Should I trade in my iPhone 7 Plus for OnePlus 6T? Posted: 12 Apr 2019 08:36 AM PDT I'm tired of Apples games, I was thinking of going for either the Pixel 3 XL or the OnePlus 6T but after looking at the comparisons, they're almost the same in my opinion except for the Oxygen OS. The only con that I see is if I get it on T-Mobile, it will be bootloader locked, so I won't be able to root it or put a custom ROM until it is paid off. Even then, I feel like the 6T will still be aesthetically pleasing to use compared to the iPhone 7 Plus, what are your opinions? [link] [comments] |
Is it worth getting the 6t now? Posted: 12 Apr 2019 03:01 AM PDT There's a sale on the 6t and I can use my points to get the 6t at no cost. I just wanted to ask is it worth waiting for the 7 or should I just buy the 6t? I want a phone that should last at least 3-4 years [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2019 01:47 PM PDT I've had a 3T since early 2017 and it has treated me pretty good, the screen is pretty scratched up and a little cracked because I stopped using a case out of laziness (and kind of wanting an excuse for a new phone haha) maybe a year ago now but that hasn't killed it at all, still works great and there's even a crack in the camera lens but I can't tell at all from the pictures. However, more recently I've started to have some serious problems. First of all, my audio jack rarely if ever works since a couple months ago, and now my power button doesn't work either so I've started having to turn it on with only the home button and lock it with an app. Whenever I turn it totally off, I have to plug it into a computer to start it again which is kind of annoying but manageable, but today it seems like it's called it quits. I'm not sure if something is wrong with the power port or it's something worse, but when I plug it into my computer I hear the USB connection on my computer and it pops up in devices as some Qualcomm thing so there's some rudimentary connection, but that doesn't turn the phone on. The charging light also shows up when it's plugged into a wall outlet, so I know there's life left in it. Also, whenever I get a little water on it it becomes SUPER temperamental and randomly presses my home/back/options buttons for like 3 hours until it dries out I guess. It's close to unusable during that time. Honestly, I'm not even looking for a new phone because this one has been and still is great besides the technical issues. Things still load fast and the performance is fine, battery life is still pretty good, and sure it's a little scratched up but I don't care. I was just wondering if you guys had any insight on where I should repair it if I want it repaired and how much it will cost me. If it's anymore than a couple hundred bucks I'm probably just going to go ahead and get a new phone (not a newer oneplus, but that's a different story). But I honestly hope it's not that much so I can keep this phone because it's still doin great. Also, with the repairs needed to fix everything wrong with it do you think all my data will stay on it and still be accessible when I get it back? What have been your guys' experiences with repairing 3/3Ts? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Fitbit Charge 3 now fully supports the Oneplus 6, but still not my 6T :( Posted: 12 Apr 2019 01:24 PM PDT According to tech support, the most up to date info on device compatibility is here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315 They have a dedicated page to phone compatibility, but apparently they don't update it anymore, according to tech support. I have a 6T and my work gave me a Charge 3. I can get it to sync data (heart rate, steps, etc) with the Fitbit app, but I can't receive any notifications, despite diving deep into app/special app permissions. It seems to be hit or miss getting notifications when using a 6T. There isn't much info out there on the Charge 3 paired with the 6T, so I figured I'd post what I've learned. Hopefully they release full support soon! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Apr 2019 04:31 PM PDT I want to know which Spigen case is better in balance between protection, grip, and bulkyness. Unless you know any better 6T cases than these two? I just chose Spigen cases because I've used them before and loved them. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2019 02:04 PM PDT This is honestly some good fucking battery life for my ~5 month 6T. I did not charge in-between and mostly used default settings. [link] [comments] |

Google Pay Fingerprint Reprompt? Posted: 12 Apr 2019 01:20 PM PDT I've tried to pay with my phone numerous times recently but have had to input my fingerprint for it to do so. I unlock with face unlock 95% of the time so this is very annoying, but I can't Fina a way to turn it off. Is there any way I can turn the second authentication off? [link] [comments] |
How do I change the color of the text when searching for apps so I can see what it says? Posted: 12 Apr 2019 11:55 AM PDT |
Lineage on the 5t, face unlock? Posted: 12 Apr 2019 07:58 AM PDT Everything I am seeing leads me to face unlock being unavailable on the 5t if I go to lineage. Is this correct or am I missing something? TIA [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2019 11:42 AM PDT I just got set up with Cox internet and every device works fine except my phone. Sometimes I'll be connected and my phone will have the exclamation point with the wifi saying no data when I do have it. That's the only time the wifi works and it's not for long. I've tried both 5 and 2.4 access points, doesn't change anything I think I'm going to factory reset my phone but I don't want to waste my time if there's an easier solution. Any help would be great. Posted: 12 Apr 2019 07:56 AM PDT Hi guys, updated to Android Pie on my OP5 recently and since then I can't use my USB C bullet headphones. They work in another OP5 and they work in my PC perfectly fine. I went in to the FactoryMode (*#808#) and ran the OTG test and it says OTG fail in big red letters. I'm willing to reset the phone but don't wanna go through the hassle if it just won't work after a reset. Any ideas? TIA [link] [comments] |
can you still get the McLaren edition 6T? Posted: 12 Apr 2019 11:22 AM PDT can you still get the McLaren edition 6T? Or was that just a limited time offer deal. [link] [comments] |
Oneplus 5 loosing bluetooth connection bullets Posted: 12 Apr 2019 02:09 AM PDT I'm having bluetooth problems with the bullets wireless and my op5. At the beginning they worked really well, maybe dropped the connection once a week when outside. After the android pie update it got worse. Now the bluetooth connection drops regularly, especially in cases when I unlock my phone (face unlock or fingerprint). In order to address the issue, I tried the following fixes: disabling wifi when going outside and disabling open wifi scanning, factory reset of the bullets, data + cache deletion of the bluetooth service on the phone. Posted: 11 Apr 2019 10:57 PM PDT To continue on the bluetooth issue topic, I've had an issue with the 6T since the end of November. I bought the 6T on launch and for some time my 6T connected with my car without any issues. After some time it doesn't display what song I'm currently playing on my car display anymore. It just shows my phone name that is connected. I do understand that it's not that big of a deal, but it all comes down to convenience. I hate having to turn on my phone screen just to see what song is currently playing or what song did I just switch to. I've also encountered many situations when someone else in the car asks what song is currently playing and I have to switch on the phone instead of just pointing my finger to the car display. It's a small thing but becomes annoying after some time. Anyone else experiencing this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2019 06:01 AM PDT I recently started having this problem where my list of speed dial or frequent contacts is completely empty. It happened yesterday and repopulated one call at a time as I used my phone. But today I notice that it's cleared again. I have no clue why this is happening. The only unusual thing I remember doing before this started was turn off deep optimisation in battery settings. I don't know how that might have affected my speed dial list. Anyone else facing this? This is super annoying. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2019 11:53 AM PDT Is the beta for the 6t fairly stable? I'm a bit annoyed I have to join that in order to get the latest security patches [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2019 12:22 AM PDT My last post here my OnePlus 2's screen died from a massive phone overheat, but since I'm going to fix it I might as well get a new battery, because it's very old and hardly holds a charge anymore. Anyone have any place they recommend for buying a new screen/ battery, and any phone repair services? [link] [comments] |
