    S9+ WiFi issue after update

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 08:15 AM PST

My Galaxy 9+ just updated the other day and now it will not connect to my wifi. It was working fine last night, but now it says "authentication error occurred". My computer still connects just fine. Any ideas on resolving the issue? I have restarted my phone and modem with no luck.

    Samsung UI 2.0

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:32 AM PST

Hello! The new update is cool but I have a bit of a problem with the new gestures and I don't know where to post it in order to get some attention to it and I think this sub is a good idea.

I have a suggestion about the new back gesture. We should chose on wich side of the screen we use the back button or have a customisable zone to trigger it.

The apps that have pannels to swipe always trigger the back action. (Like Reddit or Playstore)

I hope this gets some attention!

Merry Holidays and a Happy New Year!

Can anyone help me with my phone issue?

I bought a phone from eBay (No issues, all went smoothly) but now i have a green pixel on the phone which is causing a green line. I checked the IMEI number and it should still be in warranty but i can't get access without the original details! The seller won't get back in contact with me, what can i do? The original account is with Vodafone UK.

    S10 2x Zoom camera

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 06:29 AM PST

I just bought lightly used S10, received it on Saturday, replaced my G6. While testing out the 3 camera options, I initially thought that the 2x zoom preview looked more grainy than the 1x or ultrawide, but not enough to think anything weird or wrong. For context, I haven't put a case on my S10 yet, the Dbrand Grip I ordered has a 6-8 day delay. Last night I was fooling around with an old HTC 10 case, it never fit he HTC well because the silicone bumper was too soft and stretchy. Anyway, the silicone bumper can fit around the S10 frame, stretched top to bottom a few mm, USB and speaker cut outs line up, but the buttons don't match at all, and the camera cutout is different, but exposes 2 of 3 cameras. Playing around with S10 in this mismatched case, I opened the camera app, where I discovered that the ultrawide and 1x cameras work, but so too does the 2x preview! The Samsung camera app is just using digital zoom to 2x from the regular 1x camera instead of activating the 2x camera. I can only get the 2x camera to activate with the Live Focus camera setting. I feel cheated. Is the 2x camera always gimped on the regular S10? Mobile reviewers always tested the S10+, so I was under impression that there were 3 distinct cameras accessible on both S10 and S10+. Is this just a bug, or "feature" of the camera app in certain lighting conditions? Is there any camera apps that can directly access all 3 cameras?

Galaxy S8 battery dying really fast

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 08:03 PM PST

So I was having to using multiple backup batteries and charge all the time because I would lose 10% in like 15mins of use. I just got the battery replaced and it's not as bad but it's still dying way too fast to me. In 1 1/2hrs since being charged to 100%, with 30mins of screen time with only doing changes to settings to try and stop this and some facebook it's down to 81%. I'm got the thing optimized, apps set to no to background use...I don't know what is going on. Was I sold a bad battery or is this gonna happen no matter what I do?

Transferring applications from iPhone to Note 9?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 06:35 PM PST

Is there a way to transfer over software licenses from my iOS device to my Samsung device?

I'm moving onto a note 9 from my iPhone 6, and I'd like to at least keep The World Ends With You and FL Studio Mobile, among other things.

Or is it simply a case of having to re-buy everythig I had on my old phone?

I hope there's a way to do it, because I don't want to lose anything and I'm going to be wiping my iPhone 6 so my dad can finally have something better than an iPhone 4.

    Google news instead of Bixby

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 08:48 PM PST

So I had a google pixel 2XL until recently. And one of the things that I liked about it was being able to swipe to the left and get relevant news. Is there anyway to replace that Bixby home with google news? Thanks in advance.

USB Connect Disconnect problem (Samsung Galaxy A70)

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 02:16 AM PST

Hey everybody,I have seen this problem popping up over the internet some times, but now the problem has occured to me aswell. When i don't have my usb in the phone (Samsung A70), the phone says that there is a USB connecting and disconnecting, which causes me being unable to turn off the screen, draining my battery a lot. Anybody has a fix for this, i already tried emptying the USB cache storage, and draining the battery and loading it to 100% aswell, but neither has managed to fix my problem.

Edit: I have fixed it for now, I switched the cable ends around (usb-c type, so you can switch the end from your charger and put it into your phone), This seemed to work for now atleast.

Watch Active2 and Vodafone OneNumber still not working?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2019 02:09 AM PST

Trying to activate cellular on my Active2 on Vodafone in the UK, using my Note 8.

Just keep getting "Mobile service fot his watch isn't available in your region".

Google search shows multiple posts around October this year on Vodafone, Samsung and Reddit the summary of which is: = Active2 enabled using an iPhone on Vodafone works. -> The problem is a Samsung one, where bizzarely they provide better support on Apple than on their own devices!

My question is, has this been resolved yet and I should be chasing Vodafone to make sure they've set things up properly or do Active2 watches still not work properly with Samsung phones (but they do with iPhones)?
