    Hiya

    I recently made a post asking about QC 4.0 27w chargers in the UK, the concensus was that a 27w QC 4.0 charger would quick charge the Mi 9t Pro at its full potential, Power Delivery chargers would not.

    So, with this in mind i bought the only available 27w QC4.0 charger in the UK which is made by Belkin and wasn't cheap.

    I plugged the phone in and yeah, it defo seems to charge pretty quick BUT I don't see the "charge turbo" icon which is meant to appear when charging at the full 27w speeds.

    Am i missing something there?

    Broken Screen on Mi Mix 3- Cannot see anything on screen at all. What are my options for external viewing, or remote access considering there is nothing set up already for this?

    ie. a native usb-c ->> HDMI out, android adb tools etc.?

    The phone still works and pushbullet mirrors notifications so thats something. Maybe i could send a command to open/install something then connect to it? I have airdroid on there, but it doesnt seem to be auto starting, so fat chance of me blindly managing that?

    I had an issue where my Mi 9t would randomly power itself off even at almost full battery, so I factory reset it. I so far haven't had that issue at all, but since then, I've only received about 10% of all of the calls and messages that have been sent to me. I finally turned on VoLTE, at which point ALL of my messages came through at once, but I'm not sure that the issue is fixed and would assume that it will return as soon as I'm not on wifi. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to resolve it?

    How I fixed the notification issue on Mi Mix 2s

    I started having issues with notifications on my Mi Mix 2s about 6 months ago, when I stopped receiving notifications from most apps that I had installed (both my banking apps, football score apps, etc), but I would still receive from some (Facebook, Facebook Messenger)

    I followed countless guides that recommended removing the battery optimisations, allowing notifications on the lock screen, autostart, and other measures, but none of them worked. With this post, I guide you through the steps I took the resolve the issue and, hopefully, this will fix the issue for you.

    • Identifying the issue: I realised that it was not just a Settings issue when I installed an application called Push Notification Tester, which does exactly what it says - tests if your phone can receive notifications. When running the app, my Mi Mix would fail on the third step: Registering for push notifications.
    • Debugging: For debugging, I used Android Studio's Logcat tool to monitor the logs of what is happening on the phone, while connected to my laptop with Developer Options and USB debugging ON. To mimic the behaviour, fortunately, the football live scores app that I use, FotMob, has a test notification feature, that always fails to publish notification. Upon sending a test notification from the app, I got the following log message in Logcat:

    • What (I think) it means: I am not an Android developer and I would really like to know if my suggestion is correct, but (from a few Google searches) my understanding is that my phone is not registered with Google Firebase, which is the notification management service, essentially preventing the phone from receiving notifications. If I am not mistaken, the phone registration with the service happens the first time a user logs in with their Google account.
    • The fix: *I am not sure if all steps are necessary and some variation of them might also work, but here is what fixed it for me*
    1. From a computer, go to Google Account and remove the phone you are having problems with from the device list in Your Devicves
    2. On your phone, Go to Apps -> Manage apps and make sure the system services are shown (from the three dots). Then, clear all data from the following applications: Google, Google Play Services, Google Play Store and Google Services Framework
    3. Reboot your phone
    4. Log in with your Google account and it should be fixed

    Hopefully, this will fix the notification issue for you. Let me know if it worked! Also, if you happen to know more about the PHONE_REGISTRATION_ERROR, please do let me know!

    HELP My Xiaomi Redmi Airdots calls someone when I double click the buttom

    Hi, I got the airdots like 3 weeks ago and it hasn't been working like I was expecting it to work because it is supposed to open the google assistant when I double click the general button but instead it calls a contact of mine. I've tried deleting the contact but it stills calls him?? I don't even have him in favorites or anything and I don't know why it calls especially him and why it even calls people... Please help me because I don't want to disturb him anymore with my random phonecalls!! (Not that important put if you want to read and help it will be cool too: it also doesn't sound that good, especially the left one, it makes a static sound, idk if it's normal or if mine has fabric problems!)

    Mi 9T display

    So the top 1/4 of the display looks like it has a different shade of color on low brightness

    And the top right half of the display has different shaded pixels, mostly visible on the reddit app also visible at lower brightness, for example, the whole app is this dark grey and those tens of pixels have an even darker color

    Xiaomi Original Vacuum smart features?

