Inbox vs New Gmail screenshot on my emails

    Posted: 01 Mar 2019 11:03 AM PST

I really hate how the new and even the old gmail is just plain text. Try to navigate it fast and find something useful. It's not as easy.

Take my screenshots comparison. I have 2 trips planned this year, the bundles contains plane tickets and airbnb or booking. And some emails from internet banking grouped in finance. Inbox automatically grouped everything.

But in gmail there is nothing. It's just some random mails of text on white background. It's just a mess. If I wanted to find something for the trip really fast it's 10x easier on inbox.

What are your thoughts on this.

My European Galaxy S10 and Buds just arrived [AMA]

    Posted: 01 Mar 2019 10:27 AM PST

    Hey!

My black Galaxy S10 and my white Galaxy buds just arrived! I'm from Germany, so obviously I got the Exynos one. I'm coming from a S7 flat.

Feel free to ask anything about them! There are some good AMA threads about the S10+ already, I'll be happy to answer S10 and Buds specific questions!

Ad in Google Feed on Pixel 3 XL

    Posted: 01 Mar 2019 05:27 AM PST

I'm not sure if this is a new thing or not, but it's the first time I've seen it after continuous use of the news feed on Pixel 2 XL, and now Pixel 3 XL.

Google, don't be evil. Putting ads in the News Feed to me is synonymous with dropping them in the notification shade, or the settings menu. The News Feed is an operating system level feature. I should not be able to swipe right from my home screen and see an ad.

Not to mention, I have no interest in facial/skin care products. I have not searched for this recently, or anything even remotely like it. The ad is completely irrelevant to my interests. The Feed is already curated and designed to put me on pages relevant to my interests, and to sell me things. Google, don't use this real estate to be aggressive and greedy.

I've already deleted Instagram because 75%+ of the content became ads.

Google, I have been an extremely vocal, positive, word-of-mouth advocate for your consumer products for almost 15 years. If this is screenshot embodies a new product strategy for you...if this is how you intend to treat your best customers that paid cash (not paid with click throughs) for your proprietary hardware, I will bail. I will buy Samsung, I will buy Apple.
