| Posted: 16 Aug 2019 07:26 AM PDT I use Google News quite a lot, and I like that it learns what I'm interested in from my reading habits. Unfortunately it currently only lets you have one region and language activated, and I would like news in both Swedish and English (UK). Is there a decent alternative that I can use for UK news in English? Or even better, one that supports multiple languages and regions at once? I'm not looking for an RSS reader because I find them a bit overwhelming, especially when you end up with hundreds of unread articles (I know it's a bit weird to find that stressful, but yeah). Photo Editor Pro is in top 10 of all Photography apps in Google Play Store USA although it has a very bad reputation among users as it can be seen in reviews. It's been named as "Cheetah Mobile of photo editing apps" by a Reddit user here. My question is: HOW on Earth is this app in Top 10 ranked higher than VSCO, Shutterfly, Amazon Photos, Adobe Lightroom etc? I've been told by a friend that they're Chinese and use a lot of black marketing to disrupt ASO. I am quite inexperienced in that matter so I would really appreciate if someone could help me understand this so I can sleep peacefully at night. I have an S9 and the adaptive brightness is a nice feature but never gets it quite to how I like it. So, I used the same amazing icon pack for around 5/7 years, it's called ClickUI and it's by Kxnt but unfortunately it hasn't been updated since Feb 2017; the developer started working on some other projects and I respect that but the pack still had a lot of users that stick to it even with the lack of support for more recent apps. About this I love how minimalistic the rounded icons are, the pastel colors and the shadows. Must be able to set several pill reminders at differ t time intervals. Doesn't matter if its paid, but would prefer one time payment vs subscription models. Thanks for any recommendations. Edit:also would like to be able to log and track a myriad of vital signs and if possible free text entry as well. If that's better done with a second app that's perfectly acceptable too. | Bouncer not remembering comes off aps Posted: 16 Aug 2019 03:00 AM PDT Everytime I open an app, the app permission goes up. After I've granted it again, bouncer 'toast' message notifies that it will be removed. Is there a way I don't have to do this for every app? It's very annoying to do this for every app launch. Multiple permissions for most apps. I've checked remember choices in bouncer settings. I'm on pixel 2 with latest Android. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]  |

| [AdAway] Anybody else suddenly getting a lot of ads in Chrome? Posted: 15 Aug 2019 06:11 PM PDT I feel like all of a sudden in the last day or two I've been getting all the ads in Chrome. I'm using AdAway 4.2.8, and Lite Mode is disabled in Chrome settings. They're mostly the targeted ads with the little blue triangle and x in the top right corner, plus some scrolling video ads. I won't complain too much since it did actually clue me in to a great deal on cigars today, but I'd still like to be blocking. Looks like I probably need to make an add-on hosts file? UPDATE: For anybody who might have this issue, AdAway has a DNS monitoring feature. I ran it and loaded a page (this page actually) then checked the log it creates, which includes a button to automatically ad the offending server to the hosts file. Reboot and done, looks like I'm back to normal. [link] [comments]  |
