Strange noise coming out of my phone Posted: 24 Nov 2019 02:16 PM PST Hey, earlier today a strange noise has come starting out of my phone. My screen is locked and the phone is just laying there. The sound is different from all the others i have. There is alsof no notification popping up. All my apps are completely closed aswell I searched a bit on the internet, and it has nothing to do with NFC or anything of the sorts. My guess is something when the phone is searching for a location of something like that. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge dropped in water, non-responding, doesn't turn on Posted: 24 Nov 2019 12:46 PM PST My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has been acidentally dropped in the bath water, then immediately taken out and dried with a towel. Removed the SIM card tray and tried shaking out as much water as possible. Let it dry for 15 minutes in air then tried charging. Couple questions about Mutiple Users on Android and Double SIM Posted: 24 Nov 2019 07:26 PM PST Hello! First of all sorry about my grammar mistakes, english is not my main language. Recently i started working on some social media related job, and i need to check and follow many corporations pages, but i dont wanna use my personal social media for that, so i learn that i can create another user on my android phone and just use fb/ig/twitter there with new accounts and everything separated from my personal stuff. Seems great, but i ran on obstacle, activating facebook with a new gmail is now stuck asking me a phone number to verify my account and there no way to bypass that(f*** you mark), my main number is already linked to my main facebook (big mistake i kow already) so now i need another sim, my phone can hold 2 sims so i plan to buy a prepaid one to verify all other apps since i feel i will run onto this issue again. So here comes my questions: I hate ads, but somehow i managed to have relavant ads on my social medi apps. If i start checkign and following, lets say, lots Clothign pages on my new android user, will my main user ads be relavant to that? or each user will have their own kind of ads? Letting a call ring? Why does Snapchat do This? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 04:55 PM PST I don't know if this is the right subreddit, but I usually get solid answers on here. So basically my Snapchat does this thing where it says it's updating messages (Notification shows up for about a second) when I do basically anything. When sending / opening snaps (Which isn't that weird) But also when saving and unsaving messages, and even when leaving a chat even if there were no changes made. Why would it need to update?) Also after voice calls. Maybe I'm just paranoid. This started happening after I randomly got logged out a while ago. Anyone else having this? Would this be an account thing or a device thing? Separate live wallpaper for lockscreen? Or at least pick a static homescreen wallpaper and then a live lockscreen wallpaper? Such a limitation on an os that boasts about its customization seems ridiculous. Is there a way to see what triggered Find My Device? All is well but there is one bit that I miss - the full list of my calls in the phone app. At the moment my Android only shows me the phone calls.
