| Just ordered a OnePlus 7T Pro! Posted: 27 Feb 2020 01:03 PM PST Only just bought it full price from the OnePlus website and I am so hyped to get it! Looked into the OnePlus 8 and it looked expensive and unnecessary at the moment and I love the gimmick of the pop-up camera and it's a shame that they're supposedly not putting that on the newer model. I also ordered a case and a well-needed screen protector online as I scratched up my old Samsung S9 which felt slow and the display was annoying to look at because of the scratches. (and it didn't look cheap to replace the screen and battery too), so I was like heck it and bought a new phone as an early birthday treat for myself. Anyway, just thought I'd share my joy with everyone, and have a great day/night. I switched from an iPhone 6s to a OnePlus 5t two years ago, it's still the best phone I've ever had. I've been thinking about upgrading but I see the OnePlus phones are way too big for my pockets (am female) and hands. I would love to see the great OnePlus characteristics but on a smaller scale like the size of the Pixel 3a. Something that I can comfortably hold and put in my pocket. I know the 6 still has a 3.5 jack, but other than that I'm struggling to find a difference. Can people help me understand the real world differences? Which has a better real world battery life? | Dropped my OnePlus 7T 50FT!!! *Major Facepalm* Posted: 27 Feb 2020 08:10 AM PST So, I had my OnePlus 7T for literally a week and I went out hiking... The hike was great and I got to capture some beautiful pictures that I wanted to upload here, but shit hit the fan quick lmao. I got to this ledge about halfway through the hike (the point I wanted to get too) and the ledge was roughly 50FT and no-way to get down to the bottom (too dangerous). I took my phone out and wanted to snap a quick picture of the drop since there was a little stream of water down at the bottom that looked beautiful... well I was stupid and did not wipe the sweat off my hands and the phone slipped............... 50FT............ *facepalm* I wanted to take my chances and get down there but my instincts told me I should not so I just moved on - It ruined the hike though. Fast forward two days (today) and I just ordered my new OnePlus 7T AGAIN since I assume you can't replace a phone if you don't have a phone... plus it's my fault so I should pay for it anyway. It will be arriving on March 3'rd (paid for shipping) and well... wish me luck I do not drop my phone and kill this one too LMAO. NOTE: Yes I know I am stupid... I know that lmao. When I take pictures of someone in portrait mode, it seems like the person(object) has been sticked above background. Object does not properly dissolve with background. | Google pay lock screen order of actions Posted: 27 Feb 2020 03:08 PM PST Hey everyone, I have a question about Google pay order of actions. It has been slightly annoying and I was wondering if there's a fix for this. So, I have NFC enabled and I like paying with my phone. But every time I want to pay it asks me first to get my phone near the terminal, then the transaction is failed and I have to do the fingerprint or pattern unlock, and then I have to get my phone near the terminal again in order for transaction to go through. Is there a way to setup that I use my fingerprint /pattern unlock prior to paying and then getting my phone near the terminal instead of having to do it twice. It seems like in order to trigger the unlock of the Google pay you have to try to pay and fail. Which makes no sense. So i maybe have some setup done wrong? Thanks everyone. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 27 Feb 2020 06:31 PM PST Hey, Anyone else have a smartwatch connected to your OP and maybe once a day it randomly disconnects for no reason then it goes back to normal? This usually happens when I turn on WiFi or even at random times, my watch says it's in standalone mode when my BT is on and I get a couple of notifications from the Gear plug in saying it's searching and connecting to my S3. This is really annoying especially for a new 7T with 8GB of ram, meanwhile friends with iPhones and Apple watched have 0 connection issues. Is this a OnePlus issue or Samsung Gear app issue? | OnePlus 7T randomly started missing texts Posted: 27 Feb 2020 12:59 PM PST Hello! Over the past few weeks my 7T has been missing a majority of the texts I should be receiving. I've swapped to a new SIM card without any luck and contacted AT&T to see if they could do anything on their end and haven't had any success yet. I decided to put my SIM in my old 3T and so far the problem has been fixed. If anybody has any ideas as to what the problem could be so I could get back to using my 7T I would love to hear them. I noticed the Pixel had a few nice software features and I was hoping there's some way to get them on this phone too. Specifically, having weather and digital clock on the lock screen, and passively identifying music. Less important, but curious, I also noticed the "migrate from old phone" tool lacks the option to copy over personal files (photos, music, etc). The Pixel had that option. What's up with that? The earphones work fine, I tried using them on my brother's phone ( One Plus 7 Pro) and have used them on my laptop too. If someone can answer the following questions I would really appreciate it. 1) Will I be able, if needed, to remove root and re-lock my bootloader without losing data? 2) Is there anything else I'll be missing except HD Netflix playback? 3) How do OTA updates work?
