Windows wont update/cant open programs Posted: 03 Sep 2019 03:39 AM PDT I will start from the beginning. I updated my computer about 2 or so weeks ago (I believe it was windows update 1903 or something?) But for some reason after the update I couldnt get my steam games to work. I then rolled my system back to a previous version (I believe its 1790 or something?) And the games worked fine, no big deal. Fast forward to today, my computer shuts down at 2am while I'm mid game (totally my fault, I forgot I had a system schedule process to shut down at said time), so I turned it back on and suddenly I cant play games again. Whenever I click on a game it gives me something about "the side to side configuration is wrong". So I tried updating windows back to 1903, but every time I try to update it, it fails and gives me some sort of error that looks like (0000008X800) or similar to that. So I try to trouble shoot the windows update, and it says it cant fix it. I finally give up and say screw it, and try to completely reset my PC, but it tells me "cant find the recovery environment" So I try to create a recovery USB drive, but when I download the media tool (or whatever its called) and open it, it gives me the "side to side configuration is wrong" error again. I have no idea what to do, as none of the windows "back up" systems are even working, not even the factory reset. Any help would be very very appreciated. If you dont know what to do about this either, does anyone know how to completely wipe a drive from the Asus ROGSTRIX bios ? I couldn't figure that out. [link] [comments] |
Unable to Install Windows 10 1903 update to laptop Posted: 03 Sep 2019 08:33 AM PDT I was wondering what everyones experience was like with installing the 1903 update? I think i have tried just about every tip and trick going, as well as chatting to Microsoft on 3 separate occasions to no avail, every-time the Installation fails once 100% is reached. This is the same whether using the inbuilt updater, media creation tool, installing from the setup.exe in the ISO or the Windows Update Tool. Microsofts last suggestion was to just clean install which i really rather not do! [link] [comments] |

Macbook Pro late 2008 AppleUsbHostOvercurret loop Posted: 02 Sep 2019 08:44 PM PDT I'll try to provide as much info about this problem as possible, I'm using a MacBook pro late 2008 15 inch. Recently the MacBook has been extremely slow and now refuses to boot past the apple logo. If I look at the shell (I think that's what it's called) With CMD+S It will boot like normal until it hits a message that says "AppleUSBHostPort::interruptOccurred: overcurrent detected with port status 0x4000", This message will continue to loop until I shut the computer down. The MacBook has been sitting on a desk all week so I'm not sure how a USB port would've been physically damaged, Although all signs point to physical USB port damage. I've attempted both SMC and PRAM resets but neither worked. Booting to systems utilities via CMD+R just causes the "No drive found" Icon to flash and trying to boot to Mac OS just causes the mac to get caught in the USB error loop. The computer also seems to get extremely hot and I suspect this may be related to my problem. If anyone has any ideas to try other then just replacing the board please tell me. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Sep 2019 01:35 AM PDT So I'm trying to start a Crazycraft 3 server on Minecraft, then after a few mods load this message pops up. How do I fix this? [link] [comments] |
