    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 06:34 PM PST

Hey! I had a question about flashing the beta. If I flash the pie beta 3, will I still get the OTA to official Android 9 or do I have to manually flash every single version after this? Thanks!

    Airdots help!

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 06:47 PM PST

Bought my nephew a pair of these for christmas. He suddenly came to me because he had an issue with his. It randomly switched the language to chinese on it's own. I then try to switch back to English and the left earbud will say English, then pairing, then back to chinese. The right earbud won't even turn off or switch to English or anything. What can I do?

    Mi 9t Pro volume issues

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:46 PM PST

I made a post recently that got no replies. I'm hoping this is a feature I've missed rather than a bug...

When I connect to my Chromecast or Roku box, I can't turn my phone volume up or down, only the device I am connected to. To use my phone volume I need to disconnect from the device.

On any other phone I have used the volume would pop up and I'd be able to select which volume I am adjusting but this, when connected, doesn't even pop up the volume on my phone screen.

My Mi 9 lite had absolutely terrible battery life on MIUI 11

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 11:44 AM PST

So, I recently got this phone, have been using for couple days or so. One of the reasons I bought this smartphone was a battery life. But I'm very disappointed in the battery. It gets from 100% to like 60% in just 4 hours of consistent use. That's really bad for 4000 mAh battery on Snapdragon 710 . Is it a common issues or that's just my device that had some kind of manufactural defect? Should I be considering contacting the store where I bought this phone?

I have a Redmi 6 (a little old I know) and I always had this issue. I love music and I would like to listen to during calls with my friends but every time that I accept a call, every background sound gets so terrible that I can barely hear. Sorry for my bad english.

Mi Home scenes in Google Home

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 04:54 PM PST

I can't make it work. Mi Home scenes won't show in Google Home even after syncing devices. Anyone know what to do?

I found work around, ignore Mi Home scenes and use Yeelight scenes but then I can't add command to Air Purifier, coz Yeelight is only about lights.

    Please help. ☹️

Mi 9T Pro Vs Mi Note 10?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 04:20 PM PST

I'm going to buy a new phone and have narrowed it down to these 2, but I just can't make my mind up between the 2.

I'm in the UK, and can buy either the Mi 9T Pro for £270 or the Mi Note 10 for £330.

I quite like the Mi 9T for the full screen, facilitated by the pop up camera.

The Note 10 is tempting me though with its camera specs, including the 108mp camera. However, the Snapdragon 730G is slightly worrying compared to the 855 of the 9t pro...

So my 3 main questions would be:

    • Chipset. Considering I won't be playing any games, is there really a noticeable difference between the 2? Will both phones hold up well with future versions of android?

    • Cameras. Is the 108mp just a gimmick, or will the pictures be significantly better? Is it enough to justify the higher price and older chipset?

    • Batteries. The 9t Pro has 4000mah, compared to 5260mah. Though I've heard the 5260mah doesn't last as long as you'd think. How do the 2 compare?

Right now I'm leaning towards the 9t Pro overall. Which would you choose?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 04:03 PM PST

Hi! My girlfriend needs a new smartphone, i have the A1 for two years now and love it. She is moving from a Motorola and wants a Xiaomi. In the price range for her budget i found the Note 8 and the Mi A3. After some videos and reading about the two i still dont know the best one for her. The Note 8 have the best resolution, but the batery life in the A3 is really good. She uses YouTube and brownse Instagram a lot. What you guys recommend?

CC9 Pro chinese version - how can I make this global

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 10:34 AM PST

I just got the CC9 pro, although I was expecting the Note 10, the phone is still very Chinese and I'm quite disappointed (coming from a Mi 9T, but the screen broke and I struggled to get a replacement screen)

I believe I can 'convert' the CC9 pro to an international version but I'm not too tech savvy..

I really just wanna type in my google credentials and have the old google/android profile...

    How can I do that?

