Posted: 29 Apr 2020 02:33 PM PDT I know this doesn't bother 99.9% of the people but one more reason why I don't buy carrier branded phones. Thank god atleast OnePlus provides us the option to buy non carrier unbranded phones directly from them for those who care. [link] [comments] |
PSA: Don't pay for the €9,99 "fast shipping" Posted: 29 Apr 2020 04:12 AM PDT Ordered my OP8 on monday night with free shipping and I was mentaly prepared to get it next week. Just got it today. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 8 pro and OnePlus on sale on Amazon. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:42 PM PDT |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:13 PM PDT My OP7Pro hasn't been receiving some calls lately. I've had multiple people Facebook me to tell me they tried calling, but my device doesn't even have missed calls. Anyone else having this problem? [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 8 Pro already sold on on US website? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 04:31 AM PDT The sale is supposed to begin at 12:00 PM, Apr 29th. But when I clicked into the store page and it appears that all 8 pro models have been sold out already? [link] [comments] |
Oneplus Wireless Z vs Oneplus Bullets (type C) Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:27 PM PDT Someone who has both, can you do a comparison in terms of sound quality? I really enjoy the Bullets, and I am interested in the Wireless Z, but only if the sound quality is at least as good. Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] |
Can/ Should I still buy a OnePlus 7 Pro? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:47 PM PDT Long story short, I'm a techie and always admired OnePlus's phones, but never owned one. My current daily driver is a Google Pixel 2 XL with a dying screen (my own fault). I don't really care for the 7t and the 8 and 8 pro cannot overcome my frugal sensibilities. With that being said, I love pretty much everything about the 7 pro. Unfortunately, the only place that I can see that still sells it is T-Mobile. Their online is sold out, but I can buy it from a local store. Only thing is, due to T-Mobile's policies, I'd have to activate it through them and have it on them for around 40 days, so on top of the cost of the phone, there would be that cost and waiting, etc. Is it still worth it to do that? Are there any other options on the market around a similar price point that would be good options to check out? I don't need the latest and greatest, just something sweet that will last me for a few years. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:45 PM PDT So I see that the one plus 8 pro preorder on amazon shows "with Alexa Built-in" does anyone know what this means? is this a different version of the phone from the one on the official website? I am new to android, switching from an iPhone and to be honest this whole release schedule has been absolutely horrible, missed the past two drops... with the most recent one the time kept changing and I ended up missing it. Can I expect the OnePlus 7T's price to drop more in Australia? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:35 PM PDT https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/oneplus-7t-8gb-ram-128gb-glacier-blue-global-model-oneplus/ Cheapest 7T I can find is $889 (besides grey market which I'm trying to avoid). https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/oneplus-8-8gb-ram-128gb-onyx-black-global-model-oneplus/ Compared to the OnePlus 8 for $200 more at $1099. I don't see how the 7T is only $200 less than the 8. Should I expect the price to drop more or just go with the 8? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 03:01 PM PDT Hey there people. I've been using my 8 pro for about a week now and i noticed a couple of things. I don't know if i'm just seeing things but when consuming HDR content on youtube and netflix (especially ozark) it seems like dark scenes have some serious colour banding and crushed blacks. almost makes it unwatchable. Also when my screen is on very low brightness it seems very saturated and hazy with some kind of green tint. But it's very faint and not localised. Especially on grey backgrounds. My old 3t seems to have wayyy "darker" grey. Has anyone else had these issues? Should i return my device to get it fixed or replaced? Or is it a software issue? Maybe image compression is just the issue. For reference, don't know if screenshots work. https://i.imgur.com/mYFxzYi.jpg [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 02:26 PM PDT With the 7T, I'm new to OnePlus. I'm curious about their update track record; specifically regarding major updates, how long after does OP update after Google releases a new major update? [link] [comments] |
Tip: double-tap screen to turn off torch. Works on homescreen or lockscreen. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:07 PM PDT I use the screen off gesture Draw V to switch on but I just discovered on my 5t a double-tap is quicker to switch off. Edit: you'll need double-tap to sleep/wake already switched on. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:01 PM PDT I just dropped my op7 pro in the toilet, took it out, washed it briefly and then dried it with some toilet paper. Everything seems to be working. Should i be worried? [link] [comments] |
