Twitter client that have "Clear History" and Columns like TweetDeck? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 06:37 AM PST Hi! Basically the title, and looking for an app that can clear read tweets from columns. I like a lot the UI of TweetDeck, but there's isn't an available app for that client (and the web version for mobile isn't nice neither). Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 07:55 AM PST Hi all, I'm interested to start learning Pilates does anyone knows a good app? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 05:20 AM PST I'm actually using Pocket Cast but I'd like to have a more detailed stats. On Podcast Addict you can see how much time you spend listening to each show. Is there an app that let you add your own RSS feeds, skip silences and have a detailed stats page? I know Pocket Cast is considered the best app for podcasting but I don't like the new design. Summary of Android security ecosystem for the past month Posted: 05 Feb 2019 10:51 AM PST I decided to start a new video series on YouTube, where I will summarize Android security ecosystem for the past month. Each video will be a brief but still important security and malware recap, so you can stay up-to-date. Any feedback would be highly appreciated! Thanks! https://lukasstefanko.com/2019/02/android-security-monthly-recap-1-january-2019.html [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 10:05 AM PST I don't mean the physical keyboards for android like the ones that RAZER makes. I am searching for RBG themed and animated keyboard to run on my android? I know of "Chrooma Keyboard - RGB & Chameleon Theme". Is there any other that give vibes similar to a real RGB keyboard? And if there is no other app, wouldn't it be a great idea to develop such keyboard? And with software tricks, obviously, it can be made far better than physical RBG keyboard (decoratively speaking). EDIT: TITLE " ...great idea(......) to make one if it doesn't exist?" EDIT2: TITLE : "*Are* there any....." [link] [comments] |
looking for app to keep track of arbitrary goals, on a daily basis Posted: 05 Feb 2019 07:24 AM PST I am looking for an app that will let me set up daily tasks, ideally with arbitrary metadata types, like:
However, if this is too specific but there was something that would let me set up custom tasks for the day _just_ with checkboxes and no arbitrary text areas / etc, that would be good enough. I got as far as thinking about how I'd build this for myself in react before concluding that there _must_ be someone who has already implemented something like this in Android. A paid app would be preferred. [link] [comments] |
The Best/Most Accurate Japanese Learning App? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 12:47 AM PST I'm looking to move to Japan pretty soon, but I know nothing of the language. I'd like to learn some official japanese without being misinformed, like some language learning apps seem to do :/ [link] [comments] |
Really wish Dank was still supported! Posted: 04 Feb 2019 04:02 PM PST Stumbled upon the discontinued Reddit client Dank a couple of weeks ago. It was never fully released but the developer released the project here and you can grab the APK from there. Despite some bugs here and there and a couple of missing features, the fluidity of the animations and overall UI keeps bringing me back to this app. It's just beautiful. It's such a shame it was never finished. The developer had another job and simply couldn't keep up with it. He open-sourced it but admitted it was a mess of spaghetti code, so it seems no one has had the balls to try and work it all out. I would gladly pay money for a supported, more pollished version of this app. I'm a CS student and looking into it sounds tempting but I know I'd be biting off more than I could chew. I thought maybe getting a discussion going could get the ball rolling. Or at least I could hear others thoughts. EDIT: So I just want to apologize for rushing this post without doing my own research. Over at /r/GetDank there's a lot more information, and there actually are developers working on it. https://github.com/Tunous/Dank Being the most consistent fork, I'm really glad people are interested in possibly releasing the project! Anyway to disable Swiftkey's new auto-incognito? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 09:47 AM PST The latest update added an annoying 'feature' that makes your keyboard go into an 'incognito' mode that keeps it from tracking your usage anytime you open apps that have a certain setting flagged for privacy. This wouldn't be a big deal if the incognito keyboard wasn't so much different than the regular keyboard. It hides all of the extra keys on the keyboard. So if you hold down keys to get certain characters, you're going to have to do it from memory because they are now hidden. Also it adds a big incognito mask behind your buttons. There is no way to disable this that I have found. The differences http://imgur.com/MDowhnz http://imgur.com/D3Rj52O You can manually switch into incognito mode anywhere, but it forces it on certain apps. [link] [comments] |
[DEV] I ported my "Screensaver in the cloud" app to an Android APK Posted: 05 Feb 2019 04:54 AM PST Hi andro-reddies ;)A few days ago i ported my "screensaver in the cloud" to a new fully Android app called Seemiyah. Before i tell you about the app, one question: am i allowed to publish some Play store coupons in here so that 10 of you can get it for free? As soon as a mod confirms that i am allowed to add the coupon codes in here, i will add them as reply - or shall i edit them in this entry? The idea behind SEEMIYAH started back in 2007. Back then i made an Adobe Flash app to bring a screensaver onto the Playstation Portable and the Nokia N8xxx devices. The goal was to offer a solution to set up a screensaver online that you can call from any possible device that has an internet connection. Well, a screensaver-in-the-cloud :) If you have any questions about a certain screensaver post them in here!If you find a bug in one of the screensavers, also post them in here. And please write me any critics so that i can try to optimize the app. SEEMIYAH IN THE PLAY STORE: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seemiyah.smartphoneOVERVIEW OF THE AVAILABLE SCREENSAVERS AT http://www.seemiyah.com Thanks in advance! Looking for Office 365 Webmail App Posted: 05 Feb 2019 07:03 AM PST I am looking for a webmail app that will allow me access the Office 365 webmail without having to enroll my device. I used MailCal before which worked great, but my company has migrated us to Office 365 and disabled OWA access from mobile devices. I am using OWA Webmail at the moment which does the trick, however it's not the prettiest layout and I didn't want to pay to remove ads if something better is out there. [link] [comments] |

