The only thing keeping me from buying the OnePlus 7 Pro is its size.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 07:45 PM PDT

I love almost everything about the OnePlus 7 Pro, the speed, cameras, display, build quality, speakers, software, etc. But why is it almost 7 inches? I want to be able to hold my phone with one hand without feeling like im gonna drop it, or that every time I sit down this massive phone is poking out of my pocket. Please OnePlus, make a 5.8 inch phone, it's so much more comfortable.

Issue with a really heavy compression and gate on OnePlus 6T microphone

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 12:56 AM PDT

Hi guys! I have struggled with this issue since I got the phone. I have also contacted OnePlus support and they couldn't help me out with it other than resetting to factory settings. So I'm left alone with the issue, and I'm thinking it's a software problem.. I also think this is an issue most people doesn't notice, because they probably don't use it for audio stuff like I do (recording demos and so on)

The issue: When the sound is too weak, the microphone isn't able to capture the sound properly (gating issue).. And when the sound is loud enough to be recorded it goes in to a really heavy compression. It cancel out many frequencies.. It's to such an extreme level that it cancel out many recordings I'm doing. Not only music, but other things aswell.. To me it sounds like this "noice cancelling feature" that this device is supposed to have is just a heavy gate/compression.

I have a small recording that shows exactly what I mean.. At the very start you can hear the guitar strings getting captured, but immediatly after it gets compressed and falls under the OnePlus gate limit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWaKS53mL6E&feature=youtu.be

Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

Galaxy Watch receiving notifications but not vibrating (OnePlus 7 Pro)

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 01:50 PM PDT

I just got my phone and I'm setting everything up and almost everything is done except the watch. It's causing some trouble. I unpaired it from my note 8 and downloaded the Wearable app on my OP7Pro, paired it and everything. So far, calls work and I receive all notifications, however im not really 'notified' of them. There's only the yellow dot in the middle of the watch. It doesn't vibrate or make a sound when I get them. Anyone please know the solution to this? So far I'm loving the OP7Pro but I hate incomplete features and inconveniences like this.

Been looking at the 7 Pro as my S7 edge is just not working right anymore. Anyone switch from a s7 edge and can compare your thoughts from the switch?

OP7 Pro crashes the same way than my previous phone - Im at a loss here.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 06:12 AM PDT

I had a Google Pixel 1 XL for a few years now and was quite happy, the phone worked great for years. Until suddenly it had freeze screens that crashed & restarted the phone seemingly randomly every few minutes, sometimes in the boot screen even. Taking the Sim Card out seemingly fixed the problem for a while, but after a day or so the problem was back. After a refactor without any results I thought it must have been some kind of mainboard hardware issue and that its time to finally get a new phone. I thought I treat myself to the new OnePlus 7 Pro that everybody on the internet has been praising so highly.

Yesterday I received the OnePlus and it was working great, but after waking up today I found that my phone was turned off. So turned it back on, it froze and crashed on the boot screen. after it finally turned on it crashed every few minutes, exactly the same way my old Google Pixel would. Furthermore, it wouldn't detect both my Simcards anymore that I had inserted yesterday. Taking the Sim Cards out sadly didn't fix the crashes. What is going on?

My first thought was that maybe the Sim Card was faulty and somehow destroyed both my phones?

Contacting Support didn't help. They told me to refactor the phone. Which I did, but the problem still persisted. They also told me that the Sim Card causing the Phone to crash wasn't a known issue. Googling the problem showed no relevant results. My more hardware tech-savvy friends also didn't know what could cause it. I don't think this is a coincidence anymore, having the exact same problem on two phones in such a short time span is just not feasible.

What should I do? I could send in the Phone without finding the cause of the problem, but then what would prevent it from happening yet again? I will definitely get both of my sim cards replaced today. But I have no way of knowing if that is the root of the problem right now.

I'm not sure what to do now, I'm kind of desperate.

Did anybody here ever have a problem like this before? Please let me know

    Buying Oneplus 7 in Australia

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 02:37 PM PDT

How have people gone when buying Oneplus phones in Australia?

I've considered freight forwarding from the US, but that means I can only get the 7T.

Another option is grey importing from Asia, but I haven't a clue where to start with that. Has anyone had any experience with importers that they can suggest?

I know about checking the capability of the mobile bands depending on what model it is, but I'm just more interested in finding an importer for the minute.

    Thanks for any replies!

    Service plan garbage

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 05:28 PM PDT

I'll try to make a long story pretty short. I bought the OnePlus 7 Pro in mid May.

