Posted: 30 Aug 2019 10:57 AM PDT Warranty on my Mi 8 expired recently and it was slowing down. Time for a factory reset! Then I thought of trying the xiaomi.eu ROM that my local forum was hyping about. After using it for a week, I won't be looking back. Xiaomi.eu is better than stock in almost every way! Battery, GPS and Antutu. All better performance. So many options. Multiple choices of Always On clock faces. Way better stock camera app. App drawer! Is it better than Havoc, Pixel Experience, Ressurection etc.? That is not a relevant question. Xiaomi.eu ROM allows me to have the MIUI experience in a way I really want it. I bought a Mi 8 because I wanted a Xiaomi phone. I love how intuitive MIUI is. But if you prefer a discount Pixel on your Mi phone, there are ROMs for that. Xiaomi.eu team is doing something that no other community is doing. OnePlus fans don't maintain a ROM based on Oxygen OS. Same for Samsung. Thanks for reading. Thank you Xiaomi.eu team. TLDR. Xiaomi.eu ROM feels familiar, yet different in really good ways. [link] [comments]

Is it worth buying a K20 Pro now ? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 09:27 PM PDT Been looking into buying a K20 Pro to replace my Xiaomi A2 Lite. Thing is... Are there new phones coming in september that could beat it for the same price ? I love the K20 Pro because of the sd 855/ pop up camera/ AMOLED/ in screen fingerprint. Is it a good time to buy now or should I wait ? [link] [comments]

Redmi K20 Pro Notifications not appearing Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:55 PM PDT Hello, I have a Redmi K20 Pro, live in Canada bought online from China. I have set all notifications and permissions on for my email apps, Yahoo, Outlook, and Gmail. I do not get any notifications from the three apps unless they are open. I have set permissions for them to autostart and work in the background, but yet I am not getting notifications for them without them being open. Is there any solution? [link] [comments]
Question about Global ROM on AliExpress resellers Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:18 PM PDT I'm looking into buying a Mi9T pro/K20 pro on AliExpress but many states they're the global ROM. Are those worth buying? Are those the 'official' global rom that gets updates or more likely a reseller rom. I'm not much a tech guy so rather not have to install any ROMs myself. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:02 PM PDT I seen a lot of EU buyers of the mi 9t but a need help on where's the best place to buy for an US buyer. There's amazon for $324 but is there a cheaper place? [link] [comments]

