OnePlus 7 Pro changes to 60Hz when using another browser than Chrome Posted: 01 Jun 2019 12:58 AM PDT Hi, so my OnePlus 7 Pro changes the refresh rate from 90 to 60Hz when using Microsoft Edge and Firefox. If I go into the menu of Firefox it goes back to 90, but once I open a website it drops to 60Hz again and stays there until I close the app or go to the menu again. I know the phone changes to 60Hz when watching video (hence why Instagram sometimes is 60Hz, tho it doesn't change back once it dropped even when the video is long over and there's only text) but why does it do that with Firefox and Edge? On Chrome everything works perfectly [link] [comments]

Just replaced my OP5 battery feels like new Posted: 01 Jun 2019 04:50 PM PDT [Story time] So it's been 2 years since I owned my OP5 and the battery was degrading heavily. I checked my battery health with the OnePlus diagnostic application to find out that my battery has degraded to 78% of its original capacity. I decided to take the plunge and attempt to repair my battery myself. Firstly, I don't recommend getting any ol battery from eBay. You have to keep in mind that this is a fast charging phone that uses a proprietary charging standard, so a cheap battery might overheat or even worse, explode. So I got my battery from iFixit and crossed my fingers that it was legit and luckily it was. I put the new battery in my phone and my God it feels brand new, I think I could probably hold out until the OnePlus 9 at this point. OnePlus 5 owners it's a good time to replace your batteries while it's still legit stock out there. [link] [comments]

Please help me, I’m so nervous. Please read this. Posted: 01 Jun 2019 06:28 PM PDT I installed android q beta 3 on my OnePlus 6t. I then found, as many people have, that that decision was a mistake. Mostly because my galaxy watch active would no longer pair with the galaxy wear app. I found that OnePlus has a page dedicated to downgrading to Android pie. I installed the file through google chrome on my phone. I then went on my windows laptop to move the zip file from the downloads folder to the main directory. I went to settings to upgrade locally and did so. I clicked reboot to install it. I then waited a minute or two and I saw the regular one plus boot screen for about half a second. Then another came up that read in yellow text" (!) BUILD VERSION and HW VERSION IS NOT MATCH! " https://imgur.com/gallery/QswRN6r It happens every time I reboot! It doesn't do anything when I hold the volume down and power at the same time. It doesn't show up in windows file explorer. Any advice is good advice. Please repost this or tell me if there is a better place to post to. Please help me. [link] [comments]
Slow Charging for OnePlus 7 Pro Posted: 01 Jun 2019 07:25 PM PDT Has anyone heard if OnePlus is going to fix the Slow charging issues that some users are facing? Warp 30 was a huge reason why I bought this phone and it takes me 1 Hour 22 Mins to charge my phone. 30W Charging should be much faster then this. [link] [comments]
OnePlus 7 Pro Dark Colors seem... off? Posted: 01 Jun 2019 07:21 PM PDT With auto brightness turned on, sometimes appear brighter than they should with a loss in resolution almost. I don't really know how to describe it, but it happens when I whip my phone out in the sun and auto brightness kicks in. It's most notable on things like Spotify's playing bar, or prompts in the dark theme. Anyone experiencing something similar? [link] [comments]
Would you recommend an used OP 3T for $160 over a Redmi Note 7? Posted: 01 Jun 2019 04:09 PM PDT Sorry if these type of posts aren't allowed. I'm saving money to buy a decent phone as I'll need one to work soon, but I have to pay a lot of stuff these months so I'm trying to save as much as I can. If you could help me choose, I would appreciate it a ton, thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jun 2019 11:23 AM PDT First they kept my package without moving it for an entire day. Then they scheduled delivery for Thursday and it never came. Scheduled delivery was changed to yesterday (Friday) and it even said it was on the truck for delivery, and it still never came. I called they said there was some problem with the barcode. They told me I could pick it up tomorrow morning (now today, this morning, Saturday). The rep on the phone explicitly said the facility would be open 9am to 5pm today. The website gave the same hours. The sign on the fucking door gave the same hours. And yet, they were closed. I called and that rep said they're always closed on Saturdays. I drove over an hour to get there. And no, I can't just wait until Monday because I'm going away for a week on Sunday and this should have been here days ago. Ugh. /Rant [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jun 2019 01:39 PM PDT So kinda having this dilemma. The OnePlus 7 Pro ticks all the boxes for me, AMOLED, NO notch, dual speaker's, stock android, etc. However, the glare issue is killing me! A device that comes close (without stock Android) is the Note 9. Here in my country it's even cheaper (100 euros) than the OnePlus. Can anyone tell me how the glare issue on the note 9 is? Also, how is battery life? