Oneplus 7 pro took a dive into the pool Posted: 31 May 2020 03:57 PM PDT I dropped it in the deep end of my pool, about 10'. Was able to fish it out rather quickly. Was still working when I pulled it out, assumed it was fine so I let it run for a few hours. But when I was at the gym, it started freaking out. The power button seemed to be shorting and so the phone was constantly going on and off. I took out the sim card port and found water. Eventually opted to break the rubber seal on the back and opened the phone to find it waterlogged. I dried it out best I could and disassembled it completely, placing the boards into a container of rice. After a few days of seeing water condense in the container, I finally put it back together and now it works fine. Impressed it still works seeing as how it was filled with water at one point. The microphone doesn't pick up my voice during speaker mode in phonecall, but aside from that, still works fine. Just disappointed I had to break the seal on the back to get it open. This happened back in late January Want the 8pro, but since this one still works, might as well keep using it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 May 2020 08:53 AM PDT I remember reading about a planned feature on the community app that would only charge your phone to 80% over the night and charge the last 20% right as you wake up to extend the life of the battery. The post said it would come in the next update, but I've just updated my 7t pro, and it's nowhere to be seen. Did they scrap the feature? Did I misread that it would come in the next update? Is it just not coming to my region? Anyone know what's going on? EDIT: Sadly, it looks like they removed the feature for the stable release. Let's hope it comes back in the next update. Posted: 31 May 2020 06:11 PM PDT Yeah, I was either sleeping or watching YouTube at 720p for the entire day today. Gonna be honest - the last couple of hours I was just aiming at squeezing as much SOT as I can, lmao. https://imgur.com/a/egRFltP P.S. OnePlus 7 Pro [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 May 2020 02:23 PM PDT Hey, I currently have a 7 pro and I'm finally deciding to get some wireless headphones/earbuds. I was waiting for OnePlus to drop their version of airpods but it's been a few months with nothing and I do need something soon. Just wondering what ppl are currently using with their phones and what they'd recommend. Cheers [link] [comments] |

Is there a solution? Here is the Youtube video. You'll notice the video jitters/shakes every couple of seconds, it always does this, this is not the first time: [link] [comments] |