Xiaomi Phone with menu/home/back buttons Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:32 PM PDT So a couple of days ago, my mom's friend came over and she had a Xiaomi phone that was purchased just months ago. It didn't have the waterdrop notch, but it did have the menu/home/back buttons. I thought it was a Redmi Note 5, but those don't have the buttons. She didn't know what phone it was because it was a gift from a grandkid, and I didn't want to go snooping in the settings because that would be weird. Anybody know what phone it could have been? I want to get one for my mom so she doesn't have to deal with the swipe thing to get the home button. [link] [comments]
[MI 9T] Android and Androis OS asbolutely DESTROYING my battery (with facts and logic) Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:38 PM PDT Hi Y'all. I need some serious help. First of all, MI 9T battery is insane, to me it lasts two whole days before charging, but lately, something weird is happening. Android and Android OS spike to like 30% of battery draining and just obliterate my battery sucking like 60% in one hour and overheating my phone. IDK what the hell is the system doing but it IS doing something to heat my phone and drain my battery. What can I do? [link] [comments]
MIUI optimizations to this day. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 04:00 AM PDT Recently got my MI 9T and I've been more than happy with it, but I'm always looking for ways to enhance the experience on my devices. I've read abut this MIUI optimization settings on the developer options, but most of the threads about it are 2 years old (some newer, some even older). So, at this day and age, with the current state of Miui 10, is it worth it to set it off? I've noticed that with it on, I can't seem to set battery optimizations on Gmail and the look of certain status pages change to stock Android ones. But I haven't seen any concrete evidence that turning them off fixes any issues or creates others. What have you guys found about them in your new or recently upgraded devices? I'm currently running stock global, if that matters. [link] [comments]
How to unlock bootloader on Redmi Note 7? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:16 PM PDT I know there're lots of guides out there but I think something's wrong with my setup. This is what I did: Enable developer options, allow USB debgging on phone: Done applied for mi unlock: Done loaded mi unlock tool on PC, installed drivers: Done logged into Mi Unlock tool on PC: Done Now when I press volume down and power on the phone, it goes into a screen that shows a cute guy opening an android and the word "FASTBOOT", and stops there. Is this correct? I then connect to the PC via a USB cable, and the Mi Unlock tool still says "not connected to phone". But I can hear the sound of a connection when i plug in the USB cable. [img]https://i.imgur.com/EmVylOY.jpg[/img] I tried running "Adb devices" on the command prompt and it shows nothing connected when in fastboot. However, if I reboot the phone into normal mode, running "adb devices" on the PC says there is a device attached. [img]https://i.imgur.com/zU9uTFk.jpg[/img] So my guess is there's something wrong with the fastboot. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:09 PM PDT Hey guys, just got ahold of my Mi 9T today and I've been messing around setting.it up, exploring etc. I was just talking to a friend and I accidentally long pressed on the text, bringing up the mini copy/paste menu, only to realise that I couldn't see anything, none of the options, just a blank rectangle. I have Dark Mode on,and when I disable it, that mini menu works fine, but I don't want to disable Dark Mode, I fell in love with it instantly. What can I do? Have any of you guys encountered that on a Mi 9T or in general? [link] [comments]
Redmi note 7 survived water drop Posted: 30 Aug 2019 12:56 PM PDT i dropped my redmi note 7 in the shower (long story, but essentially i have bad drainage and i left it in a towel and forgot about it) and it survived! there's a few issues however like the background changes itself? maybe it has to do with a custom font i installed? but props to the rn7 took that fall like a champ. What pre-made battery would work with the Xiaomi M365. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:53 PM PDT I know it must be a 36V, but what other attributes would be used to identify a battery that will extend the distance of the scooter? e.g., 36V 20Ah lithium ion Battery? I want to add an additional battery to the scooter so it doubles+ the distance of the stocked scooter. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:43 PM PDT I run a dated redmi note 4x and miui does this thing where it auto downloads updates for the mi apps that i rarely use Instead of just disabling that setting (since it ends up going back to undo it anyways) do you guys know some methods to fully remove some bloat? Mi Notebook Pro (2019, MX250) Creaking Display Hinge? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 02:48 PM PDT Hey all, my Mi Notebook Pro creaks when I open the display, and even lightly press on it/lightly bend it. It is brand new, (two weeks, maybe three weeks old) so I'm not sure what might be the cause. I'm not even sure if it's the hinge itself that is causing this - the creaking always happens at the start of any movement, then stops even when returned to the original position. Is there anything I could do before RMAing it? Does yours do it too? is this even normal? Many thanks, JustAFellow [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:33 PM PDT Today, I measure power consumption on original charger provided with Mi 9SE, it seems the output voltage is only 7V with the current less than 2A, that supply the total 12W power. Definitely, the measurement doesn't match specification of QC3.0 with maximum 18W power. Is there anyone has same result with me? Or I need to change some software settings to gain maximum specs? What should I do when I get my Mi 9T ? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:11 PM PDT Hello guys, tomorrow I'll get my Xiaomi Mi 9T and I'm wondering is there anything I should do first as I set it up ? For example download any update, remove any bloatware, disable any useless feature or whatever. Thanks for your help ! [link] [comments]
Very skeptical of the note 8 pro Posted: 30 Aug 2019 01:52 PM PDT I'm really wanting the Note 8 Pro but I'm very skeptical of the specs. I can't see any downside whatsoever especially due to cost. My phone currently was twice as much, has half the features, and worse specs in every way. What am I missing here? While I'm asking here, I'll ask a bit more questions as well. I only see it listed on aliexpress. Is this legit? I'm under the impression that it isn't released yet. Will it be for sale in the US? I'd love to have this phone. Where can I legitimately purchase this phone and have it able to be unlocked? Does it run on android? I am getting conflicting answers online. [link] [comments] |