A few days ago, I smashed my phone in my car door. Still on, but screen blank/useless.

I had bought both the 6 month screen protection and the 12 month damage protection from OnePlus.

I submitted a claim and got a shipping label, shipped it back and received confirmation that is was received.

They want $250 for repairs, I'm out of warranty.

I called customer service to fix this obvious problem, and they said that I had "never activated the service plan through the OnePlus app."

I fucking activated the service plan when I paid $130 for the service plan.

I'll never buy another product from this company.

OP7pro suddenly stops, black screen and have to fastboot to get it back

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 03:44 PM PDT

Hey all, I've had my 7 pro for 2-3 months now, and I have not updated to Android 10 yet and Im on 9.5.13. The issue Im having is really weird, and I haven't been able to find to many resources on why its happening. The most recent case I was using Boost, working fine, switch between apps, all good. But then it completely locks up. Cant scroll, no gestures work, volume up down dont do anything, lock wont do anything, no vibrations, completely stuck. To resolve it I just turn it off, and fastboot it as thats the only thing that seems to fix it. Any ideas whats causing this? Thanks for your help!

How to buy unlocked OP 7Pro?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 10:44 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

My friend that lives in US is returning to Brazil (where I live).

I'm wondering if I could buy an OnePlus 7Pro at the official OP store and send to his house before he leaves.

Is it unlocked? Does the american version work in other countries?

There is any OP store in US besides the online version where he could buy it unlocked? Does any carrier sell OP cellphones? And if it does, does it sell them unlocked?

    thanks in advance

As this bundle is not in stock, what other charger and cord can I purchase for my 6T that will allow the same quickness when charging it? Thank you.

Anyone tried this KEZiHOME card slot case for the OP7 Pro?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 04:06 PM PDT

Here's the link, I like the idea of card slot cases as I like to go out without a wallet, and I'm able to keep my ID (I'm quite young looking) in the case without having to take it off and on all the time. Was just wondering if anyone here has one already and can let me know about the quality, as it's quite cheap, thanks :)

Also are there any other card slot cases? I don't like folding cases and there's loads of them for iPhone, just none for OnePlus

My OnePlus 7 Pro shutoff on it's own and I couldn't turn it back on.

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 06:41 PM PDT

Held the power button: nothing, plugged it in: nothing. Held power + Volume up and it rebooted. It was just sitting on the table, not being used when this happened. I read an article that this is a rare issue with some users? I'gvfe had it for a few months now, and this is the first time it's happened. Is there a fix or any word of a patch in the works?

    Pissed and venting...

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 05:55 PM PDT

Long time oneplus user, I've used the 3, 5t, 6t, and currently 7 pro. I preordered the 7 pro at launch and have been using it on verizon pre paid since launch. Monday I attempted to switch to Visible after they confirmed my imei was compatible. This was on android 10. Long story, it didn't work. I tried to go back to the confimed working version of 9.5.13 but couldn't find step by step instructions to do so. So I then attempted to port back to verizon. Two days later and over 6 hours with verizon, no service. I finally swapped sims with my gf's cricket samsung note 10+. oneplus good on cricket and samsung good on verizon. Scheduled an 2000 appointment with oneplus to remote in and troubleshoot. 2000 came and went. Contacted voice and chat support, just excuses. I'm super pissed that I have no service and they don't seem to care. My assumption is just that they downgrade my device and it will work. As a long time supersupporter, I'm probably going to move on from the company

    New OP7 slow LTE ATT?

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 05:21 PM PDT

I recently picked up a GM1900 from Amazon. Everything seems fine, aside from 2 issues - VoLTE audio quality sounds kind of low, and my LTE speeds are pretty bad. Like 4mbps max up and down.

From what I understand, the only LTE band missing for ATT is 14, with 12 and 17 being the primary ones. I'm connected to band 2 in my area. I'm now discovering that the 1900/International version is actually separate from the Global (1903) version, but don't all versions of this phone support the same bands? What might be the reason for the slow speed?

Also, it's via 3rd party seller fulfilled by Amazon. I should be good in case of returns, right?

Canada, OnePlus 7 Pro, SMS stuck on 'sending'

    Posted: 02 Oct 2019 08:10 AM PDT

Hey redditors, I'm having a weird issue with my SMS with my messages being stuck on 'sending'. Calls and receiving texts are fine, but sending is where is problem is. It very inconsistent as well, it works for a little, then stops, works and stops. Restarting the phone, disabling wifi/data, and aeroplane mode sometimes fixes it, but rarely does.

    Android 10. Stable.
