    My phone has an FM audio tuner and a stock app for it. It works great. But I can't receive AM signals, and I can't find an app that is an actual AM timer and not streaming the music from online. Can use you the FM tuner for AM?

    Android Permissions: Why can WhatsApp read my sms?

    I denied all permissions for the WhatsApp-App in the System Settings (Android 8.0). For reasons i needed to verify my number on a different device. After i switched back to my actual device, WhatsApp was able to Verify the sms code automaticly, even tho it shouldn't have the permission to read sms. Anybody know how this works exactly?

    Screenshots and WhatsApp Images are Grey on Google Photos Pixel 3

    I do not sync these on device folders to Google Photos online service. And they appear and stay as grey.

    Sometimes same thing happens on recently shot photos as well.

    Good Lock Task Changer is missing a button.

    The default task changer lets you change the aspect ration of an app when you click on it from the task view menu. On task changer, this button seems to be missing. I felt the need to address the issue so they could add it in their next patch or something.

    Am i missing something? Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

    I am using a galaxy S10.

    Galaxy S10+?

    Hello all! I currently have an iPhone 8 after the tragic death of my Pixel 2 XL. I was planning to replace my Pixel with the 3, but I've seen so many complaints I've decided to hold off. I have owned 4 android phones so far: HTC One M8, Galaxy S7 Edge (best phone I've ever had), Galaxy S8, and the Pixel 2 XL. Best Buy has a great deal on the S10+ right now, but my Galaxy S8 broke from a pathetically short fall, while in an Otter Box. That being said, I'm weary around Galaxy devices now. Is the S10+ a worthy purchase right now, and is it more durable than its predecessor? I'm in the United States & have Verizon but will purchase the device unlocked if I get it.

    Dolamee Android stb DL’s tablet apps only

    I feel kinda stupid asking this, but here we go. I bought a Dolamee D5 for my kids room as we are cord cutting, and I put atv launcher on it cause the simple grids are easiest for them. My question is this: every time I download an app, plex, Sirius xm, kodi, etc... it only downloads the tablet version of the app? I understand there is an option in atv launcher for "lean back mode" but it's downloading tablet apps, or so it says, and no option to switch to leanback mode in the newly downloaded apps. Is it atv launcher? Is it a setting in the play store? Or am I missing something. Also, because they're tablet apps, most require enabling the mouse pointer, when the kids just want to use the remote normally. What am I missing here? Thank you in advance 🙂

    So see, I have 3 phones. An LG Stylo 3 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S8 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The S8 and Note shows my Reminders from Google but my LG Won't. You might be asking "Why don't you use the Note or S8, they both have better specs then the Stylo 3 Plus" but the bottom of the screen is broken on my S8 (rip amoled) and my Note3 doesn't charge anymore. So I have to use my LG Stylo. I've tried remaking the reminders and it still doesn't work if needed, here is the versions of Android the phones have

    S8: Android 8.0 Oreo

    Stylo 3 Plus: Android 7.0 Nougat

    Note 3: Android 5.0 Lollipop

    All of these are the official versions. They don't have custom ROMs and they are not rooted.

    How do I stop these Annoying Offensive Forced Commercials?

    Nearly every Ap that I have on my phone forces me into a Commercial that I Can NOT opt out of..

    I also have an old android phone from 2011 that doesn't have the ability to even allow that, but the apps don't work right because the software isn't allowing them to control my phone the way they want..

    I paid too much for my new phone to be annoyed every time I use it..

    Where exactly in the settings can I block this? Knowing that corporations prefer money over customer satisfaction, I doubt there is a way.. So is there any other options or recommended apps that I can install to prevent this? Thanks

    Data issues

    I've been having issues with my data. I have full bars but I can't get any data nor can I make calls. What's causing this? My fiance has the same phone as me which is a Umidigi One Pro. This is usually when I'm inside. My fiance is able to use her phone but I'm not able. Any ideas?

    How do I disable the notification bubble that appears whenever I receive a notification? (Android 9.0 Pie)

    Note: I tried posting this on the main Android subreddit, but the post was removed, so I'm hoping this is the right place.

    My phone (Galaxy S8+) recently received the Android 9.0 Pie update and now whenever I receive a notification from any messaging app (SMS, Discord, even Gmail), I get a sticky notification bubble thing (shown here) (embarrassing pic, I know. Blame the admin.) that can only be removed by holding the icon and dragging it to the bin every time I receive a notification from such.