    The first firmware versions of the original xiaomi vacuum didn't had zone cleaning (the thing where you draw squares in the app) nor virtual barriers and no go zones on the app, like the S50 has.

    Does it have those features on new firmware versions? Also, what happens if you pick it up and put it in another room? Does it loose the map?

    Mi CC9 / Mi 9 Lite - Call recording

    I have turned on the call recording but it only records a few seconds of the call and also these are quiet, no sound at all.

    But whenever I make/recieve a call on my car's bluetooth, it records the entire duration of the call with both sounds.

    Can anyone help?

    Mi 9 wifi problem while gaming

    Hello guys, I recently just bought the Xiaomi Mi 9, everything is so good so far.. but I have a problem which is the WiFi connection, for example, while I'm playing game (PUBG) and (COD mobile）my WiFi automatically disconnect and the game won't be able to play for a few seconds as this is very frustrating. Would like to know if there is a way to solve this issue , because I would love to play my games with a very stable internet connection.. the WiFi auto disconnect is killing me.. please help , thank you. I tried using my older phones which were Samsung and Apple, their WiFi connection is very stable and my router has no problem as well..

    [HELP] Problem with Netflix, Unlocked bootloader and solution

    Hey Guys, I need a help here.

    I bought last year an MI 8 Lite and I did the bootloader unclocked and root, I was using the Netflix normaly donwloaded from playstore.

    Recently I sell my Mi8 Lite and I used the Flash Tool to clean all
    but I kept it unlocked and the new owner told me that he can't find Netflix on playstore, I saw in here a lot of same situations and I decided to install again the Stock ROM but this time i'll make sure to mark the option "clean all and lock" I just have afraid because I saw many cases that people are ask about brick their phones and I don't want brick mine.

    So guys, please, as I have to be aware, not to brick the phone?

    PS: When I maked the first Stock ROM installation with Flash Tool I saw a message at the final telling:
    "error: Not Catch Checkpoint (/$fastboot -s .*lock).flash is not done" but the reinstall of the ROM was worked, it's weird.

    Please guys let me know with what I need to have sure before reinstall the Stock ROM and How I can know which's the apropriated Stock ROM for my phone?

    Whatsapp Dual App wont open or send media files.

    When i go into MI File explorer and choose "storage for dual apps"

    I only get 1 folder named:

    qVcDfqXjV2lgKhPV,It22C

    I cant create new folders when i try to delete the folder that is there... i get a "permissions required" prompth which i correctly apply... but for some reason when i go back it still tells me "permisions required" I went to settings/apps and it does indeed have the storage permission... so what gives!?

    Im guessing its lack of permissions to write there... but HOW do i get those permissions??

    Disabling mobile data to certain apps

    Is there going to be a problem with the general day to day function of the phone if I disable mobile data from certain system apps?

    I've turned it off for:

    Calendar, Calendar Storage, Google Calendar Sync, Google Contacts Sync - don't use Google services, have calendar and contacts come via Outlook

    Cloud Backup, Mi Account, Mi Coin, Mi Recycle, ShareMe, Themes, Mi User Guide, Xiaomi Service Framework - I don't have a Mi Account

    GBoard - I use Swiftkey

    Display off without lock/sleep

    Hello! Tried to figure this out couldn't seem to find an answer to my needs.

    So I love playing a certain game on my mobile. At some point it 'autoplays' when I'm afk or asleep. It would be doing its own thing with the display on throughout the night.

    I'd prefer to save power by turning off the screen but disabling Lockscreen and switching off display would still put the device to sleep thereby disconnecting the game which is what I'm trying to avoid.

    Setting the lock 'on' the app would still disconnect it if it goes into the background.

    Is there an existing solution where I'm able to switch the screen off without locking or putting the device to sleep?

    I have a 1st Gen Mi vacuum that has started completely dying without trying to return to the dock. And when I do put it on the dock as soon as the app can connect it usually shows the battery being around 40% (even though it just started charging). It also will no longer show a map in the app, always saying the internet connection is too slow.

    Does anyone have a suggestion of where I can get a replacement battery? And do you think that will fix it?
