Creating an image of a customers Win XP machine and creating VM in Hyper-V Posted: 25 Nov 2019 04:56 PM PST Hey guys, What is the best way to image an existing Windows XP machine and use that to create a VM in Hyper-V. A customer brought in a laptop running windows xp for a screen replacement and I am looking to give them a better option instead of sticking with dated hardware. They use windows xp for an embroidery machine software that will only work on xp I have used various imaging softwares but none of them seem to allow me to save them as ISO files. My latest attempt was with Macrium and it looked like that was going to do the trick but the image was saved under a special Macrium file type extension. I am new to hyper-v so any help would be helpful. Thank you in advance [link] [comments] |
