Posted: 29 Jan 2020 10:05 PM PST I am wondering if there is an app anyone knows of or a setting that can change the dial tone while pressing in a number to a chosen sound? Thanks. :) (And screen locking sounds, touch sounds, keypress sounds, battery charging sound). [link] [comments] |
Netflix not compatible with Samsung Galaxy S9+ Posted: 29 Jan 2020 08:38 AM PST Hi, I unfortunately had my Samsung S9+ stolen the other weekend so I went about replacing it with a "refurbished" version of the same phone. Very happy with it as it works like new, but I'm unable to use Netflix at all, something to do with blocking access to phones that have been tampered with? Been looking for a workaround, installed the APK off the official netflix site and the app just says "this device is not supported by this app", can't download off the playstore either after resetting data and cache. Strange Icon Appears Above Browser Galaxy A20 Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:16 PM PST Hey Guys, A friend asked me to take a look at her phone today to try and figure out what is causing this weird icon to appear above Apps. I will add links below this. The only other weird behavior that she described having is that her location got set to somewhere in the middle east. Twice now. She was able to set it back. The problems are intermittent. My first thought was she had gotten some malware. What do you think? Do you recommend any antivirus software? Do you recognize what it is? Thanks in advance. Normal https://i.imgur.com/C0Wcfv2.jpg Edit: I copied the wrong link address and one of the pictures is of the normal look. The one with the face shows up on multiple sites and apps. When I get back to my computer I'll fix it. Strange Face Icon [link] [comments] |
Do not disturb mode turn on only while at home? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 09:26 PM PST Hello everybody, does anyone know if there's a way to schedule "Do Not Disturb" to turn on while at home address only? I currently have a Pixel 2XL running the latest Android 10 os. [link] [comments] |
Play Store Download/install issue Posted: 29 Jan 2020 03:03 PM PST I had this problem once - gone so far that i wiped my phone 3 times untill i stoped sync with my google profile - finaly it worked. Now to months later - it is starting again: I did everything, cleared app data, cache of download manager, google play services, playstore, removed my google konto, restarted... Why is this happening? I cant be the only one with this problem. On my last note's everything worked fine. Now on the note 10 i have so many issues with that. I have no root, i use it normal. No cfw, no nothing. Hours of searching, i contacted google once but ther support was really bad. Short version: Its samsungs fault. I have to close the app everytime i fully download one app. It stuck on 99% 100% or "installing"... but it does not finish it. I close the store, go back in and its installed like it should be. If not i have to reboot my phone... if this does not work i have to force stop playstore, clear data cache and so on... if im lucky it works. If im not - repeat. I don't want to wipe my phone again :/ Can someone pls help me? [link] [comments] |
Failed to extract from II2CPP and a plentitude of other problems Posted: 29 Jan 2020 08:21 PM PST Hi redditers! Recently my phone has started to be experiencing a number of problem which are effecting its usage. For example: All apps fail to extract from II2CPP, Facebook and multiple other apps (Tango, Amazon Shopping) crashing all the time while not being used, I can't take screenshots even though I have 30gb left, I can't move my apps from SD Card (which is my internal storage) to my local phone storage (which is my external), can't delete cache (or at least it doesn't change the memory when I delete cache), and my phone keeps on randomly restarting every once in a while. I have a Motorola G5S Plus with android 7.1.1 if that may help whatsoever. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out with this, thanks! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:38 PM PST Pixel 3XL, Android 10, January 2020 patch level... This has happened twice today. I'll swipe up to show recent apps and then explicitly swipe up again to close a specific app (or select 'Close All'...behavior is the same). No error is emitted and the apps seem to close. But when I swipe up from the launcher later, the apps are still there. If I try to select one of those "running" apps, Android will respond that the app is not available which suggests that the app really terminate. This afternoon, the app in question was Google Hangouts. I rebooted and things seemed to work normally. Just now it happened again...this time, there were two apps stuck in this zombie state: Termux (terminal emulator) and Google's weather widget. I'm not sure what triggers this behavior as after the reboot, things seemed to work normally. Today is the first day I've seen this behavior. According to Play Store app, the only things that have auto-updated in the last 24 hours are: Google Photos, Phone, Android Auto and "Google". Of those, only the last 3 updates would have occurred before the first incident. None of those seem particularly likely to have broken the launcher. [link] [comments] |
