Posted: 14 Aug 2019 10:54 AM PDT Seems like other mid-range lineups, especially Samsung A/M-series are pushing the battery boundary in the same price category as Xiaomi. Heck the other day I found the Galaxy A40s for $200 with a 5000mah battery. Other companies like Motorola, Vivo, Oppo, Asus and others are following suit offering phones with 4500-5000 mAh batteries. Besides the Mi Max and original Mi Mix it seems like Xiaomi isn't too keen to push past 4000mah. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Aug 2019 06:13 PM PDT So I just bought this phone yesterday and so far is very satisfied with it. But the front facing camera always stuck and have to reopen the camera 3-4 times to pop it out. Is it a hardware issue or a software issue? [link] [comments]

MI A2 Lite, double tap screen to wake has stopped working. Posted: 14 Aug 2019 08:33 PM PDT Not sure if this happened before the most previous update but it definitely has stopped working recently. Its a bit annoying because idk why it has stopped working now, I used to be able to double tap the screen and it would wake and I get check notifications etc. Anyone else had this issue or got a fix? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2019 02:30 PM PDT After breaking my iphone 6s and I'm in need of a budget phone. I was about to purchase a redmi note 7 after seeing some reviews on youtube. I made a call to my carrier T-Mobile and they were unable to tell me whether the phone would work on their network without the imei number. After some research on this sub it looks like it's not compatible, putting me back to square one of looking for a phone. Someone had mentioned mi 8/9 would work with T-Mobile. The 9 is a bit out of my price range would 8 still be worth it to buy. Any other advice or suggestions would be highly appreciated. I'm also willing to change carriers if it's possible to get the Note 7 working at all. [link] [comments]

Anyone removed weather app from Miui using adb? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 09:33 PM PDT I heard that it causes bootloop. I removed it from phone using adb. And all my data are set in my phone. I don't want to lose my data with a bootloop, is there anyway I can install that back other than factory reset using adb? Or have anyone removed that and using without problem? [link] [comments]
The Mi 9t Pro - Tons of Questions Posted: 14 Aug 2019 05:34 PM PDT I live in the US and am wondering if the European Mi 9t Pro would work here. If so, where would be the best place to order it? I will probably want to have the option to return it. I also am trying to switch from iOS to Android. Is this phone high up on the flagship ladder? I know Samsung is the biggest Android seller. Basically, will I be disappointed coming from and iPhone to the Mi 9t Pro? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2019 02:29 PM PDT So I bought the k20 pro off ali express from a Chinese seller. It came flashed with a global rom and the boot loader unlocked. Just yesterday I remember reading up on how it's possible for an OTA update that will install and brick my phone because of the rom. Is this true by any chance? Has anyone dealt with this in the past and is there a way to resolve it ? (if required). [link] [comments]
PSA: redmi k20/ mi 9t use single lane UFS 2.1 Posted: 14 Aug 2019 05:42 AM PDT Not dual lane like OnePlus or even POCOPHONE. Single lane cripples the performance of UFS 2.1 to on par of UFS 2 about 500MB/s read and write about 200MB/s give or take . Don't know about k20 pro. Also snapdragon 730 doesn't support dual lane transfer and snapdragon 710 doesn't support dual lane also according to realme. Tldr: mi9t or k20 have technically UFS 2.1 but single lane which brings the speed on par UFS 2. [link] [comments]
How do I remove the app's white background on redmi note 7? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 03:56 PM PDT I just bought a redmi note 7 after having A4 for 2 years, I had the same Issue on the A4 and I solved it but it was a really long time ago and I can't remember how to do it again, I looked for youtube guides but they didn't help, any idea how can I fix it? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 03:56 AM PDT I don't want to send a link an advertise but you can find the 64GB module for 200$ and 128GB for 220$ at Banggood. I guess the phone is very much a failure in terms of sales. Shame really. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Aug 2019 06:58 PM PDT so can you guys explain to me why or how my micro sd card on my redmi 7 keeps like "resetting " when i power off the device?, like the data just gets re-readed and put in place when other devices they keep it when it belongs. An example would be instagram, i download a photo of 2019 and its stored on the internal storage and apears first than the 2017 sd card photos, reboot the phone and now its all pushed down by the old photos on the sd card [link] [comments]
Redmi Note 5 Pro currently on Miui 9, should I upgrade to Miui 10 or go for a custom ROM? Posted: 14 Aug 2019 02:43 PM PDT I'm currently on Miui Version 9.5.17.0 (Global Stable ROM) which has worked well last year with no problems, but I'm starting to notice that my RN5P is randomly "crashing" at 10-24 hours intervals and my mobile gaming apps are slowing down heavily. I've tried tracking down the lag issue, but I can't find the reason so I'm chalking it up to MIUI 9 beginning to fall apart after not updating for so long. Fortunately since my current MIUI version seems like it doesn't have Anti-Rollback Protection feature enabled (ARP started from Stable ROM V 9.5.19 and onwards if the online information is correct), I have a choice between upgrading to MIUI 10 or installing a custom ROM. For any RN5P / whyred users out there running MIUI 10 or any custom ROM, how is your Note 5 Pro performing currently? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Aug 2019 11:09 AM PDT I'm planning on buying Pocophone F1. It's been a while since launch, so are there any Pocophone users on this subreddit? I'd love to hear about your experience with this phone. Any problems, bugs or glitches you have encountered? I'm switching from Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini and that phone often had random shutdowns that drain battery to 0%. Does Poco have any similar problems? [link] [comments]
Just got my third Xiaomi, the K20. I am frustrated and in need of help from you guys. Posted: 14 Aug 2019 10:54 AM PDT I have used Mi A1 and then Mi A2. No bad words about them, they were excellent and cheap. When I saw K20 I was starstruck so I got it. I never anticipated I would not receive any notifications. I'm chatting with my friends and family on WhatsApp and Instagram but nothing shows up. I checked for a solution in Google and it asked me to do two things:
I still get no pop-up and no notification icons on top. Can anyone point me to the right direction so I can tackle this issue? Maybe third party apps and so on? I know about rooting in theory (never done it) but I was looking for less invasive tools first. [link] [comments] |
