deserves a shout-out. Clover https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.floens.chan/ Yeah just my 4-chan app of choice. Nothing super flashy really but a solid app that does what its supposed to do. Color Grab https://www.google.com/search?q=com.loomatix.colorgrab An app i got to use while working on KLWP files to get exact hex codes. Define https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.workarounds.define I got this on from the last list that was posted a few days ago. I have already used it a ton in combination with another app that is further down the line. Basically what the app does is give you a definition for a word that you highlighted. Either from a downloaded dictionary or wikipedia. dict.cc https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cc.dict.dictcc Cool dictionary app I mainly use it when writing essays or when learning a new language Dungeon Map Generator https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=externius.rdmg Another cool thing for DMs. Basically you can tweak some settings and it gives you a dungeon that can use for your game. Very nice if u need a clutch battle map or for one shots. However, you can also use it as a base to polish it more. Geometric Weather https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=wangdaye.com.geometricweather My weather app, it shows me the weather. Shocking I know right xD IMDb https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imdb.mobile Havent found a better way to track movies or series. I would be very grateful to find something better but for now IMDb it is. Kiwi Browser https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiwibrowser.browser Yeah I don't really know what browser to use. I am neither very happy with Kiwi nor with Samsung Internet. But atm I kinda switch between the two a lot. I would love to find a really good browser. Kustom LWP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.wallpaper Love it. Best app to customize your home screen. You can do so much cool stuff with it and tinkering around in it is super relaxing. (for me at least) MALClient https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drutol.malclient That is the other MAL app I was talking about. It is definitely solid and maybe for some people the better fit over all. Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey Just imo the best Keyboard app. I wish they were more customizable but what can you do =/ Mindly https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dripgrind.mindly Cool mind map app. I dont use it very often since I am not the mind map guy, but I think a lot of people can get good uses out of it. Musicolet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.krosbits.musicolet Music players are similar to reddit readers for me. I find a lot of cools ones and can't really decide what I wanna use. Musicolet is a good player and I can wholeheartedly recommend it Muviz https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.perfectapps.muviz I always want to get this to look good and use it but everytime I used it I was very underwhelmed by it. Still I really like the idea. NetGuard https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.faircode.netguard A really cool app but since it also uses the VPN slot it is kinda obsolete with Blockada NewPipe https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.schabi.newpipe/ Great youtube app but I rarely use it. Nova Launcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher My go to launcher. Easy to use, relatively feature rich its just a no brainer for me. Omni Notes https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.feio.android.omninotes The note taking app that I used the most. It is pretty simple but thats what I like about it. Its not flashy or super feature rich but I does what its suppose to and it does it very well. Photomath https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microblink.photomath I don't use it much but when I use it, it is super helpful. I think esp for students or pupils this is a great app to have. Pigments https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sorincovor.pigments) I use it in combination with color picker to create color themes for KLWP. Pocket Plays https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nrask.notifyme A good alternativ twitch player. Imo best way to watch twitch if you are into it. Poet Assistant https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.rmen.android.poetassistant Pretty straight forward app helps you with writing poems and nothing more. If you are interested in that kinda stuff check it out if not its not for you. ProtonMail https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.protonmail.android My main email imo one of the best free email provider out there. Researcher https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.fusetech.stackademia This is a really cool app and I use it a ton. Basically it shows you all research papers that were published in a particular journal. You can customize which journals you want to see and from which fields. Then you can link your Uni account or some other way of authorization to check if you have access to the paper you want to read. It is really good for me because I read a lot of papers out of my own field of studies. This is also where define comes into play because I read a lot outside of my field of study there are often words or concepts unknown for me so it is great to quickly look them up to help further my understanding of the concepts. Retro Music https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=code.name.monkey.retromusic In my opinion is this the best music player currently available. The only problem I have with it is that the app doesnt run smooth for me some times but I haven't figure out why. However, I