    Enable VoLTE and VoWifi on Xiaomi handsets

    I have recently had trouble making outbound calls due to network congestion. I guess all the people working from home have overloaded my neighbourhood's cell tower. It was suggested by a friend that I check to see if VoLTE and VoWifi were enabled. Maybe I'm way out of touch, but I had no idea my Mix 2 (global) was capable of VoLTE or VoWifi. The options simply don't exist in settings. But they can be unlocked.

    To unlock VoLTE: open your phone app and dial *#*#86583#*#*
    To unlock VoWifi: open your phone app and dial *#*#869434#*#*

    Now go into Settings > Sim Cards & Mobile Networks. You will see an option called "VoLTE enabled". Tap the switch to enable it. Scroll down further and you will see another option called "Make calls using Wi-Fi". Tap the switch to enable it. You can then choose whether the phone should prefer network or wifi right below.

    This will depend on your provider supporting these options. And you could burn through data if they charge you for that on VoLTE calls.

    I have no idea whether these steps work for all Xiaomi handsets, but I suspect it works for anything on MIUI11.

    Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 doesn't start

    So, I wanted to root my phone. To do that I unlocked the bootloader using the Mi account. After that I downloaded a bunch of files that the tutorials talked about: TWRP, Magisk, etc. When I went to the fastboot menu, I tried to install the files and reboot the phone, and since then the phone keeps booting endlessly. How can I factory reset my phone now? I have already tried everything, but the phone is still on that screen.

    What should I buy at this point?

    I currently have a Mi6 with gcam and I'm fairly satisfied with it. My only complain is that it looks dated, had to root to get gcam due to Android 10 not being available for this device and there's no video stabilization.

    I was hoping to upgrade to a Mi10 Pro assuming it came out at 800€ and would be on sale for 600€ or so at some point in the summer but we all know how that went.

    So, what should I do? Wait to see how far prices drop? Buy a Mi9T while it's still available? Wait for the Mi10T? Any other option (open to other brands)?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Is it possible to make status bar transparent?

    Have you noticed that on Home screen or on apps for example like Google Maps, that the status bar is not shown and the display continues till the end of the screen?

    I want to do this on all apps. Anybody knows how?

    Mi Purifier 2S PCB Replacement

    Will changing the T3.15A 250V fuse on the PCS work?

    Airdots connecting to pc but not showing up as sound output option

    Basically the title, I bought a new pair of airdots, tried them with my A2 and worked perfectly. However, after I tried to connect them to my pc, although I was able to pair them, they didnt show up as a sound output option. Any help would be much appreciated

    Long-term xiaomi device users what can you tell me about their durability

    Hello! I'm thinking of buying a Mi 9T. I'm a broke college student so i expect to use the device atleast for 3 years. I've been using mi a2 for about a year now but it already crashes sometimes even after factory resetting it. Also has battery issues. So I'm reluctant to go to another xiaomi phone. I'd love to hear about your opinion about the durability of your xiaomi device. Thank you!

    Is getting Xiaomi phone even worth it?

    I know this sub is probably biased towards this question but I think I should ask here since a lot of you use Xiaomi phone. Every time I visit this sub it's full of bug reports and complaints towards something not working on their Xiaomi phone. Is it really worth getting Xiaomi phone? Maybe it's cheap for a reason, should I spend a bit more and get something from Motorola or is Xiaomi okay?

    I'm not biased towards any brand and am open to trying anything new, but one thing I hate is when I have issues with my phone. I'm having Nokia 5 for 2 and a half years now and while it's not that great phone I still love it because I had no issues with it.

    I hope you'll be honest I don't want to cause any fight or rage, I would love to try Xiaomi but if software and hardware problems is something I'm going to face I would rather spend some extra money and buy a different brand. Currently I'm eyeing Redmi Note 8

    Edit: something I probably should've mentioned. I'm not interested in installing any ROMs on my phone. Maybe ROMs are causing problems I'm seeing from other people I don't know.

    Edit 2: thank you people for convincing me that Xiaomi is fine after all. I'm buying Redmi Note 8 as soon as this chaos ends.

    New update broken WiFi

    Ever since I updated my phone to MIUI 11.0.3 my redmi note 8 won't stay connected to my BT wifi even when the speed is excellent and there are no hitches on my other devices.

    F1, playstore keeps crashing

    after 11.0.6.0 my playsrote keeps crashing i cant update my apps, tried forced close then clear data+cache, same i i even tried downloading latest playstore apk, something 19.5.13 bur same problem, im really frustrated, i used to do some android troubleshooting back in the ICS JB days now im a basic user, so i cant understand the issue, any help would be appreciated,

    I purchased the Redmi k20 pro, bought Chinese (MI) version instead of global for use in Ireland. Cash for anyone who can change the software to the version I should have bought originally. I made a big mistake I know.. If there's any fixing of the problem I'd be forever grateful.
