| Every media is talking about the OnePlus 7 Pro, but what about the standard version? Posted: 03 May 2019 03:13 PM PDT Amybody knows something about the design of the standard OnePlus 7? Does it have a notch? Display size? I can guess it would be a model with 8-10GB RAM and Snapdragon 855. A bigger battery and an improved fingerprint reader, maybe an improved camera. But I can't find anything about the display. I am asking because I want to buy it for my mom but I am hoping there is not moving parts like the Pro version. Also, I have a question, can you still buy the OnePlus 6T after the 14th of May launch on the official OnePlus page? Do you think you can get it on a discount? I'm very nervous about it. I read things online about accidental touches, weird screen distortion with videos, etc. What are your thoughts on the usability of it? | OxygenOS 9.0.5 for OnePlus 5 broke mobile data for me, anyone with the same issue? Posted: 03 May 2019 06:02 PM PDT After updating my OnePlus 5 to OxygenOS 5 my mobile data has not been working and neither has my cell service. It connected once for a brief moment with edge but has not been working since. I'm on TMobile in the US. I know this isn't a case of just not having signal because a person with the same carrier and phone on OxygenOS 9.0.3 has not had any issues the entire day. I'm also getting this weird error message https://imgur.com/a/7FryU2B . Can anyone help me and has this happened to anyone else? Edit: I just remembered I forgot to mention I've tried the most common troubleshooting steps: reboot, network reset, turn off dev options, factory reset (keeping user data). Edit 2: I think it fixed itself. At least mobile data works again. So I'm guessing it was the factory reset. Leaving this up in case someone else has this issue [link] [comments]  | ||

As for features, I'm going to limit myself to official info released by OP and the more consistent leaks. If it's not highlighted, it's the same in both phones (or I forgot about it) e.g. display quality is likely to be indistinguishable on both, with both getting A+ from DisplayMate and what not. Same goes for camera, especially with GCam. I've put a ** on features I personally don't care about What OP7 has going for it:
What S10+ has going for it
For me personally, the most important distinction is the 90 Hz bigger display without a cut-out vs wireless charging. Other stuff like faster OS updates on OP7P and an SD card slot on S10+ are nice but not deal-breakers. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Tether on op5 after 9.0.5 update Posted: 03 May 2019 01:18 PM PDT I used to have "use hardware acceleration" set for tether. That stopped the tether working on 9.0.5. Just deselect that feature. My phone now no longer goes 'bahwoop" when I plug in the charger. Thus far this are the only changes I noticed. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Speed dial list clearing everyday on its own Posted: 03 May 2019 02:49 PM PDT For some odd reason, the speed dial list in the stock phone app gets deleted automatically every night (except the already pinned starred contacts). | Screen turning on during calls? Posted: 03 May 2019 09:36 AM PDT Does anyone else have this problem? When I'm on a call the screen will turn off when I put the phone up to my ear but then occasionally (more often than not it seems) it will turn back on during the call. Meaning my ear starts "pressing things" on the screen. I've turned my flashlight on during calls accidentally, changed settings, even put my phone into airplane mode (thus ending the call). It is extremely frustrating. Most things I've read seem to be people having problems with the screen never turning off during a call - that is not the case for me, it turns off at first and then turns back on again. Any ideas? | Posted: 03 May 2019 06:04 PM PDT I was hoping somebody could give me some insight as to what's happening on my phone. I'm the guy that purchased a new oneplus 3t off of eBay the other day. I'm having trouble with the touch on the screen. When typing the input seems very slow and the phone is constantly not inputting characters I touch. Sometimes it is extremely bad and makes typing very difficult. As far as I can tell it isn't the Gboard keyboard because I've tried switching keyboards and it still happens. The phone works fine other than this for the most part and doesn't seem to lag anywhere else. I thought it was maybe because I was using Nova launcher, but I just factory reset the phone and it's still happening. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but this morning my phone was at 10% battery and when I plugged it in to a factory charger the touch screen pretty much stopped working altogether. The capacitive buttons still worked but the screen stopped reacting to touch and started moving irratically all on it's own. This stopped as soon as I unplugged it. I tried it with another known good Anker charger and had the same results. Once the phone had charged some I noticed the touch screen returned to normal while charging. I tested to see if the countdown timer made a difference, and sure enough, without the countdown timer the exposure time was the same as hand held. It's the notification sound twice without anything on the screen. I tried downloading a notification log app to track what's doing it, it doesn't find anything.
