Yesterday, my little niece made an accidental $99 purchase in Cooking Dash, a mobile game. I immediately requested a refund from Google Play, and it was approved on the spot. My money has been refunded in full to my bank account, but the gold is still showing in the app.

    Games with genuine progression?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 05:24 PM PDT

    Heya

Getting sick of mobile games where all progression is either none existent unless you buy microtransactions, or so unbearably drawn out in order to force you to pay to have any sort of accomplishment.

Does anyone know of any games which have a genuine progression that is achievable through gameplay without making you want to pull out your eyes?

E.G Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery makes all special events unnecessarily long and energy intensive that I'm convinced it's impossible to unlock everything without paying unless you don't miss a beat and set alarms for when your energy is back so you can instantly use it again. Fuck that game.

Just bought don't starve, Terraria, etc.... Recommendation?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:12 PM PDT

I'm going on a mobile game spending spree because my laptop broke (rip) so far I have Don't Starve (including shipwrecked), Balder's Gate, Terraria, and Lucid Dreams... I'm looking for good games for me to mindlessly zone out to and be able to switch between easily. I have ADHD and schizoaffective so I have a hard time focusing! Sos!

I'm interested in a decent city or village builder (think Kingdom? But without monsters?) I also enjoy good horror! Or perhaps something else in the Klei Entertainment genre?

    Any help is appreciated thanks!

    Games similar to Battle Bay?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 01:30 PM PDT

For those not familiar, Battle Bay is a 5v5 shooter game using ships with different attributes. You can equip it with different weapons and gear of your choice. The game relies on skill and team cooperation (okay, equipment too!) to win.

Unfortunately, Rovio has left the game to sink on it's own and hasn't updated it for a long time. There are still loyal fans of the game but the queue time is taking up so much time it's no longer worth coming back.

It's a space tower defense game, you land towers carefully or it would reduce towers health, the art style is line art or pixel art. Thanks in advance.

Why do some modern Android games require 5.0+ instead of 4.2/4.4+?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 04:45 PM PDT

Asking because all of my Android handsets (I have about more than 10-20+) that run 5.0+ either barely functions or has technical limitations, and only most of my Android handsets running 4.2 and older work completely fine. I do acknowledge that some games require 7.0+ because it added support of Vulkan, which is probably the reason why the new versions of War Drum Studios' Android ports of GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas and Max Payne (I'm not sure if Max Payne is removed from App Store) require 7.0+. But I don't know why some modern games require 5.0+, even though I don't understand the reason why it is. Why?

Looking for gooda games meeting the following criteria

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 04:19 PM PDT

My friend and I were pretty into World of Tanks Blitz, but with the last update they suddenly removed controller support and I don't feel like relearning how to play the game with crap touch controls. We're having a tough time finding something else to play. Looking for the following:

-Online multiplayer so we can play together

    -Wireless controller support

-can be played on a Windows Surface Pro

-Actually good, not just moneymaking schemes

-Some semblance of realism... I'm flexible on genre but please no games that are overt LOTR-type fantasy or cartoon soldiers dancing around.. I can't get into that shit. I love sims of all types, more realistic the better..

    Any ideas?

    [Request] Business Management Game

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:05 AM PDT

Looking for any premium games that fit in the genre with good replayability. I've played Fizz Brewery, Kairosoft games, and anything I can find that is similar. I'd even consider non-premium as long as it's not inundated with ads.

Any recommendations would be super great.