Looking for a browser to play audio alongside YouTube. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 06:55 AM PST Anyone know of a browser that can output audio simultaneously with YouTube? Most music players or podcast players have an option to ignore audio focus requests, so I'm wondering if there a browser (or browser extension) that also has this feature. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Feb 2019 08:47 AM PST What are some good apps that need ABD (not root)? Until now, I thought that activating ADB is complicated and hard. But I found a guide, and it's quite easy. Apps I'm looking for are mainly for customization, but others are accepted too. My phone doesn't have a navbar. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Are there any android apps that can normalise audio? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 12:16 PM PST |
[DEV] The reddit open-source spin-off saidit.net now has an android app, available on F-Droid! Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:41 AM PST https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.saiditnet.redreader/ Or the normal store if that's more your thing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.saiditnet.redreader And lastly here's the site itself: saidit.net It took us 15 months to get to this point. Any comments or feedback is much appreciated! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Feb 2019 05:36 AM PST I had a really good blue light filter made by a dev on this sub called "Sunset" but when I updated my phone to a Nokia 7.1 it has disappeared from my apps list in the playstore. Can anyone suggest a good screen filtering app. [link] [comments] |
Can Nova Launcher do the animations when you close and open an app? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:28 AM PST Hey guys, i am on EMUI 8 and got the update of navigation gestures but has no animation when swiping the app to minimize. To be more precise, on OP6 if you swipe to minimize an app it will zoom out on its icon in the launcher. It's possible to achieve this on Nova? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
How to know if your phone has virus/malware? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 07:32 AM PST I'm using a OnePlus 6 and I experienced some weird things happening on my phone that got me paranoid. I installed some apk few months ago such as CinemaHD, XTunes. This is for downloading music and movies to my phone. I have experienced my phone freezing and while scrolling newsfeed, apps being minimized automatically (not crashing). Any of you can recommend me an app to check if my phone has viruses or malware? Any app that reads notifications to Bluetooth earphones/headphones? Posted: 05 Feb 2019 11:06 AM PST I use the Bose QC35 (not II) so there's no Google Assistant integration but is there any app/mod/root solution that allows reading+replying or at least allows reading notifications like it does to the Pixel Buds? I can't find Flamingo on my new phone. Posted: 05 Feb 2019 05:07 AM PST I know Flamingo it's gone from the Playstore, but the developer is still releasing updates because I can see it on my old phone, so it's not dead yet. I can't find it on purchased apps neither. There must be a way to find it. If anyone can help would be very appreciated 😉 [link] [comments] |
Music Player with Lockscreen Album Art Posted: 05 Feb 2019 01:17 AM PST Hey there. I'm using Spotify but somehow they (or android 8.0.0 itself?) dropped the feature to let the Album art be shown on the lockscreen. You have to tap the title on the lockscreen to see it, but it switches back to the default background as soon as the screen turns off. I already tried Muzei and KLCK for customizing my wish, but it didn't work as I wanted to. Maybe one of you people know an app or a workaround for that issue. Appreciate any help, thanks! Edit: I'm using a Samsung A8. [link] [comments] |

[DEV] Soundparty - easily create and share your own music (free, no ads) Posted: 05 Feb 2019 10:46 AM PST Hello Reddit! I've created an app where you create songs by arranging musical building blocks. You don't have to know anything about music at all. You just arrange the blocks (kind of like musical Legos) until you like what you hear. So now everyone can easily create music! And it's easy to share your songs; they are exported and imported as a short line of text, so you can share them over sms, twitter, social apps, etc. The app is called Soundparty. Soundparty is free and doesn't have any ads. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thunderboltapps.soundparty I'm handing out promo coupon codes for the next week, good for a free upgrade to the full version, so if you want one just let me know! I hope you have lots of fun creating and sharing music with Soundparty :-) Edit: People ask about sharing songs as text, so here's an example. If you install Soundparty, and then copy this text to your device clipboard: Soundparty-Machine Wars||T0211FC03241FC03145BB012751B03361EA02273EB012818A013920A01361EB0337 and then go to Soundparty and click on the clipboard icon, the song "Machine Wars" will be added to your song list.
