| Latest update is not that great. Posted: 10 Dec 2019 10:16 AM PST I've been using the latest Oxygen update (OP6T) for the past few days and I have a couple of observations. 1. Sometimes the whole UI becomes very laggy and slow. It drops below 30fps. Locking the phone and unlock it fixed this. 2. I've had issues where the back gestures won't work. I tried pulling down the notifications and going to settings and then going back, still it didn't work. Restart fixes it. 3. Facebook videos not loading for me. I have to force stop the apps and then open it to work again. No clue if this is an app issue or the software issue. 4. Digital wellbeing sometimes goes missing. 5. The new animations are just amazing to watch. 6. Desperately need a dark toggle in QS. Need to know more from you guys. [link] [comments]  | ||

The display does not work and the touch doesn't react, but I can use fp scanner, all buttons and the leds are still working fine. My big problem is that my latest backup is gone (somehow) and I really want to save my ~ 3k pictures. The problem is I'm not tech savy and didn't know about android debugging and rooting until today. I'm currently living in south america and I'm not sure if I even have a chance of getting a screen replacement. So my question is: Is there a trick to force a backup onto my PC(win10) without root and with an unusable screen Or do I really have to wait until I return to europe to get the screen replacement and use my shitty replacement phone for the remaining time? | Why is my OP 6T so unbelievably slow? Posted: 10 Dec 2019 02:18 PM PST It's only a year old. Most of the time I'm using this phone, it become PATHETICALLY slow: completely unresponsive, and constant freezing that requires multiple restarts. Usually it occurs when I'm using Snapchat or the stock camera app itself. Or when I'm using multiple apps at the same time. I can't use ANY app while having music on Spotify playing in the background with Google maps open as well without them all crashing. This is absurd. Just now I tried to open the camera app without ANY app open in the background and the phone just completely freezes over and over. And after ten minutes and two restarts I gave up trying to take a single simple picture that should have taken 5 seconds. Just pulling up the keyboard on any app takes at least 15-20 seconds. It's 2019 and we can't have a smartphone phone that can last two fucking years? Why the hell did I spend 550 dollars on this? And before people start listing off the obvious "fixes", my storage isn't overflowing, in fact it's only 40% full. And I don't have any suspicious apps that are hogging up CPU power in the background. It's the 128gb with 8gb ram. And if that much ram isn't enough for a fucking smartphone, then this the worst phone I've ever used because that's how much ram my gaming PC has and it can run a few AAA titles well enough. So I guess what I'm asking is that is this phone really that badly designed and optimized? Or did I just get unlucky and got a defective device? Because it wasnt always this pathetically slow. Slow/laggy technology is one of my biggest pet peeves. And I refuse to ever use an apple or Samsung phone. And after the stupid idiots at Google ended the Nexus phone to create the idiotic overpriced iPhone copy that the pixel is, I thought that OnePlus was a good replacement for the Nexus but apparently I was wrong. I don't understand why and how this happened as I made sure to wipe all information on the OnePlus 6 before transferring her contacts and information from IOS. | Trouble setting up new OP7 Pro Posted: 10 Dec 2019 05:25 PM PST Hey guys. I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. I'm new to this subreddit. I just unboxed my unlocked 7 pro and am attempting to complete the setup process. I got all the way to "Access your Assistant with your voice" screen. There are no prompts, only an info paragraph, a button labeled "more" and the Android back button. When I press "more", I get haptic feedback from the button as if it has been clicked, but nothing happens. I've done multiple restarts and gone through the entire setup thrice now. Any ideas how to resolve this? I can't access the phone until this damn screen is passed. P.S. Phone is currently running on WiFi and does not have a sim installed.
