PSA: If you're going to buy a phone, get it from Amazon and not OnePlus.

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 11:30 AM PDT

Quick heads up, If you're not in the mood for a rant, skip this post or go to the end where I wrote a tl;dr.

Ordered a 7 pro, best and most expensive available model. Arrived with a cracked back glass. It's now been over a week that the phone has been sitting at their service center, and I've gotten hardly any updates. I have to be the one to go and ask them for updates. Then, I get "well look into it for you, give us 24-48 hours" EVERY SINGLE TIME I ASK. I have been going back and forth for the past month with them about it. They have told me that I didn't report the damage within 5 days, another agent said I didn't report within 72 hours, another agent said 24 hours. Funny thing is I told them about it within 48 hours. It's supposed to come with a 12 month warranty, and their website even states you can return a phone for any reason within 15 calendar days.

They expect me to pay for the repair or just get it sent back how it is. How is that fair? How does that make sense, that I spend over $1000 of my hard earned money, get a broken product, and now I have to pay for the repair??? Are you kidding me? What an incredibly insulting way to treat your customer base. I'm not the only one who's had issues getting a replacement because of broken glass (seems to be a semi-problematic issue) and definitely not the only one to experience beyond horrendous service.

While I had the phone, it was awesome and I quickly fell in love. Part of the reason I'm so upset is because I just want the phone back, and this shouldn't have taken this long... Honestly, it's hard to even want to get a refund and buy another 7 Pro at this point, because their customer service shows they really don't give a shit about their customers, and once they get a sale that's all that matters. Difficult to want to use a product from a company that's treated me so poorly. Might just get an iPhone for their apple care. This experience has shown me how important good customer service can be. Here I am a month after my purchase, out $1000 and no phone. Dispute has been started with my credit card company.

If you want a OnePlus, PLEASE do yourself the favor of ordering from Amazon or somewhere that offers a solid return policy.

Tl;dr - OnePlus 7 pro arrived with a cracked back. Phone has been at their service center for a week, I've been told numerous things from different agents. Nobody will replace the phone. They expect me to pay for repair. Had to start a dispute with my CC company. Order somewhere else.

OnePlus twitter suddenly asking when was the last time you made a phone call

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 03:02 AM PDT

I was long overdue for an upgrade. Originally planned to get the Note 10+ 5G but didn't because Verizon cancelled my order randomly and other reasons but I am definitely happy with my choice.

When clicking on a Snapchat notification, my OP6 inadvertently screenshots.

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 01:48 PM PDT

When I get a notification for a Snapchat message, and I click on the notification, it opens up the text interface as it's supposed to, but then says that I took a screenshot in the chat. I didn't, and I checked my camera roll and nothing's there. When I enter through the app, swiping right from the camera, there's no issue. Just through notifications. Anybody else have this issue/a solution?

Oneplus 7 pro wide angle lens not working

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 03:20 PM PDT

So I updated to oxygen 9.5.11 and I can't get my super wide angle lens to work no matter what I do. I can only use the telephoto and 3x zoom. Is this a software bug I can fix?

OnePlus Switch backups compatible across phones?

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 07:02 PM PDT

Guys, I'm planning to switch phones with my mom. I have a OP5, she has a 7 Pro. My question is, does the backup option in the OnePlus Switch app restore only on that phone or can I transfer the backup to the new phone and restore it on there?

    Bluetooth audio issue (OP7Pro)

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 02:34 PM PDT

I connected my OP7 Pro to my 2011 Ram 1500 (if that matters) via Bluetooth for the first time today so I could still listen to my music while charging the phone. Playing saved songs on Google music, the audio would play like it was sped up, maybe 1.5-2x fast. Google music doesn't have any settings that I can find that would help. I had my OP3T connected to the same truck before, and while the sound quality was sub-par, it usually worked without problems. Is this an issue with the phone or the truck?

    Capacitive buttons no longer working

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 05:37 PM PDT

I recently replaced my headphone jack on my Oneplus 3t, the operation went smoothly and the headphone jack is working. I made sure to connect everything properly and that the phone still turns on but a couple days after I noticed that the capacitive buttons were no longer working as well as they were. It would take multiple presses for them to register, or I had to press on a specific spot or they would just straight up not work which has been the case as of late. I don't think it was the part replacement but at the same time im not too sure.

    Thanks!

Pause menu in Netflix not closing

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 01:40 PM PDT

This is a pretty minor problem to have but when I go on Netflix and start watching a show, I can't tap out of the pause overlay that comes up and instead have to wait quite a few seconds for it to disappear. Is there a setting to change this?

Pop-up camera on the Oneplus 7 pro

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 01:38 PM PDT

Just curious if someone have had any issues with the pop-up camera on the OnePlus 7 pro? I remember that many reviewers thought that it could be an issue with the phone when it was released. Now I wonder if they were right or wrong.

Google chrome keeps getting enabled by itself.

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 08:21 AM PDT

I own a pixel 3 xl and oneplus 7 pro, I have disabled google chrome on both the phone but it keeps getting enabled itself. Every time my phone is connected to wifi, it automatically updates google chrome. I suffer this issue on Oneplus 7 pro only not on pixel 3. Any solution?

    15 seconds of inactivity

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 05:03 PM PDT

I have a OP5 and I am SO TIRED of it constantly defaulting back to turning the screen off after 15 seconds of inactivity. I set it to 1 minute... It goes back eventually, I set it to 2 minutes... Same thing. Dammit. Anyone got any ideas? Yes I've got root if necessary.

Issues with headphone jack on Oneplus5

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 10:55 AM PDT

    Hello all.

I have been a proud owner of a One Plus 5 for almost two years now. I still absolutely love my phone and don't have any real desire to get a new phone, especially due to it being one of the last phones with a headphone jack that I still use on a daily basis.

However, for the last two months I have had an issue where my headphone keep falling out of the headphone jack with only the tiniest of pulling, sometimes just the gravity of the cord is enough.

Has anyone had this problem? And if so, what did you do to fix the headphone jack. I'm fairly confident my phone is out of warranty.

    Thanks!

Warp charging at low speed with Dash cable

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:05 AM PDT

So, I just bought a dash charger for my office with 1.5m cable which I'm using with my warp charger at home (need a longer than 1m cable and the provided one in the box is only 1m) and after reading about dash charging cables I was expecting to get warp charging without any problems. Well it shows warp charging on my screen but only goes to 1.5-1.6A which is bad.

Did you guys use a warp charger with a dash cable and what are your results?

    Nintendo Switch & Bullets Usb-c

    Posted: 29 Aug 2019 08:39 AM PDT

I just got a switch and realized that I would have to start carrying around 3.5mm headphones again.

But, after testing it out I realized that the usb-c versions of the bullet earbuds work with the switch.

According to other forums, usb-c headphone support is mixed, so it's nice to know the ones I bought for the OP7pro work.
