Posted: 17 Dec 2019 06:17 PM PST I recently made a purchase on a Redmi Note 8 Pro, after doing extensive phone shopping on a bit of a budget (under $299 USD), and found a 6/128GB on Amazon for $229 USD. I reviewed the specs and decided to go with that... I received it earlier in the month, but am planning to wait until Christmas day to unbox it and begin using it. I currently own an Mi A2 Lite which runs Android One, however I am familiar with MIUI in itself as well... (well, MIUI 4, and 7 that is heh) For the Redmi Note 8 Pro owners out there, what impresses you most over other phones? Also, did I make the right decision in buying an Note 8 Pro? Should I have went with something else entirely? Tell me what you think, and be honest, the good, the great, the bad, and the ugly. I'd love to hear your opinions. | Mi9T "Phone Idle" 45% battery usage Posted: 17 Dec 2019 08:45 PM PST Several times in the last few days I've picked up my Mi9T and the display is black and non-responsive but the phone is very warm. "Long press" on power button starts it up again. Battery usage says PHONE IDLE at 45%. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||

I have been using cheap phones since the 2009 smartphone Era around 100-150 USD (Samsung touch, galaxy S duos, Lenovo a5000). I've always wanted to buy a midrange phone and Mi 9T pro was a great choice. But since in PH, K20 pro is just fine with the LTE bands so I went and bought one. I just researched the specs, bands, and usage but I'm really a newbie when it comes to modifying the OS. I bought my phone from lazada, in which the seller is a main distributor for Xiaomi phones in HK and CN, and came with a global rom. I updated it to Miui 11.0.1 Global currently. | Posted: 17 Dec 2019 01:26 PM PST I just noticed that a small part of my screens top(just at the edge of the screen) right corner is darker than the rest of the screen, and turns slighlty red when turning on the night mode. What causes this, and could this get worse? Is there a way to fix this? I don't know if this is relevant, but a few weeks ago I had my battery replaced & screen reglued. I personally tested and the vibration with high intensity works properly .. the scooter seems to beat somewhere but only at low intensity..for the rest it works fine..i don't know if i explained myself .. or it's just so noisy ... | Xiaomi Mi 9 SE stuck in reboot loop Posted: 17 Dec 2019 12:25 PM PST I picked up my phone a while ago and saw it was restarting, I didn't think of anything until it restarted again (Showing MI Logo, going black, showing MI Logo again). I tried to go into the fastboot mode but the phone keeps restarting before it shows up Im completely out of ideas of what to do. This sound cant be disabled anywhere in settings or the universal volume control, and even turning off sound and notifications completely does nothing. For such limited usage, would I really feel a difference between these models? Is there something significant that would make a higher end model worth it? I was hoping to keep a tight budget as well. I have 600mb left and 10 days left, but the new phone thinks I am 31 days left before the change and that i have all my lte unused!
