[DEV] ColorBurst VR - My first VR project went live! Posted: 20 Aug 2019 06:42 AM PDT Hello everyone, Long time lurker here. I recently made my first VR game that hit the Play Store today! It's called ColorBreak VR. It works both with Google Cardboard, and by itself if you don't want to play it in VR. It's a hyper-casual game where you break objects that are the same color as you. You can download it from the PlayStore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.HillKingApps.colorBREAKVR I would love to hear any feedback, it's my first major release and I'm really excited, but nervous. If you enjoy it, I'd love feedback via rating it. Thank you all! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Aug 2019 12:24 AM PDT This app actually looks pretty functional and seems to have a lot of features. No mention of security or encryption though. Being Microsoft you should probably assume its wide open. It still isn't available in my country but it would be interesting to see who can access it now (outside of India). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.android.smsorganizer XDA Article: https://www.xda-developers.com/microsoft-sms-organizer-text-message-us-uk-autralia/ [link] [comments] |
Is there a keyboard or text expansion app that allows bulk word and shortcut imports? Posted: 20 Aug 2019 08:01 AM PDT This is why I'm not using the built in Android / Gboard / User Dictionary Manager method. Are there alternatives? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Aug 2019 06:14 AM PDT When you 'click' a type of file, Android has a setting which determines which app to call (for that particular file type). Better Open With, Default App Manager, and other apps attempt to control this, but where are the actual settings and can I see/modify myself? TIA [link] [comments] |
Looking for a keyboard whose size can be locked. Posted: 20 Aug 2019 06:03 AM PDT Hi all am looking for a keyboard app where once u fix the size u want it will lock in place. Currently using TouchPal which is great except it keeps resizing on it's own. [link] [comments] |
alternative Android Apps (transition from iOS) Posted: 20 Aug 2019 06:59 AM PDT I was an iPhone user (since iPhone 3GS), but decided to make the jump. but, there are still some apps I don't find the Android-alternatives. 1. Find My Friends (from Apple) I use this to track my family members, seemlessly. I just open the app, and it shows where my family members are. only 1st setup required, then all good to go. I tried Trusted Contacts from Google, it seems like it need permission from both parties each time to use. Not much of convenient. 2. Uniconsole It is a keyboard app that allows the user to save text templates (not text shortcuts). When to use the template, just activate the keyboard, and select. Just that. From what I've seen keyboards from Play Store, most of them are having the same function, but not the function I look for. Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
Looking for a time/routine/day management app. Posted: 20 Aug 2019 10:25 AM PDT An app that lets you plan your day by specific start and end time for events and just displays you your day summary in a widget so that you can visualise what your day looks like. Shouldn't have to be a time tracker that you have to start the timer to record your tasks. Because I'm mostly finding timers on play store. The nearest i could find is Sectograph but problem is it adds events directly to your Google Calendar, which makes the calendar events cluttered [link] [comments] |
Looking for recommendations for a music app Posted: 20 Aug 2019 09:44 AM PDT I've been using Rocket Player since 2015 and before that Google Play Music to play the rather large (10,000+) songs on my music library and while Rocket Player has served me well, I've ultimately been on the search on and off for a better music player that allows edits that actually save to the file on the system, auto detecting artwork... etc Anyone got any suggestions? AdShield - Ad blocker, No more ads & tracking Posted: 20 Aug 2019 12:13 PM PDT I just saw this app on the playstore which is strange A LOT? Anyone knows about this...anything. BTW it is on sale https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.plusnow.shield.stable&hl=en[link] [comments] |
Is their a app to make other apps use my gmail adress as a password? Posted: 20 Aug 2019 12:09 PM PDT The other day I got some great sugestions for apps to store passwords and fill them in. Are there apps to have other apps to use gmail as a login? What I'm looking for is instead of 99k paswords stored in lastpass, then going to say for example Amazon Shopping, or alexa, and having lastpassfill that in. To have a just point it to my gmail account? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Aug 2019 11:25 AM PDT I am not sure if this is the right sub, still, thought it would be worth checking My dad uses a 6 (almost) year old Nexus 5 phone and the standard Phone app to dial numbers. I don't know what changed but the app doesn't show the call times anymore. The call history just shows the numbers / contacts and not the time when the calls were made. In case of multiple calls, the app used to list the call times under the call history for each contact. This information was always available before something changed. Do you know if there is a setting that can bring this behavior back? Thank you [link] [comments] |
App that lets you transfer images frok SD card to Android Box, seperated my dates Posted: 20 Aug 2019 07:38 AM PDT I'm just looking for a simple app that will let me move the images from my DSLR's SD card to my Android Box. One that separates the images by dates from when they were taken. Is there a simple app that does this? I'm a hobbyist photographer and while my Macbook is dead, i'm looking to edit my images using my Android Box. I've tried Lightroom to transfer my images but it takes so long to transfer. I was going to use Lightroom to edit also but it looks like you have to pay a subscription to edit RAW images. One thing i like that Lightroom does is organise your images into the dates they were taken, so i'm looking for something else that does this. Edit: excuse the title typos, i typed this up quite fast using my phone! [link] [comments] |