would still highly recommend this app . In fact, I would say this is the one app that you should 100% check out because I like it that much. SD Maid https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.sdm Its a straight forward cleaning app that is recommend for ages in this community. I guess most people here already have it but if you dont it is worth picking up. Shuttle+ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplecity.amp_pro Another good solid music player imo not as good as the other two but still good. Sleep https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.sleep My alarm clock I really like the features that it offers and I would have overslept quite a few times without it. Solid Explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solidexplorer2 File manager that offers a clean view and the tools I need a file manager to have. SoundHound ∞ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.melodis.midomiMusicIdentifier I started with Soundhound as my this is the music you are listing to app and I never had a reason to switch. It does what I want it to do and thats it. Sync Pro https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.laurencedawson.reddit_sync.pro I like to keep Sync on my phone as I think it is the reddit app with the most promise so I like to check in on it from time to time. Tachiyomi https://f-droid.org/en/packages/eu.kanade.tachiyomi/ Imo the best manga reader out there. Tasks https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.tasks/ This is a really good reminder/to do app that is free and on F-droid if thats important to you. Tigad https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.indigomadina.tigadpro I don't see Icon packs on these kinds of list very often but I think that this one deserves a shout-out currently it has 18426 and with that is the biggest icon pack I know of. It also has a very clean way to show apps that dont have icons already made for it. It doesnt look to good in themes but is my go to pack for the app drawer. ToolWiz Photos https://www.google.com/search?q=com.btows.photo Solid photo editing tool Ultra Volume https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.treydev.volume I found this app maybe two weeks ago and it lets you change the style of your volume pop-up. I think its pretty neat but not super needed or anything. Basically something fun to play around with. Wikipedia Beta https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wikipedia.beta Better Wikipedia app that the normal one. It works super well and I am happy that I found it in one of these list threads a while back. Xodo Docs https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xodo.pdf.reader One of the best PDF readers on android. I love it as I very often have to deal with pdf files. YouTube Vanced https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vanced.android.youtube The best youtube player around. Its just perfect and I love it. List made using [List My Apps](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.onyxbits.listmyapps) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Jul 2020 04:52 AM PDT Hey, I developed my first app during the Corona Pandemic and now it is finally released! "Abstract Wallpapers" is, as the name suggests, an app with abstract wallpaper. :) All wallpaper in the app, are automatically generated and handpicked by me and friends of mine. At the moment there are over 50 different wallpaper, but there are regular updates with new ones planned. If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to ask me :) I would also be happy about a rating :) Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.prtex.wallpapers [link] [comments] |

I want an app that can record short videos, stabilize them and attach reversed clip at the end. Posted: 28 Jul 2020 06:17 AM PDT Basically an alternative to Instagram's Boomerang and Google's Motion Stills. Is there an app like that? Even better if it's open source. [link] [comments] |

[HELP] Alternative dialer integrated with Google Contacts for Nubia RedMagic 5G Posted: 28 Jul 2020 05:34 AM PDT I just bought the Nubia RedMagic 5G, as you may have all seen or read in the reviews, the phone software really is dreadful in almost possible way. After upgrading to the latest firmware, some of the issues have been resolved and the phone is barely usable if you can decipher the terrible and childish English translation, but there's one thing that I still can't get around, as the title says, it's the dialer app. The phone/dialer/contact app that comes with it, does not integrate with Google Contacts and requires the creation of another account to upload all my contact details (names, numbers, emails and residential addresses), which of course, I don't want and don't need as the contacts are already in the phone. Strangely enough, the app will not work unless I also enable access to my calendar (?). A web search for alternative dialer/phone apps has shown that this is a common practice across most apps, I can't find a single one that can integrate with Google Contacts and does not require to upload the contact details to some weird server somewhere. I've tried: Simple Dialer, Druper, and TrueCaller all had the same issue. I've downloaded the Google Phone APK, but I get an "App not installed" message after trying to install it, so I reckon it doesn't work. I'm about to give up on this phone as I really don't want to keep using a separate device just to access work sensitive data, but decided to give it a shot and ask for advice before giving up. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jul 2020 11:32 PM PDT I have never used anything but the stock app. But I'm kind of bored right now and looking for any interesting dialer apps that might have features that most stock ones don't have. [link] [comments] |
