| Posted: 13 Dec 2019 10:22 AM PST Hello there, I recently bought a PC with a Windows 10 x64. I am not really tech savvy and my native language isn't english so please bear with me. It is an Acer Veriton M480G Tower PC. Whenever I boot the PC, the following message comes: https://ibb.co/D5rr9CD. It also beeps twice when I boot. After that I press F1, the PC runs normally but it is still very concerning to me. It also doesn't react to any other command other than F1. Dont know what to do what is wrong with my PC. | Trackpad Issues After Upgrading To Windows 10 Posted: 13 Dec 2019 06:37 AM PST We have a number of office laptops that we have been upgrading to Windows 10 and one issue I've seen seems to happen a lot with our HP EliteBook 840 G1 and G2 laptops. After upgrading to Windows 10 they often experience random cursor movement and button clicking. Sometimes it is sporadic other times it is so constant that you need to do a hard reboot. They all use a Synaptics trackpad with the latest drivers installed. I've tried using older versions of the driver but that doesn't help. If you disable the trackpad the issue goes away. Any ideas? | Chrome audio gone after refresh Posted: 13 Dec 2019 11:59 AM PST Hey folks, In the last two days I've had issues with Chrome audio just stopping altogether when refreshing any tab on Chrome, be it a YouTube video, Netflix or even some random ad. Chrome will continue playing, audio on the video could be maxed out and on volume mixer, it is either at max with no "jump" or just gone entirely. I searched around and really found similar issues from months ago, tried those such as the base uninstall and reinstall, reset it back to day one. Tried in //flags as well as settings, but all to no avail. When the audio cuts out, everything else bar Chrome works away fine, Spotify firefox and so forth. I've yet to find anything to get it to work and looking to see if anyone has encountered this and gotten it to work? Cheers [link] [comments]  | ||

If I buy a laptop from bestbuy/Costco etc is there any way to get rid of the junk software that comes on it? Can I reinstall windows or is it more complicated than that? | Posted: 13 Dec 2019 06:02 AM PST Hello, so my problem is that my laptops screen will have blue shading in some cases. It's readily apparent in some situations such as playing Minecraft (it turns normal cobblestone to diamonds, which would be great if it was in game). I can usually solve the problem by adjusting the angle of my laptop screen until it eventually goes away. So I'm basically looking for conformation that it's something mechanical and wire/physical related, not software or anything. Agreed/Thoughts? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Need Help Against Persistent E Stalker Posted: 12 Dec 2019 07:51 PM PST Ok, this is how the story goes. I've been harassed by this sad individual since around 2000. Yes, almost 20 years now. It all started out in a ps2 online community. Thought I met a good friend. But wasn't the case. I accepted an email with an attachment of a Pic of himself. Little did I know about pc security back then and that's how it started. Since then, I keep getting harassed. What he does is monitor me, and uses that personal information to let me know he is watching. Info he gets from chatroom chats, Google searches, stuff like that. Loaded comments on my YouTube channel alluding to personal information I looked up. All very subtle. Other than that, settings changing on my pc. Videos being saved in files I did not do myself. Just now, the pc turning off by itself before I had the chance to do it myself after I wrapped up my work. What I have tried to do? Well, firstly, the police are sh*t. They have no resources to deal with this and even if they did, I'm told that stalkers who do this dumb shit hide behind VPN so there is no way to catch the perpetrator. Secondly, I've tried to format my pc, change my passwords but this rat always manages to get in. I believe he has some tech to attach Spyware to emails without any attachment being visible. The usual advice I get is: Get a good anti virus program and scan. If it was only that simple. This type of Spyware used is undetectable. So it's pointless. Now I am considering going through the whole process again. Getting a new ISP, new modem, new passwords, but I am afraid that the hacker will get in again, and its the worst feeling having to go through the bs again after all the effort made. I created this post using my mobile phone which is free from infection. I say this because previously, my older phone was infected as well because I connected it to my pc. And I was being monitored, spied on and listened to through my phone! The kind of virus that spreads. So here I am, appealing for help once again and hoping this bs will finally stop. I need some good advice. Good advice! If you think this is all crazy to be true, and that I am just imagining this stuff, save it. Last thing I want to deal with right now, is a wall of denial and dismissiveness. [link] [comments]  |