ViPER4Android possible with USB-DAC? Posted: 20 Aug 2019 11:08 AM PDT Hey folks, have been using audio mods since I owned my first Galaxy S and can't think listening to music without them. Since more and more mobile brands abandon the 3.5mm jack and don't care about abysmal Bluetooth audio quality either, the only option is to use usb output with a external DAC. Not a fan of it though but what could go wrong, I thought. I was in pure despair after figuring out that ViPER does not support USB-DAC (at least not out of the box, it seem). I mean sound is more crisp and brighter, much clearer than on 3.5. But man, it lacks everything else. Bass has no depth, highs sound like mumbling in the distant. I got decent cans which work with 3.5 jack just fine but listening to default settings is just like torturing my ears with a screwdriver. Even if I listen to high res material, it just sound like absolute garbage. Can't enjoy music like this. So I would like to know: is it possible to have ViPER working with usb-c dac (in some way, and if yes, how) or any other solution to mod the sound output like with ViPER? My mobile will get replaced by a new one in a few days (Note 10) which is known for not having 3.5mm jack anymore. And since Bluetooth audio reasonably did not get any better since Note 4, I do not hope for any improvements on Samsung's newest flagship. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |

Trying to compile an android based program not apk Posted: 20 Aug 2019 10:58 AM PDT Hey Everyone, I am trying to compile this https://github.com/timwr/CVE-2016-5195 to use on my android device. I installed minGW-64 with all the support required as it has been over 14 years since I have sat and done any coding, however I wanted to have the cross platform support in case I wanted to try to get back into coding. This being said. It has been a very long time and I am not sure what I would need to use to compile this is gcc still the best to use? If so the arch on the tablet is Armv7 it states the instruction sets are armeabi-v7a and armeabi. I tried this last night C:\dirtycow>make dirtycow.c CreateProcess failure, error 2 * failed to start daemon * error: cannot connect to daemon CreateProcess failure, error 2 * failed to start daemon * error: cannot connect to daemon make: C:\dirtycow>gcc -o dirtycow.out dirtycow.c dirtycow.c:1:17: fatal error: err.h: No such file or directory #include <err.h> ^ compilation terminated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

the Android application"Snaptube" is it safe to use or not ? Posted: 20 Aug 2019 08:34 AM PDT Hey guys I was wondering if the Android application"Snaptube" is safe to use or not cause 1. It cannot be downloaded from the play store. 2. The Google play store always shows me a notification that this app may be harmful. This two reasons raised my curiosity if this app contains some sniffing tools or some spy things , I wanted to explore the source code of the app but i got lazy 😁 So to conclude if anyone of u finds something suspicious about this app let me know and if it's safe to use or not Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
Factory reset settings / Uninstalled mobile authenticator help Posted: 20 Aug 2019 03:37 AM PDT This is a long question that I hope someone can help me with.
What I need is access to the registration information from the Blizzard mobile authenticator from the Google Play Store. I.E. You buy a product and are given a key code that is sent to your email for future reference. [link] [comments] |