When I'm connected to WiFi, messenger and my mms don't function correctly. Posted: 29 Jan 2020 11:05 PM PST Whenever I'm connected to WiFi and someone sends me a picture or an attachment on FB messenger, it says "downloading photo" or "*** sent an attachment". If I turn off my wifi, they load. Often when I'm on wifi and send a message on FB messenger, it will not fully send to the recipient. (As opposed to the filled in grey bubble I get the outlined mark). Inversely, when I'm connected to WiFi, my mms won't send. I'll have to kill my wifi, send a photo via text then toggle my wifi back on. My phone's not rooted, any help please?? [link] [comments] |
Can't Find Recent Apps Locking Feature ?? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 11:02 PM PST Somebody help me please I have android version 7.0, galaxy note 5 with T-Mobile and I can't find the lock recent apps functionality. I need this terribly. Considering downloading a Rom for a more recent version?? Though it should be on this one... here's an article about it (https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-make-use-of-the-android-nougat-recent-apps-lock/) And here's a screenshot of my recent apps (not much to see) [link] [comments] |
Issues with remote controlling of Android 10 Posted: 29 Jan 2020 10:50 PM PST I'm on the Pixel 4 and haven't been able to get my Teamviewer app to work properly since. When I connect to my phone from my PC, it will not let me see the screen until I accept a "Exposing sensitive info during casting recording" message that pops up on the phone. Even when I do that, I can only view, and not control the phone. On my old Galaxy S7 I could connect to my phone and get full control without having to tap any approval on the phone. Is this a limitation of Android 10, or is there a way around this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jan 2020 10:35 PM PST So my Samsung Galaxy A9 decided to go into spasm yeaterday and suddenly became really slow. Now every time I turn it on it has about 30 seconds before it becomes unresponsive and I have to force restart with Power Key + Volume Down. It also now has problems with heat while charging, and it drains the battery very fast. The phone works perfectly normally in Safe Mode. Because of this, I've tried clearing the cache, memory as well as uninstalling all recent apps and deleting all recent downloads (even though theres nothing suspicious there). Short of a factory reset, I dont really have anything left to try and I would prefer to avoid an FR. Anyone has any ideas?? TIA [link] [comments] |
OTG not working plus charging issues Posted: 29 Jan 2020 06:02 PM PST My phone is not recognizing the OTG anymore. After removing the OTG, the phone will not charge. After restarting the phone it charges ok. The problem repeats if I plug the OTG again. I use the otg for mouse functionality. Already swapped different mice. Mice work ok on PC. OTG cable itself without any device induces the problem btw. Already tried a new OTG with the same results. Help!!! [link] [comments] |
High data usage from 'Google Account Manager' Posted: 29 Jan 2020 08:46 PM PST Hi all, My rooted Samsung Galaxy J3 6 on a custom ROM is having high data usage from Google account manager. I have seen other posts with issues like this, but they were only Google Pixel devices on stock ROM and used more data than in my case. ROM in question is Minimal Dream v5 on Android 6.0.1 [link] [comments] |

How can I disable notifications blasting in my ear when I'm on the phone? Posted: 29 Jan 2020 11:53 AM PST I can't find anywhere to disable this. It's fucking annoying. I am on a pixel3a, and I use Textra. I want to receive notifications, BUT do not want them while I am on a call. Like it keeps vibrating or will just play the notification in my ear regardless if I have the phone set to silent or vibrate. I even have this disabled inside of Textra, and it still was playing my notification in my ear. [link] [comments] |
Automatically Minimize Keyboard After Copying URL Posted: 29 Jan 2020 05:47 PM PST Is there a way to make the keyboard and omnibox automatically minimize after copying the url in chrome? And has anyone found a way to get rid of the omnibox altogether after the enable switch was removed? I'm using Chrome in Android 10 on a Oneplus 7t. I'm rooted, with Magisk, but otherwise running vanilla. Open to outside-the-box solutions. If you're local to Michigan and have a solution for this, I'll buy you $beverage. This is driving me nuts. Can't view mobile data usage information on Xiaomi phone Posted: 29 Jan 2020 07:58 AM PST Hi everyone! The problem is pretty much in the title. My Xiaomi MiA2 notifies me about some amount of data used, but I cannot view data usage information on how much each app used. When I open app data usage I just see a blank screen and a settings gear icon. I have two SIM cards of the same carrier. One SIM shows me the blank white screen I mentioned, while the other SIM shows around 7 gb usage. At the same time my carrier app states I've used 50gb of data on one of my numbers. Both doesn't seem true to me. I definitely used more than 7gb and less than 50gb. Any tips? Device runs android 9 [link] [comments] |
