Signal Vs Silence vs other sms apps for security. Posted: 12 Dec 2019 05:22 AM PST Hello, So, I currently use Silence as my main sms app. Its simple and clean and light weight too. I read that it's a fork of Signal(is that true?). I have tried SMS Oraganiser previously and I think it is one of the best apps ever. I switched to Signal after that, for privacy, and was okay with it, but it was consuming storage. I use it only for the sms service so it was not ideal for me. Hence, I started using Silence. Does anyone have any ideas about how good it is? Also, let me know the SMS app of your choice which I can try out. I would prefer if it is open source. Thank you. Note: I have checked out Textra and Pulse. QKSMS too. [link] [comments] |
Vanced vs traditional paid YouTube subscription Posted: 12 Dec 2019 07:06 AM PST What advantage does Vanced have over the traditional YouTube app? Sure you can block some with Vanced but is that all? [link] [comments] |
A relaxation music app on the Play Store Posted: 12 Dec 2019 02:12 AM PST Hi, I am the creator of Bellz, a relaxation music app with binaural beats. I created it to help you sleep, relax or focus. It has genuine traditional bell sounds. You can have early access to it on the Play Store, we opened all premium sounds for this occasion 😊 We also have a puzzle game which had great success (more than 100k users) and we are working hard to have the same success with Bellz. 🔥🔥🚀 Looking forward to having your feedback, Marc [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Dec 2019 10:12 AM PST I m using slowly a Letterpal app. Most of the time i find people who are not interested in writing letters. The pals last for few days and become inactive. Today i got a letter with Premium stamp(The app has premium stamp which cost money). The sender wrote a good sized letter which is the largest i ever got on slowly. At the end of letter the sender mentioned they get paid for writing this letter. So i think the letters are written by humans and is scamming people? Im writing this post so you people wont spend wasting your 1/2 - 1hour for writing nonsense letters . The location of mail showed is from US but the headquarters of app is in Honkong as per playstore . May be they are showing false location. Anyway im not 100% sure this is a fake msg or not. Posted: 12 Dec 2019 10:27 AM PST Hi! I started using FNG recently I gave it permissions with ABD and all this things. I like it but I have a huge issue, I hope someone can help me. The point is that the gestures work great but sometimes (specially when u don't use them for a while) they get very lagged. Sometimes I do the gesture and it takes 2sec to it to work, sometimes it doesnt work directly. It's pretty annoying because if u wanna go back and u use the gesture 2 times (if it didnt worked the 1st time i try a 2nd) the gesture activates 2 times... Thats all, the rest is working fine but this lag is fking annoying. (Sry for my english) [link] [comments] |
Google play apps stuck at 99% or not updating on galaxy s10 Posted: 12 Dec 2019 09:51 AM PST I've tried clearing the data and caches, tried restarting, tried everything I could find but with no luck any help is appreciated. Cant get it to update any of my apps 1 by 1 or all of them. Starts at 0% goes to 99% then will stop if I'm lucky other times just says pending and never changes. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Dec 2019 08:16 AM PST Basically title, I'd like to find a launcher that makes it easy to handle the device with one hand without having to use the built-in one hand mode (as it just doesn't work for me to be honest). [link] [comments] |
Is there an app to export Chrome Android bookmarks to new phone with no computer? Posted: 12 Dec 2019 11:57 AM PST I don't want to sync to desktop or my new device to access the 1235 bookmarks I have on my old device as I always lost tons of bookmarks in the sync process many times in the past using sync. Is there any app that can grab all thousand of bookmarks and transfer it to my new device with no loss? old device is a S8. new is note 9. [link] [comments] |
Sleep As Android vs S Health. Major discrepancy? Posted: 12 Dec 2019 10:01 AM PST I recently got a Galaxy Watch (46mm) and I was using the S Health app for sleep tracking but was averaging less an hour hour of Deep Sleep (often much less) according to their tracking (6.5-8 hours of total sleep usually) so I decided to try Sleep As Android. SaA says I'm averaging 3 hours 50 mins of Deep Sleep. I have SaA synced to my watch and run the phone app at the same time. How do I know which one os accurate? Is anyone else having this issue? I can't seem to find much about it through Google searches. [link] [comments] |
Looking for simple task/time tracking app. Posted: 12 Dec 2019 09:39 AM PST I am looking for a simple app that I can open and add "brushed teeth" or "took meds" or "drove to work 45 min" and it will just time stamp them and that I can check back and see what I missed doing (Memory issues and panic attacks etc which I would like to be able to get a better handle on) . I have been using google sheets with the day broken down into 15 minute intervals but that is clunky as heck. Something simple would be a lot easier for me. If it had a built in timer that I could turn on at the beginning of a task then back off at the end that would be even better! I will also happily take any advise about general time tracking / memory issue / anxiety etc that you would like to share <3 [link] [comments] |
Most reliable Wifi signal strength / heat mapper? Posted: 11 Dec 2019 09:12 PM PST Hi, anyone have recommendations for reliable wifi signal mappers? Looking to see map the weak spots in my house so I can boost signals where necessary. Thanks [link] [comments] |
What are the best educational apps for when you have a little bit of free time? Posted: 11 Dec 2019 02:34 PM PST I really enjoy apps that will let me sharpen a skill with a short lesson whenever I have a bit of free time. I like the sense of progress that it gives from utilizing those small instances of free time. I do this with Memrise, Anki, and Duolingo for languages and SoloLearn for Python. Does anyone know of any other good apps that provide lessons to learn skills on the go? [link] [comments] |
Any Android keyboard (except Fleksy) that allow cycling through word predictions by swiping down? Posted: 12 Dec 2019 02:45 AM PST That feature I am really used to, and am finding it difficult to use Gboard without being able to swipe for different words (I'm typing significantly slower on it than Fleksy). However, the privacy and lack of updates on Fleksy means I want to use another app. Is there any other decent keyboard app that does swiping to change word predictions? [link] [comments] |
Snapchat won't let me add user. I'm not blocking user and I'm not on their block list Posted: 12 Dec 2019 07:29 AM PST So this has happened twice already. I try to add someone, but I get the error "not found" (or whatever it is). The other user also tries to add me, but they can't find me either. We're not on each other's blocked lists, so idk what the issue could be. Why would snapchat not let me add someone? The only issue I can think of is that these users had unfriended/blocked me a while ago, but we're trying to add each other again. Any idea of how to get around this? [link] [comments] |

Gallery app similar to Samsung one Posted: 12 Dec 2019 12:31 AM PST Hi. I am looking for a very specific feature in a gallery app that I have only found in Samsung. I want to have that view, where pics are in 2 rows on the right side, and on your left side are your folders. Thanks to this you can easily check many pictures and swipe them into the appropriate folder. I haven't found this feature in any gallery app that I have tested. [link] [comments] |