Switching from India OOS to European OOS Posted: 31 May 2020 07:20 PM PDT I am wondering if it's possible to switch from the International OOS version 10.3.3.GM57AA to the EU OOS version 10.0.6? I have a GM1900 Model. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 May 2020 09:18 AM PDT Does the OnePlus 8 pro have a transparent nav bar? Cause I saw a video on it on YouTube and it did. Cause I have a 7 pro and I would love this feature. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 May 2020 09:18 AM PDT Any way they (OnePlus or a Modder) can make that little light that goes around the front camera when you turn the screen on to be used as a notification light? [link] [comments] |
About to join the family - Couple of questions Posted: 31 May 2020 03:40 PM PDT So, I'm coming from an iPhone X and after a decade, I'm looking for a change, and I'm thinking about a OnePlus 7 Pro. Here are my questions:
Thank you SO much for your help in advance and for your patience. Can't wait to join the fam :) [link] [comments] |
Anyone refraining from buying oneplus because it's Chinese and you want to boycott Chinese products? Posted: 31 May 2020 08:49 PM PDT Not a political post, but this is my situation. China has created a big disturbance in my country and continues to do so. We are all being educated about how China is on its way to dominate countries economically and the only way to stop it by boycotting Chinese goods. So my question is, is anyone else feeling the same? I love Oneplus but I'm hesitant to buy. The only other alternative is Samsung S20 but it sucks due to exynos. [link] [comments] |
OP7P OB14 Emergency Alert keeps going off. Posted: 31 May 2020 04:43 PM PDT |
One plus launch pad??? Missing square Posted: 31 May 2020 08:03 PM PDT Hi, I just did a factory reset on my one plus 7 pro and the little square at the bottom isn't there. I don't know how to get the apps to tile so I can close them. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Kind of a dumb post but, don't use the OP gallery editor Posted: 31 May 2020 01:24 AM PDT I was transfering photos to my laptop and i noticed that almost all the images were about 3-5 mb files and 6-7 photos were about 100-400 kb. I thought maybe the original wasn't downloaded from the cloud or something else but what actually happened was that i used the edit in gallery to crop the sides a little bit and the editor compressed the image by a lot. Edit: the photos which i checked were from December, 2019. I checked again and the problem no longer exists. Side note: If you still see lo res photos in your gallery then make sure the optimise storage is off under cloud storage-gallery settings. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 May 2020 07:37 PM PDT So I don't know when, but I just noticed that my back glass has cracked on my OnePlus 7T. I unfortunately don't have a backup phone to lean on to send it in for repair. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience replacing this panel and could maybe offer any tips? I plan on using this kit from Amazon. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Fix Oneplus 7T weak LTE or no signal issue Posted: 31 May 2020 05:51 AM PDT I had the the issue with my tmobile oneplus 7t where I could not connect to LTE and had random reconnects/ signal drops. Fixed it by dialing *#*#4636#*#* then phone information -> then selecting under preferred network type: "GMS/WCDMA/LTE (PRL)". The default that it was set to that was causing me issues was "LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA" hope this helps. I did not change the default APN. I did try messing with APNs but to no avail. Posted: 31 May 2020 06:48 PM PDT I set up my voicemail a while back, and I want to change it. Is there a way of doing this? I haven't seen anything about how to do it online, and there doesn't seem to be an option in the phone app, or when I select the voicemail options by holding "1". [link] [comments] |
Is there a way I can use Oxygen Updater on T-Mobile? Posted: 31 May 2020 06:18 PM PDT |
Android Auto on OxygenOS 10.0.0 on OnePlus 5 Posted: 31 May 2020 12:00 PM PDT Experiencing issues with Android Auto since I took the OxygenOS 10.0.0 update. HeadUnit: Pioneer AVH-2330NEX v8.37 Firmware Cable: Anker Powerline series Android Auto Version: 5.3.501644-release Description of problem: Items on the touch screen in AA interface become non responsive after a few minutes of being connected. You can see the little hi t that shows you pressed something, but it doesn't do anything. For example, touching the home button shows you press it but nothing hapoens., same with Play/Pause. In some cases on Google Maps, it will show the map and show the car not moving, and any interaction with the interface does not work. Recreate: connect phone to head unit. it will work for a few minutes and then become non responsive. Other notes: Android Auto was working fine on the previous version of OxygenOS (9) and this all started immediately after the upgrade. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 May 2020 05:36 PM PDT So uh. Like the title says. My Wifi keeps turning itself on. Didn't see anywhere in settings to tell it to knock it the fuck off. Thought I was going crazy at first since it kept happening at home. But I just had it happen at a grocery store too. T-Mobile Variant 7 Pro. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 8 owners, how do you feel about your new phone? Posted: 31 May 2020 05:18 PM PDT I am a current OnePlus 6 owner who was going to upgrade this year to the OnePlus 8 (non-pro) because my microphone broke but I'm considering skipping it to look at other phones cause it doesn't have a flat screen. My OnePlus 6 already feels perfect for the things I use it for so if I have to make compromises to upgrade, it seems like it would be more of a sidegrade, but maybe I'm being too critical. Perhaps some of you OnePlus 8 owners can share your experiences and give me an idea of what it's like upgrading to this device. How has your new OnePlus 8 been compared to your last device? Why OnePlus taking Apple's path? Posted: 31 May 2020 05:11 PM PDT Long term OnePlus user and loved how they have always delivered low price devices with superb hardware. But in last few releases the price is continuously going up and now OnePlus 8pro price is $900. I left Apple long back and moved to OnePlus just because this reason. Pretty disappointed as OnePlus is no longer following their company principle "NEVER SETTLE". What you all think? [link] [comments] |

I've also tried downloading the newest ROM from oneplus and using local option, no go. any help appreciated. [link] [comments] |