    Mi 9t battery situation

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:22 AM PST

I bought a Mi 9t 2 days ago and I noticed the 4000 mAhm battery only lasts for 8-10 hours (im a very active user), but my last phone had also a 4000 mAhm battery and would last around 12-14 hours with the same use.

Your experience is about the same?

Also this thing charges crazy fast! 1 Hour 0 to 80, is this normal?

Edit: Thanks for your asnwers !!

    Low volume? (9se / A3)

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:10 AM PST

    Hey,

Does anyone else have a max volume issue on their 9se or A3? I originally thought it was cause of the USB-c to headphone adapter on the 9se but the A3 and standard headphones also do not get very loud.

I can get a way higher volume via a Bluetooth headset which is helpful for noisy environments or when running.

    Is this a software limitation?

    Thanks

Mi Air 2 (aka Airdots Pro 2): after 2.7.1.0 firmware update right earphone doesn't play back audio

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 06:21 AM PST

I've updated firmware on my Mi Air 2 earphones using the app provided with the QR code in the box. Had to use someone else's phone for that because the app wouldn't run on my device. Firmware update went without any errors or issues from what I could notice. Once everything was done, I removed earphones from the case to give them a try and, well, everything worked.

So I happily unpaired them from that phone to connect back to mine, and then right earphone stopped playing audio back (on any device I paired it to). Microphone still works and all the sensors do, but it remains silent. Left earphone plays back audio, but microphone doesn't work there anymore. I've installed an older version of the app on my phone and it says both earphones are charged as well as the box.

I've tried everything I could think of and nothing has helped. I suppose something did go wrong during the firmware update after all and the only way to fix my buds is a fresh firmware install. Is it possible to do so? if not, how soon can we expect another firmware version to be released? Maybe you have any other suggestions on how to fix the problem?

Any help would be greately appreciated, thank you!

Need some help configuring Mi 9 Lite

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 01:41 PM PST

Mi 9 Lite, MIUI Global 11.3.5

I recently switched from some other Android phone to Xiaomi and while I'm generally not unhappy (hardware is great) i do have some issues with mi ui. Maybe its just an issue of getting used to some characteristics, but I would be happy if someone could help me a bit.

1.) Camera: To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed here. I guess its just a software thing, but eventhough I deactivated every Softness/Beauty Filter (or at least thought i did) colors just feel "a bit" blunt to me. Espacially when there is skin or skintones in the frame. Are there some hidden filters affecting that kinda stuff that I just missed? Or is there another workaround? Really doesnt feel like a late 2019 camera tbh.

2.) Media sounds/Notifications/Ringtone/Vibration: When I completly turn down media volume, there are still some apps playing sounds, which arent notifications or similiar. E.g. setting a timer still makes the clicking sound or deleting a picture still plays a deleting sound. Those only stop when turning off the ringtone. Maybe I'm wrong here, but that just feels wrong to me.

Is there a way to have a phone that is silent regarding media or in-app sounds but rings, when there is an incomming call or other (text) notification?

Speaking of silent mode, is there a quick way to switch between "silent ringtone" and "silent but vibrates on calls and notifications"? The vibration button in the drop down menu only affects vibration on icomming calls while i hoped it would toggle "vibration on silent".

3.) Automatic power savings: I tried to deactivate all automatic battery saving and decline the small battery saving mode popup at 20%, yet all vibration are deactivated under 15% every time. Not to much of an issue but I do miss the haptic feedback and just cant find, which settings affect that.

I know this is quite some text and quite demanding for a first post as a new member in a community, but google or resarch on the official forum didnt quite help me and I seem to not be able to fix these things on my own just yet. Thanks to everyone taking their time to read and answer this.

Yeelight Customized Sunrise with longer duration than preset scene

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 12:55 PM PST

Hi, I want to use the Yeelight RGB as a sunrise alarm clock. The preset sunset last about 10-15 minutes. You can customize new scenes, so it would be possible to create a sunrise which last about 30 minutes. Has anybody here done this? Which frames did you use? Is there no way to download settings and customized frames/scenes from other users?
