This phone has been amazing so far and is a really nice change from my old iPhone 8! BTW my sister has been having tons of issues even setting up her phone. | Issues with OnePlus 6T after updating to Android 10. Posted: 02 Jun 2020 03:21 AM PDT I've been noticing it since first day on Android 10 that phone has lost that fluidity. There are random frame drops after just unlocking the phone and going to app drawer, and also while using Chrome or Twitter. Some other things have got snappy fast too, but the overall feel is quite sluggish. Lockscreen issue persists as well despite the new update logs mentioning that the issue has been resolved. Have tried wiping cache partition and disabling Ram Booster. No improvement. Also, stock camera doesn't allow to shoot in 720p now and Bokeh mode has been removed too. Really disappointed. If an update isn't ready, why push it down to users at first place. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 02 Jun 2020 11:33 AM PDT Turned my shower on with hot water to remove some dust particles (it's a thing), used alcohol based screen swipes and microfiber cloth to clean the screen, put the protector on as gently as possible, used a card to remove bubbles. Failed. I then put on my halloween surgeon costume, asked my girlfriend to assist me in the operation and proceeded again, more gentle than I've ever been. Failed. It also occurred to me when launching the play store. I am using OnePlus navigation gestures so it's weird when the homebar popups up after I swipe up to go home. Has anyone experienced this? After getting everything set up I began to notice I was not getting any text messages, I am able to send messages, place calls, and use LTE. However texts just don't come through. I put my Verizon Sim card in from my last phone, the Sim card is almost 4 years old, not sure if any of that matters just wanted to point it out. Also based in the United States if that that matters. | OP 7t Pro 5g McLaren cellular signal & messaging issues Posted: 02 Jun 2020 08:12 PM PDT Tried searching for this but couldn't find anything that helped. I have the McLaren 5g on T mobile, bought it from the TMobile store. I've been having issues when trying to send text messages and with my chat feature. It almost always says I have full or near full bars at home and I tend to get a 5G signal here as well. But when I go to send a text it will often take forever to send, or it'll fail and I'll have to hit to resend it multiple times or I'll have to turn it on airplane mode and then back to normal. This is not an issue I had with the Samsung Galaxy S10 so it's not signal strength in my area. Was wondering if anyone knows of a setting to change or other advice on this? Also my chat (rcs) services don't always work right like they did on my Galaxy. There's some people I'll get read receipts from and typing notifications, but others like my roommate (also on TMobile with a Galaxy) only ever says delivered. He says the chat features are all working on our conversation on his side. I get sporadic read receipts. But not often or consistent. I am using the preinstalled messaging app. I tried downloading Google messages however it ended up telling me that my phone did not have rcs capability, which I know isn't true. | Posted: 02 Jun 2020 03:30 PM PDT I have a op3 and it boots, but after about 10 seconds it reboots to recover. It's completely stock, allow oem is not allowed. I've tried all the wipe options in the stock recovery. I've tried msm many times. I've tried to fix it with sideloading latest post, but it didn't fix it I've been looking if there's a way to enable oem unlock, but did not find any way. Does anyone know if there's a way to force/hack the oem so that I can try it with custom firmware. I suspect the motherboard is broken. But maybey someone knows what's up. I'm really interested in the OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro, but I'm wondering if there might be a sale in the near future (Father's Day or somesuch) that would make the splurge a bit easier to justify. Anyone have any idea whether such a thing is likely? I just don't know OnePlus that well ... if they never discount their new products until they've been out a year or so, that'd be useful to know.
