Latest: Huawei Technologies Co. is now added back to the member list of SD Card Association

    Posted: 28 May 2019 09:44 PM PDT

    As seen in here: https://imgur.com/a/dKGx8gl

Just days after the SD Card Association removed Huawei from its members list, effectively banning Huawei using microSD cards in its phones, the membership status appears to have been resumed. Now if you access the member list, you can find Huawei Technology Co. in it.

is 3.5 mm Jack a factor for your purchasing decision?

    Posted: 27 May 2019 10:28 PM PDT

SInce the 3.5 mm jack is becoming rarer these days , I just wanted to know how many of you have sworn never to buy a phone that does not have 1? I definitely have made it very clear in my head and if a phone lacks it, I drop it from my purchasing decision consideration because I still want to have it no matter what.

How many of you feel this makes our choices limited and what great phones you wish had it?

Has Smart Lock *ever* worked reliably?

    Posted: 28 May 2019 09:53 AM PDT

Does Smart Lock work reliably for anyone?

I have enabled every feature in Smart Lock: on body detection, trusted places, trusted devices, voice match, you name it. I can be sitting in my kitchen at the table, well within the 75m radius of a trusted place, phone on the table next to me, and have it time out the screen and lock itself. As I'm typing this on my desktop, it just spontaneously locked itself.

Does anyone have these features working reliably and consistently? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a magic feature that I've failed to enable? For the record, I'm on Q beta 3 on a Pixel 3 XL, and have this same problem for years, on multiple versions of Android, on a Pixel XL and a Nexus 6P.

    Google Calendar DND Integration

    Posted: 28 May 2019 04:59 PM PDT

Is it just me or shouldn't Android's DND function have the ability to sync with your Google Calendar? That way, I can have a setting so if my calendar shows me at work, my phone is automatically on vibrate. If I have a meeting scheduled, it automatically goes silent for that period. Seems like this should be doable and would be more powerful then the current option of just setting specific schedules. Sometimes my meetings/classes/etc aren't regular enough to cover with a schedule.
