Just ordered my oneplus 7 pro! Posted: 24 Nov 2019 12:54 PM PST I'm so excited. I got the grey version. Anything I should know? I'm upgrading from my oneplus 3 and a bit worried it's going to be too big but oh well. I'll judge that when I get it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:01 AM PST I just bought a OnePlus 7 Pro around a month ago, and have been super satisfied with the experience. Battery life was great back then, with around 8+ hours of screen on-time, and I only had to charge it twice every 3 days or so. However 2 weeks ago (a few days after updating to Android 10), I started to experience severe battery drain issues. The battery drops by 15-20% overnight, with an average screen on-time of around 2.5-5.0 hours with a full charge. My screen brightness is around the 15-20%, and location services, NFC, Bluetooth aren't used frequently. This has been driving me absolutely nuts, because I've checked the detailed battery usage, but can't pinpoint a particular app which is causing the drain. I have tried factory resetting my phone, but the problem still persists. This did not happen after a particular update, and I've scrolled through many forum answers but still haven't found a solution to my problem. I'm really at wits end at this point, so PLEASE, if anyone could help me solve this problem, I'd be eternally grateful! Edit: Formatting [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 02:11 PM PST Today I started experiencing longer reboot times, when I reboot the device I have to wait about 6 seconds at the black screen before the OnePlus "Powered by Android" screen shows up and the phone vibrates. This is not how it used to be so I'm wondering if any of you guys are experiencing the same thing? Btw I'm on the OnePlus 5T. [link] [comments] |
Android is at the top of its game. Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:36 PM PST I've been using android phone most of my life and I've owned 3 OP devices and I've loved each of them (My lashes being the one one plus 7pro) . I loved it and it's screen a lot. I've always wanted an iOS device and I bought the iPhone 11 Pro Max and well I like iOS but honestly I like android more but lemme explain: Usually on Android when I wanted something done ( best example turning the location on or off ) I just toggled it on or off but on iOS I have to go straight to the settings -> privacy and locations to toggle it on. Those small things make iOS a drag and usually counter productive. Saving images from reddit on android was as simple press and save but on iOS yo have to press and the share menu pops up -> scroll down and then save the image. The small things add up. It's not a bad phone thing it's good and the battery is ridiculous (like it's phenomenal !) but when I think about how easy android made my life I contemplate changing back. Just wanted to express my feels. I'll be back on my one plus once I have android 10 on my T-Mobile variant (don't wanna change it to international seems like a hassle ). Just hope I don't get ti attached to the Apple ecosystem [link] [comments] |
Does Android have (realistically) as many problems as I’ve heard in this sub? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 03:28 PM PST I'm think of purchasing a OP 7 and I'm on then fence of buying it. I've seen so many posts about how many problems their phones have and how many problems Android has. I'm coming from an iPhone 6s and in my experience I have never had any problems with my phone. TIA [link] [comments] |
How long did OnePlus take for your refund? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 02:30 PM PST I bought a OP7Pro a few days before the BF sale. I contacted OP on Nov. 18 (the first day of the sale) and asked for a price difference. I was eligible for the discount. However, OP still has not refunded me as of Nov. 24. Should I just wait it out or get in touch with OP again? How long did your refund take? [link] [comments] |
Turn off Adaptive battery and ram boost Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:36 AM PST Not only are they useless, they are worse than useless. I've been getting an hour more battery by turning them off. [link] [comments] |

I need help with nintendo switch pro controller lag on a OP7 Pro Posted: 24 Nov 2019 03:43 PM PST I was trying to use my switch pro controller on my phone to test out steam's game streaming and it was extremely laggy. I tried using touch controls and they had minimal latency, so this makes me think that the lag is happening between the controller and the phone. In addition to this the controller is laggy on the home screen and in non-streamed games. I tried following this guide for reducing latency on a pro controller and it didn't work. I am on OxygenOS 10.0.2 Other potentially useful facts: -the default button mapping in the steam setup process was not correct (y was bound to right trigger for example) despite android 10 supposedly having native support for pro controllers now -when navigating my home screen with a controller, if I move right the right stick, it will do nothing for a moment, then move one app over, then move between 3 and 5 apps over. -buttons don't register consistently (I've tried holding them down for varying amounts of time and they still don't always register) -this specific controller has no latency on my switch -I did all of this with the controller near full charge and the phone NOT on battery saving mode -My phone is not routed Thank you to anyone who can help [link] [comments] |
Bought 7t only 2 days before 7pro went on discount Posted: 24 Nov 2019 07:19 AM PST Is it possible to exchange 7t for 7 pro? I've been using it only since Thursday and it is in mint condition [link] [comments] |
