The school's tech support person is not helpful, wants us to just buy a new $1000 document camera. That's half my budget and out of the question. The avatar is also displaying a "W" instead of the first letter of my first name. I noticed that my name in the personal info settings was changed to Weird Avocado as well. I usually get around 35-80mbps down so that should be good enough for 1080p let alone 720p! We don't have net neutrality here either. Whenever I watch a youtube video it goes for 5 seconds and then it stops and its extremely infuriating(on my phone). I watched netflix and it was perfectly fine. Full HD video, no pauses at all. | Posted: 22 Aug 2019 03:45 AM PDT I recently bought a new wireless internet adapter as my previous one gave in after years of usage and I have no option of using an ethernet cable as this is univeristy accommodation connection. It works fine with Leauge of Legends and I'm able to play at stable 20 ping with very few interruptions however when I try to play overwatch, Dota2 ,CS:GO or Left 4 dead or any other online game it just keeps disconnecting. I have managed to connect to Overwatch and Dota after wrestling with the disconnects for a long time but once I finally got into a game it was unplayable. Keep in mind its not just the game that disconnects when I run it, the entire function of wifi just doesn't work and it struggles to reconnect for a short time whilst I try to connect to any of those games. The wireless adapter did come with a drivers CD which I have installed correctly to my knowledge. So, Nvidia released the new driver that I am downloading right now. I have uninstalled the old driver and as it will take 15mins to download (slow internet ofc), so I started playing COD MW Remastered. | 2nd monitor has a messed up res Posted: 22 Aug 2019 12:35 AM PDT Ok so basically i tried changing my second monitors resolution to 1920x1080 but it didnt fit so I changed it back to its 1400x900 reccomended size and now it doesnt fit. oddly though, when I press win + p and select second monitor only all of a sudden the resolution goes back but since i enjoy using both monitors I cant do that. | Updated B450 Tomahawk Bios to latest version, and RAM frequency is showing incorrectly. Posted: 22 Aug 2019 04:06 AM PDT I have a B450 Tomahawk, Ryzen 5 2600 and Corsair Vengeance DDR4 LPX 16GB 3200Mhz. I was previously running bios version 7C02v15, and with XMP enabled my ram ran at the correct frequency. However, I today purchased a Ryzen 3700x, and before installing the new processor updated the motherboard bios to the latest version (7C02v1A), which is compatible with the new gen 3 ryzen processors The latest bios has updated the bios to a new version which is called Click BIOS (GSE-Lite), and the settings are slightly different, including XMP (so this may well be the crux of my issue, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right). The problem that I am having is that the RAM is not running at the correct frequency, no matter whether I leave A-XMP disabled, or set it to profile 1, or profile 2. When I select profile 2, according to the bios the ram is set at 3200Mhz. However, when I boot into windows 10, CPU-Z shows completely the wrong ram frequency. I have tried the second latest BIOS (7C02v19) and I'm still having the same issue. FTR I am yet to install my Ryzen 3700x, and am doing this entirely off the 2600. [link] [comments]  | ||||||||||||

One machine i set up a gmail account on and everything worked fine, and tried it on the next machine but mostly all of the folders have 'we didn't find anything to show here' on them. | Problem with user account login Posted: 22 Aug 2019 03:53 AM PDT Solution: to log in without having to re-select correct account and enter pin Problem: I have two accounts listed when I log in, the first, and one that windows tries to log in to on boot, "joshu" (forgot to add the "a" when I created it I guess...whoops.) This one I can't log in as. It's not listed as an account in Windows, it's just the name of my user folder. The only account I have listed in Windows is "Joshua" which lets me log in with the set pin/password. I did something in the past which tried to fix it, but the only thing which happens now is I boot, I'm told I can't log in with the account, and I switch over to the other which I can log in with. It's TONOR Professional Studio Condenser Microphone. And it wanted my headphones to it, so I did it. And when I was talking with my friend while playing a videogame, the stand fell of, I probably poorly put it on since I was so excited, and everything was working well, because we were in the mdidle of the game, I had to play with my microphone stand on my desk, it was working, very good. so when I put it back on, I think that it made my microphone USB " break "? so I called my friend and told him I have to stop playing. ( I didnt tell him why because I didnt want to try and do something and make it worse, and yes, I don't trust my friends. ) So basically, I