    AOD doesn't turn off inside pocket

    So on my Galaxy S7 edge the AOD turns off after a minute or so inside my pocket or if I simply put it display down. However this does not happen on my Galaxy S10+ which is strange and is kind of a downgrade. Who needs always working AOD when you don't even see the display?

    So does anyone have any information about whether Samsung gonna fix this issue or not?

    The charging animation is cool but it'd be awesome if we could customize what it looks like when we plug our phone in. It could make lightning bolts shoot up from the bottom, flames, or bubbles. I just think it'd be a great thing to customize.

    iPhone user looking to switch

    So I've been on hiatus from android for the past two years and was thinking about switching back to android. Deciding between either pixel 3 or s9 (I can get them for the same price) and wanted some more info about the s9.

    ​

    A bit about my usage:

    • mainly used for texting and Reddit, occasional phone calls
    • Occasional games such as clash royale or words with friends
    • Moderate GPS usage (~1-2 hrs daily)
    • All location services enabled with background app refresh turned on
    • Find my friends/device on and Google location history tracking and sharing on

    looking to get full-day (7AM - 7PM) battery life, SOT and standy combined for days I'm not in the office. I did get a charging dock for my desk at work so hopefully that should help elongate on work days.

    • how is it handling being over a year old?
    • does the lag+overheating issue from s6/s7 still occur from time to time?
    • how soon after Android O did you guys get the official update?
      • How much actually changed after the update? I know Samsung's skin usually has a lot of the features Google is slow to implement
    • was the phone eligible for Samsung's beta program?
    • if I pair with a Galaxy or WearOS watch will that hit the battery hard?

    With the usage outlined above my iPhone X paired with the Series 4 GPS I get about 4-5 hrs SOT. Lately it's been on a downward trend to 3.5-4 hrs SOT, but not enough for me to worry about it. Standby is still incredible, where I can leave untouched for hours and it'll drop 1-2% only.

    Is it worth switching from s9 to an s10+?

    I currently have a 3 months old s9, still works as new except for the battery (2.5h of screen on time is the maximum I got when on 4g on Instagram or reddit) and I dont feel like changing it because of the many downsides it can have. I'm really tempted to buy the s10+ almost only for the battery, but is it really worth?

    Galaxy buds not fitting properly

    I recently bought the Galaxy Buds and for some reason the right ear bud just doesn't fit properly. Now this isn't that noticable when I'm only listening with one ear bud but when I put both of the buds in I can definitely tell there's a difference and it drives me crazy. Any other people have the same problem? Or is it just my fucked up ears?

    ( Samsung Galaxy A30 ) Weird hissing / buzzing noise when charging

    there's a hissing sound whenever i charge with the fast charging option turned off. the sound goes away as soon as I turn the option back on. should I be worried?

    Gmail sync notification

    So about a month ago I updated my s8+ to the new Samsung os. After updating I get these Gmail sync notifications that tell me when Gmail is syncing. Its annoying because I see the Gmail logo in the top bar and when I pull down it's not a ln email it's just telling me it's syncing. This isn't really a big problem except it gives me the sync notification about ever 3 minutes. Is there anyway to keep Gmail constantly syncing but also see only email notifications?
