| My OnePlus 7 almost died during night again! Posted: 31 Mar 2020 02:27 AM PDT Hi, few months ago I discussed a problem where my OP7 suddenly died during the night - I turned it off at night and in the morning I couldnt turn it on + it lost about 40% battery. It was long time ago, but today it happened again! Here is a picture to prove my battery loss when turned off. You can see the chart at the end where it lost about 30%. In addition, when I tried to boot my phone up in the morning, it took abnormaly longer than usual (about a minute). I havent seen anyone with the same issue, but can at least anyone help me with this? Im afraid that it could occur again when I will have my alarm set up. | Posted: 31 Mar 2020 07:03 PM PDT Hello, I have a dying 3T that I've loved for the better part of 4 years now, and its finally giving out. I was considering getting a used phone from the 6 generation, probably not the 6T because I love having a headphone jack and a notification light, along with a physical fingerprint sensor. My main questions for anyone with experience with these phones are: 1) Can I expect one of these to last me another couple of years, assuming I keep it well maintained? 2) How does watching 1080p content work on these phones? Does it come out to 16x9 or will I get some weird black bars? I will probably disable the notch if I get a 6, unless it automatically blacks it out when watching movies. 3) How slow is the in-screen fingerprint sensor? 4) Is there any real advantage with the 6T? I've noticed that my 7pro is awfully slow at bring email notifications to my attention. A 4 year old phone has no issues but this has been a constant and continuing issue.. Not to mention the battery optimization is still not great. I barely get 4 hrs of SOT and recently I've noticed even a dip in battery life. Used to be able to get 30 to 35 hrs of battery (though really only like 5 hrs of SOT) but now even if I barely use the phone, I'll only get like 20 hours... Any solutions and please do not recommend system cache as I've tried that a number of times with really no impact. It also bugs me that I cannot utilize any features of the phone without having to sacrifice battery life. Ambient display is one where I realized it was a huge battery eater. Also, I cannot use fb, instagram or snap chat as they will just murder the battery as well. I guess, I'm disappointed in the phone. I was planning on making this atleast a 3 year phone but I think after just a year I will try and sell and move to Samsung or Apple again (which I used to be extremely hard on but their recent phones have incredible battery optimization). | Posted: 31 Mar 2020 11:07 AM PDT Just an out loud rant, why is the camera software so bad on OnePlus. I can take the same shot in great lighting (favours OnePlus) with stock then gcam and the gcam has so much more detail it's crazy. It's clearly a software issue which makes me think do OnePlus just prefer a softer image in general. Doesn't make a lot of sense though if the majority of your consumers prefer shots off of pixels and iphones. Kind of wish I got a pixel and didn't listen to the initial complaints about battery life :( [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 31 Mar 2020 06:04 PM PDT It's weird but I can see on my phone the 3 top right discord icons of the android app on literally everywhere on my phone(system-wide) outside of discord, it's like if those 3 icons are like ingrained in the screen there even outside of the discord app, u can see the icons outside the discord app with a very low opacity. I wish I could show a picture of it but I don't have another phone with a decent camera to show it off clearly because of the low opacity of the shadow icons themselves. Yes I know where it's located and at midnight I can still read stuff on low brightness so I would still know where it is even if it wasn't on 10000nits. Why can't it be the same brightness as the screen until we place our finger? I've written on the community app about this as a suggestion but only got like 3 likes. | Posted: 31 Mar 2020 10:40 AM PDT Good day gents, I have OP7Pro and with tons of issues in the USB port (I think?) however, My phone refuses to connect to my laptop with most cables, I can barely find a cable that connect, the rest will only charge and no (including the one in box), it is not a driver issue, my GS8 and Huawei P30 are working fine with every cable. even when I connect a mouse, it won't connect to my phone, the Wrap charge reaches to 2500for a minute or so then drop to 990 doesn't go any faster, while my Huawei P30 and USB PD chargers charge 1500 - 2500. I really am not sure what's going on with my phone, I installed Lineage OS but nothing changed, reinstalled original OS and still nothing changed ;-; Both my GS8 and P30 connect to my Android Auto dongle but not my OnePlus ;-;-; [link] [comments]  | ||

Is there anything else I can do to stop this? (Updated to the latest software update). Week ago I can run up to 7-8hrs of SoT now I've got 4-5hrs only, Google Play Services consuming around 30% of my battery life the rest just less than 10% in the battery settings. [link] [comments]  |