Unable to change/access Google Assistant settings at all. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 04:51 PM PDT Hello! I recently have run into an issue where changing any type of Google Assistant setting on my OnePlus 7 Pro is impossible. I go into Settings, I search for example "Voice Match". I then will tap "Voice Match" but instead of being directed to the page to follow through with the setting, it flashes white. It will flash white every single time I press to enter into the "Voice Match" settings. It does this with every setting with Google Assistant below the title of the setting I am tapping; Your Phone, Voice Match, etc. I have tried going through other routes to change these settings, like the Google Home app for example. Though it does not flash white, it instead engages a prompt stating "Problem while connecting, check your connection and try again." I narrowed it down to being the device itself as my girlfriends phone is able to access the same settings I am having issues with. I have gone as far to deleting my Google account off the device and re-signing in with absolutely no change in the behaviour of what I listed above. Hope someone has some what of an inclination as to what I am dealing with as it is insanely frustrating! Thank you. [link] [comments] |

OnePlus 5, Gaming mode missing after Android 10 update Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:00 PM PDT Hello guys, I recently updated to the new beta version of Android 10 that was released to the OP 5 and OP5T couple of days back. I just realised that the gaming mode has been missing. Any reason why? [link] [comments] |
Will the 7T ever be restocked (Canada)? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 08:44 AM PDT With the new 8 series being made available as of today, what has the history been with OP stocking preview generations on their site by country? Have I missed my chance to upgrade from a OP3 at a reasonable price? [link] [comments] |
bullets wireless 2 magnets broken Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:26 PM PDT so, my bullets wireless 2 won't turn on when I release the magnets, I later found that one of the magnets has a crack in it. is there any other way to turn them on beside using the magnets? thanks in advance :) [link] [comments] |
Any info about 8GB/128GB versions of the regular 8? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 09:23 AM PDT On the OnePlus website, the marketing materials for the 8 non-pro say that it's available in 8GB / 128GB & 12GB / 256GB versions, but I only see the 12GB option. Also, only colors showing are Interstellar glow & Glacial green options. No option for black. [link] [comments] |
OP5 - the phone that won't die Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:06 AM PDT Just over two years ago, my wife completley broke the screen on her OP5. dropped from a height, the screen cracked and went black, and has never turned on since. i don't know why, but for some reason i put it in the "old tech crap" cupboard and forgot all about it. until last week, when i needed a webcam to make zoom calls from my desktop pc. I had the smart idea that i could repurpose an old phone into a webcam via USB somehow. so i charged up the broken OP5. Big mistake. the screen obviously still doesn't work, but the battery is just fine! we are now 7 days in, and all of my wife's alarms just keep going off. i've given up turning it off, as the alarms seem to reboot it anyway (?) and i'm now stuck, a week in, waiting for the battery to run down, which it just refuses to do. also, i can't get it to work as a webcam either. ps. i also charged up my old OP1. that's still going too. i know we like to moan about OP, but some of those old phones were (and still are) absolute beasts. i could ptobably still use the OP1 if my current one broke. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 09:33 AM PDT I was one of the lucky ones of getting the phone last night, they had a longer run thankfully. I am seeing to be getting it this Friday. If I have any screen issues I will make another post. Props to OnePlus for having fast shipping. Notice I did pay the $9.99 dollars. Definitely worth it hopefully I will get the phone with a perfect screen. [link] [comments] |
Bought one plus 8 pro on the 22nd . Finally saw the image problems . Posted: 29 Apr 2020 08:02 PM PDT http://imgur.com/gallery/JXmnCtP I bought the product and thought I had a good screen . It didn't pop as much as my note 9. I realize now that I am not that lucky and my screen has the same issues plaguing alot of users . I noticed a green uniform tint to Google chrome gray early on . I thought I did the grey test when I got it and didn't see anything abnormal . I uploaded a picture of green tint on a gray background at low lightness that I did today . It looks awful . I noticed a user complaining about hdr content on Netflix and black crushing on it . I tried with some dark scenes from the Witcher and saw it . The screen can look great alot of time and still be flawed. I have decided to request an RMA. My Samsung note 9 doesn't have these issues and any phone I upgrade too should be better . What the hell happened with OnePlus? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:49 PM PDT With the 8 series they looked at the price and said screw it. 700 and 900€? Why!? I hope it doesn't sell well só they go back to the old pricing. [link] [comments] |