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jun 2019 08:16 PM PDT I'm going to be returning this phone and holding on to my Pixel 2 XL until the Pixel 4 comes out. Just wanted to share the reasons why and compare it to my Pixel 2 XL. Battery life: In my experience I got worse battery life with the OP7 Pro. The massive screen is cool, but do I really need that? 4000mah is a big battery, but if it drains so fast it's not helpful to me. Yes you can warp charge it, but I don't want to carry a charger with me, and I live in a tropical place, spend a lot of time outdoors, and I like to charge off my portable battery pack in my backpack or solar charger if needed. Charging a 4000mah battery off those is abysmally slow. A massive battery is only useful if the phone doesn't drain it so fast. Camera: Not nearly as good as the Pixel 2. Pixel wins in every way, especially in low light. You may think the camera doesn't matter that much until you're taking sunset pictures in a tropical place. Buggy: I've experienced quite a few more bugs with the OP7 than the Pixel. Just today I was watching a video on it and the whole screen froze while watching it and a buzzing sound came out of the speakers, then it shut off. Never had that happen with the Pixel in the year and a half I've owned it. At times on the OP7 I click on the Google search bar and nothing happens no matter how many times I click it. I have to open Chrome to do a quick Google search half the time. T-Mobile BS: I was switching from Verizon to T-Mobile for the OP7... I hate it, switching back. Their service is worse in my area, and I hate all the little add-ons they try to push. Visual voicemail is an add-on, on my Pixel with Verizon it was built right into the phone app and was free. Spam filtering and call screening is built right into the Google phone app on the Pixel. You get none of these extras for free with T-Mobile. On top of it I had issues getting an online account with T-Mobile. Years ago I bought a Chromebook with a T-Mobile SIM and a promotional 200MB data plan per month for a year free data plan. That account is now long gone now. Now trying to register my new T-Mobile number with my email it tells me there's already an account with my email address. I called customer service and asked them to delete my email address from their system so I could register my email address with my new phone number. They told me there is no way to do that at all, I have to make an account with a new email address to associate it with my new phone number. Like WTF??? I'm not going to create a new email address just for my T-Mobile account. If their system sucks that badly that they can't find a way around that or figure out how to associate a new number with an existing account, I don't want to deal with them as a company. This was the tipping point that made me decide to return the whole damn thing. I had really high hopes for this phone, I really did. But even though my Pixel 2 XL is a bit slower, it's still better than the OP7 Pro in my experience. I'm just very disapointed and I figured I would share my experiences, even though I'm sure many people here have a widely different opinion. Edit: Also bummed there's no barometric pressure sensor. I actually do use that fairly often. Not only to help out DarkSky but also hiking in mountains, planes, etc. My fault for not checking if it had it first, I kind of assumed it was standard on most flagships these days. Posted: 01 Jun 2019 03:58 PM PDT So, I recently (around 3 weeks ago) bought the Oneplus 6T. Not a day goes by when I'm not blown away by how amazing this piece of technology is. However, I recently came across the Oneplus 7 future launch (in India) and it's pricing which is similar to 6T. I bought 6T because I had to say goodbye to my previous phone (Xiaomi Mi A1) and needed to get a new phone urgently. After looking into the Oneplus 7 specs, I'm not really sold as to how does it massively differentiate from 6T? I understand that the camera is bit better and processor too, but is it a significant difference? Let me know your thoughts! Note: Completely keeping Oneplus 7 Pro out of this discussion. Is it possible to buy and use a (normal) OnePlus 7 in the US? Posted: 01 Jun 2019 04:36 PM PDT Hi, I'm currently looking for a new phone and decided that I would either get a OnePlus 7 or a Pixel 3a. However, I heard that the OP7 is only available in markets outside of the US and the OP7 Pro just doesn't fit what I'm looking for. Is it possible/will it ever be possible to buy a normal OP7 for use in the US? And if so, will it work with T-Mobile? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Notification sound ignores your settings. Posted: 01 Jun 2019 08:51 PM PDT You still get "LOUD" notification sounds regardless of your volume level and even if your phone on silent/vibrate A quick search revealed a great deal of people experiencing this problem recently, all known user-provided fixes are only temporary; the problem reverts back every time, I can't even sleep, why is this not a high priority, why aren't people at OnePlus pulling an all-nighter to fix this major problem? how is this company getting away with this? Why is this garbage horizontal menu scrollview is still a thing? People use the scrollview to quickly switch between apps not to view the contents of each app individually and painfully slowly slide through them one by one. Why is the "close all apps" button 1 nano-meter away from the damn home button, how many of you have accidentally closed all apps? Why is this company still not listening to the people, maintaining low support quality while increasing price? OnePlus, let me silence my damn phone please [link] [comments]
Where is the NFC antenna on the oneplus 7 Pro? Posted: 01 Jun 2019 10:14 AM PDT Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows where the NFC antenna is located. Was having trouble yesterday using Google pay and my Yubikey with my case on, but I might have just been missing the antenna. Thanks all! [link] [comments]
How do i enable Wi-Fi calling? Posted: 01 Jun 2019 08:38 PM PDT I recently bought the 7 Pro. I have another iphone which is in contract with T-mobile. I am using the sim in the 7P. The place i am at has horrible mobile network. I was able to use wifi calling on the iphone. But, even though i turned on wifi calling in the settings, i am not receiving any calls or texts. T- mobile support said that it doesn't work because it is not a T-mobile provided device. I am thinking of returning the device as it is really difficult changing my mobile network (work issues) and i know At&t charges waay more than what i am paying t-mobile. Any advice? Will Verzion eventually create a "profile" for the OP7P? Posted: 01 Jun 2019 11:28 AM PDT This is my first time on a OnePlus, so I might not understand how this all works. But I upgraded from an iPhone X to a OnePlus 7 Pro (both Verizon) and I followed the steps to make it work correctly: Get HD Calling and CMDA-less activated for my line. These steps sound like manual workarounds because Verizon doesn't have a pre-provisioned profile for the OP7P that would do this automatically. Is there any chance that going forward, Verizon will create one? And if so, will all of us that did this manual setup be brought along into the OP7P-specific profile? Sorry if I'm using the wrong terms... I just want to make sure Verizon isn't going to make this more screwy than they already have. [link] [comments]
[OP7PRO]Rubber between screen and chasis... Posted: 01 Jun 2019 10:11 AM PDT On the bottom left corner a piece of something like rubber is coming off. The rubber is between the screen and the chasis. I think thats the rubber that prevents liquid and dust go inside the phone. I just saw it today and my phone is not even a month old. Contacted RMA, because if it's what i mentioned that might end in real catastrophe for a phone that costs this money. It's a tiny black rubber line on the bottom left corner. Anyone noticed something like that on their phones? [link] [comments]
Question for a OnePlus 7 Pro Owner. (Pokemon GO question) Posted: 01 Jun 2019 12:18 PM PDT Does the 90 Hz screen allow Pokemon GO to run at 60 FPS consistently? One of the issues that really irritates me with the OnePlus 6T is that even though the phone hardware is more than capable of running the game at 60 FPS (just see the smoothness when switching to AR+), it runs at 30 FPS everywhere when AR+ is turned off. One of the things with the Razer Phone is that Pokemon GO ran at 60 FPS pretty much all the time on that phone. Wondering if the OP7P can do that too. [link] [comments] |