need help, because now I can't use my microphone. ( Basically you put the usb in, and then you put the microphone in one of the holes and the headphone in the other. ) I checked my usb and nothing was seen broken.I checked if there was a piece in the usb plug, and there was nothing, I knew it probably be how I put my microphone in the stand and somehow broke it, but I still tried a few internet tutorials like " Oh just uninstall it, oh just update everything, oh just disable and enable it, etc... ) Nothing was wrong. So I wonder if you guys could help me? Would be really helpful. And please don't say that I trust people on the internet but not my friends, it's true I trust him, but he is not really the type of fixing tech guy, he is more of " Turn it off and turn it on " guy. | Posted: 22 Aug 2019 03:42 AM PDT So, I posted previously about an issue with video signals. After some excellent advice, I got my PC working. Hours of happy installing of games and playing said games later, I said, "Hey, let's install the Adrenaline drivers again." It went black during the install process. To be clear, I'd been playing Sekiro and Remnant beforehand for hours, been away from PC for about 30 minutes, then came back and tried to install. I doubt heat is an issue. Now, PC doesn't POST. Keyboard doesn't light up, though mouse seems to get power. Mouse is actually plugged into the keyboard (the Logitech mechanical, G413 I think) Doesn't give video to anything. No beeps, but apparently Phanteks doesn't include speakers in their cases, so I wouldn't imagine I'd get them. Case is getting power, which I know thanks to a helpful RGB light on the side that stays on, but the light on the actual motherboard will light up like it's powering on, stay there for a second, and then just turn off. I've tried it on two TVs - I don't have an actual monitor. But it doesn't deliver graphics of any kind, let alone load an operating system. Did I just murder my video card bios or something? If so, how do I unmurder it? This probably sounds pathetic, but this was the first luxury I've bought myself in years and I'm not having a good time right now. Edit: Forgot to mention before I hit post - previously tried to install my Radeon drivers, it failed midway due to the computer not displaying properly, but when I restarted it actually had drivers but no software behind them. Posted: 22 Aug 2019 03:41 AM PDT Everytime I join a group video call on Facebook messanger (android) the call's audio goes through my phone's (galaxy s7) speakers rather than my bluetooth earphones. Everytime I press the button to switch the audio to my earphones it instantly switches back to the speakers. My GPU is the Gigabyte Radeon RX 570. On the Device Manager there is a ! triangle and when i attempt to update it from there i get an error code 43. when i download drivers from the AMD website i struggle to find the specific graphics card as it is not listed. | In need of master Windows 7 Redditors Posted: 22 Aug 2019 03:32 AM PDT Abbreviations: M32 = Asus M32AD PC that I've had for years BPC = Built PC Hardware: Mobo = Asus m5a78l-m/usb3 CPU = AMD FX-4100 GPU = MSI NVidia GTX-970 RAM = Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8) HDD = Western Digital WD1003FZEX (Win 10) M32 HDD = Toshiba DT01ACA100 (Win 7) So I built a computer from parts I bought on letgo. Everything works great, I tested it with the western digital HDD that has windows 10 on it (which I am going to format for extra storage). My problem here is, I tried to plug my M32 HDD into this new hardware (new to me, I know it's all really old hardware) and obviously the Windows 7 install doesn't like that as expected. So I boot the Windows Repair USB I made and try to repair. It says "windows found problems with your computers startup options. Do you want to apply these repairs and restart your computer?". When I click view details I get this: https://pastebin.com/M6CHqSmm So I click "repair and restart" and get the message "Failed to save startup options". I close out of that and I have 2 options. 1: Select an OS to repair (none show up, even after DISKPART activation) or click load drivers and then install drivers for your hard disks (don't even know what drivers it wants from me). 2: Restore using a system image (which would keep me in the new hardware reboot cycle) I've tried the guide here: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html But that just messed up my boot manager and I had to fix that. Also "bootrec /rebuildbdc" throws an error. So at this point my only thought is to get the drivers it wants. But I don't know what drivers it could possibly want. I can use the M32 HDD in the M32, so I can download drivers if I need to, then put the HDD back into the BPC. Other than that I'm at a loss on what to do next. My only goal is to get the Windows 7 install to work with the BPC while keeping all of my data. I don't have a product key to reinstall Windows 7 because the copy that came with the M32 is OEM.