Need help getting out of OnePlus Return Hell! Posted: 23 Nov 2019 09:13 PM PST TLDR: OnePlus has had my returned phone for 18 days, their service center won't respond to their customer service department's requests for status and I'm stuck in a finger pointing hell-loop between the two groups. Any suggestions on how to get them to process my refund???I decided to return a OnePlus 7T and Bullet headphones I received on October 24. They sent me the RMA return label on October 29. I packed everything up and fedex'd it back, and the returned items arrived at OnePlus's service center on November 5. Now, 18 days later OnePlus's My Service Requests page still shows the items only as received with no other progress. I've exchanged emails, chats and phone calls with several customer service reps and supervisors over the last almost three weeks and they always give the same answer "We're sorry for the delay, please wait 24-48 hours for the service center to respond. Now it's been over 400 hours and the service center has never responded and the status has never changed. One of the customer service supervisors told me the whole process from receipt to inspection to refund to credit card credit-back is supposed to take no more than six business days but here I am at three times that long and literally zero progress. The phone hasn't even been inspected yet (according to the progress timeline). Apparently Customer Service is a separate group from the Service Center and they claim they can only request updates via email and if the Service Center doesn't respond there's nothing they can do but send another email. So they just keep asking me to wait 24-48 hours. At this point it would be comical if I weren't out $623 US. Has anyone been through this same situation and figured out how to get them to cut a refund? Any suggestions to help me out? Thx! [link] [comments] |
Upgrading from iPhone 6 and going to be buying a OnePlus 6t, anything I should know. Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:24 PM PST Going to be my first android. I know there's better ones but I'm only 15 and I'm not looking to spend all my money on a phone. The 6t seems like it has the bang for my buck. Anything I should know before I order it? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:06 PM PST Does the super macro hold significant advantage over 7pro's normal macro mode? I believe 7 pro can go up to 2.5cm closer to the subject. I'm confused between the two and I'm okay with the curved screen and SD 855 processor. The only thing holding me back is the camera and screen brightness and I feel I might be losing a lot if I choose the 7 pro. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 10:09 AM PST Does anyone have any experience with these? They're on sale for $40 right now and I was considering getting one. I don't know much about car chargers but I'm assuming these are safe. Having a charger on the go that's as fast as my regular one would be great [link] [comments] |
What is the unknown weird system app lurking in my battery stat! Posted: 24 Nov 2019 10:03 AM PST It's been 3 days or more since i'm seeing this app. What is it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 07:47 PM PST Both OnePlus 7T and 7 Pro have been discounted on Amazon India and sale is going to last from 25th November to 2nd December. It's being done to celebrate 5 year of OnePlus and Amazon partnership. Don't think there has been any better time to get one. Go for it. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 7 Pro UK - Cyber Monday? OnePlus Restock? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 01:37 PM PST Do we think we'll see a drop in price on Amazon UK for the 7 Pro for Cyber Monday? Or is £599 the best we're going to get? Equally do you think OnePlus is just clearing stock on their website - with little possibility of restocking the Blue 7 Pro? Would like to hear where you bought yours from in the UK. [link] [comments] |
Can the T-Mobile 7T be converted to the International model ? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:50 AM PST I had the 6t o T-Mobile and once I pay it off I was able to get the Oxygen Updater app after unlocking it. So I'm now able to get updates quicker than the T-Mobile model. The question is can I also do this with the 7t on T-Mobile? [link] [comments] |
I wanna upgrade my camera with GCam, but it's not working properly in my OP7. Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:38 AM PST GCam has a great quality of capturing photos, so just wanted to upgrade it with my stock camera. But after installation it says that app isn't working. I read somewhere that it requires more files other than the app file. So, if somebody has link/file/procedure of the whole installation process then hit me with it. [link] [comments] |
Just ordered the 7 pro. What case and screen protector do you recommend Posted: 24 Nov 2019 07:08 PM PST Hello, I just ordered the 1+ 7 pro. Is there any case and screen protector that people recommend? I like simple cases, no wallet style. I prefer that it not have a kick stand. I would like it to be under $20. I like the case to be blue color. In terms of screen protector I'm pretty open minded. The current screen protector I have on my phone is tempered glass. [link] [comments] |
Oppo Reno Ace and Realme X20 Pro have 3.5 mm jack. Why not OnePlus? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:56 PM PST So OnePlus's sister brands like Oppo and Realme have almost same devices as it has with similar internals and design but they have 3.5 mm headphone jack, which OnePlus for some reason likes to omit. Why? For example - Oppo Reno Ace and Realme X20 Pro. Almost similar designs, similar internals but OnePlus skips on Headphone Jack. Is is because OnePlus is trying to push their wireless headphones? Or can we expect it in future devices? Because even Oppo for some time skipped 3.5 jack in it's phones and OnePlus inherited the same thing. So now that it's back in Oppo, can it be expected in OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro? I am not holding hopes very high, but maybe? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:52 PM PST My issue is that whenever I connect a pair of my wireless earbuds to my OnePlus 6, they make a terrible screeching noise with whatever I am playing on spotify. I've tried the pair with other devices such as other phones and laptops and they work fine. Any suggestions on how I could fix this? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