    I find this very annoying, as I don't want the bubble constantly blocking whatever it is I'm browsing (Reddit, YouTube, etc.), so is there a way to disable this? I'm sorry if I'm not descriptive enough, but I've been frustrated with this for the past couple of days, so help is greatly appreciated!

    Why doesn't ext2 work on Android?

    I decided to format my 128GB microSD card to EXT2 because my phone thought the SD card is corrupted, no matter how many times I format it (tried it with FAT32, exFAT & EXT2). I got it up and running by factory resetting my phone & reinstalling LineageOS 14.1.

    Upon initial boot, I'm not getting the error so I thought it was fine, but after restart (after installing some Magisk modules), that's when I noticed that none of my apps, such as Gallery, VLC, Here & Amaze. can see the card. I double checked to be sure that permission on the card was set to 777.

    Formatting it to exFAT solved it. Is that supposed to be normal? I assumed EXT2 should work on Android because it uses the Linux kernel.

    Which Moto E 2nd Gen?

    I want to buy a Moto E 2nd Gen a turn it into a dedicated music player for work since we're instituting a no cell phone policy (I know, it's a phone but I've worked out the details with my manager). Which models of the Moto E are able to have their bootloader unlocked? I basically have to make this thing look like it does nothing but play music.

    How to move play purchases into newly created Gmail account?

    I have an old Gmail account that I've used for all my Google activity (app purchases etc.) since the beginning. I have created a new account that I'd rather use instead so I can delete the old one. I know Google allows you to download all your info, but I'm not sure if it will allow the new account to take over. Any suggestions?

    Gps doesn't work in battery saver

    Cannot watch movies with MXPlayer on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

    When i try to watch a movie, for example Captain America: The Winter Soldier, i cannot choose HW+ or HW Decoder. It only allows me to use SW Decoder which lags horribly.

    The movie is 1080p with HEVC Codec.

    Is there no way to play this movie? Can i download a better decoder? I heard about the ARMv7 NEON Decoder but i dont know how to install that or if that even works.

    Lost Android phone without plan/carrier: Any way to send info to whoever finds it (lock screen etc)

    Lost my phone, has no plan on it. It's also locked with password. Only can access internet with wifi. Can't use google find my device. :(

    The phone is connected with my google devices. Is there any way for me to edit or change some info via google so that It could possibly show some kind of message to whoever finds it? Is there any other way for me to possibly get this back?

    Ive come to terms with it being gone, but dont want to lose hope completely here. lots of important sentimental stuff on there Id hate to lose.

    I rooted my phone to use AA mirror on Android Auto (screen mirroring). Now every time I reboot my phone, it sets my aspect ratio I correctly.

    There is an option in the app that changes your screen ratio. I've tried every combination of options in the app I can think of and my aspect ratio still is messed up upon reboot.

    I've also tried revoking superuser rights from the app 'AA mirror' and even uninstalling the app altogether, but my aspect ratio still is incorrect upon reboot.

    The only way I can figure out how to fix it is to plug my phone into my car stereo head unit and start the AA mirroring app on the head unit, then unplug the USB cable and it 'restore on focus lost' back to the correct aspect ratio.

    This is very annoying. I legit have to plug my phone into my car every time I reboot to fix the aspect ratio. It's as if my phone's default aspect ratio has been set somewhere wrong.

    My group messages aren't working properly on my new S10E with TMobile.

    When I send a group message it is sent to the group. When the text gets to the people in the group it is showing as an individual message from me, not as a group message. When the people in the group message reply to me, it comes as an individual message from them. I've been through my settings and can't seem to find anything awry. Googling hasn't helped either.

    Fix for Whatsapp backup creating duplicates in Google photos?

    So I just got myself a pixel 2 XL to upgrade from the Moto g5s plus and I was having some issues when it came to the Google photos auto backup

    Basically I want to backup my WhatsApp images to Google photos, however since I just got a new phone it's treating all the pictures downloaded from my WhatsApp backup as completely new ones. I'd like to see if there's a way to avoid uploading images already on Google photos to help unclutter my Google photos a bit, as it's kind of annoying to deal with

    Forwarded E-mail Attachments Being Truncated (AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - Pie)

    I'm not sure where else to turn to. I am not an Android user and have not been able to find anything related with Google searches, but my employer has a new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on AT&T that was running Oreo, which updated to Pie on its own.

    Since the update, e-mails forwarded using the built-in mail client attached to an Exchange 2007 server have been altering the attachments to be only a few character in size (e.g. 96 bytes). I am not sure where to look for setting changes that may be causing this. Attachments were working correctly on Oreo. Any suggestions or ideas for where to look for solutions to the problem would be greatly appreciated.
