Does anyone know how to keep the Spotify notification permanently in the notification screen? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 08:36 AM PST Hi does anyone know how to keep the Spotify notification in the notification screen in Android? I'm asking this because my Spotify widget only works when the little circle with lines (the notification) is in the top left of the screen. I searched and found that you have to add Spotify to the unmonitored apps but I did that and the notification keeps disappearing and I have to reopen the app every time to use my widget. If anyone does use the Spotify widget, can he tell me how it works on his phone ? Thanks!! Android Oreo [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 01:09 PM PST Would anyone have any ideas why this would be the case or any solutions? Also I did a factory reset and the issue continues, but I did backup my data for the factory reset (contacts and stuff). Should I do a factory reset again and not back anything up to see if that works? [link] [comments] |
Will not updating your phone improve its battery life? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 01:07 PM PST I'm sure others have experienced the same situation, where you get a new phone and it has great battery life at the start and it slowly dies down to half or less than half over time. Even if you switch out the battery for a newer one, screen on time is still terrible. So, will not updating your phone every time, improve its battery life? [link] [comments] |

Audio Quality of S9/S9+/Note 9 Posted: 03 Jan 2019 06:34 PM PST How's the audio on these phones? Specifically, how good is the audio through the headphone jack? I have an S7 Edge and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770's and the S7 sounds like shit through them. I love the S7 and I believe this is it's only downfall. Music just sounds flat, without body, or soundstage when compared to the likes of iPhone 6/6s and even my 6 year old iPod touch. I know this was barely fixed on the S8 as per reviews. Has the S9 finally improved? Or is all hope gone for Samsung audio quality? I'd like to avoid having to buy an external DAC... [link] [comments] |
Xiomi redmi note 5 doesn't alow Netflix? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 04:08 PM PST I have the newest update for the phone (MIUI 10.0.6.0) but Netflix won't show on the play store. Went to the Netflix website and downloaded the official APK, opened it up and got a notification that said something along the lines of "your device is not compatible with this app". Does anyone know why this is happening and how I might be able to get the app to work? [link] [comments] |
Bixby Voice and Google Assistant running on the same phone Posted: 03 Jan 2019 09:44 PM PST I have a Note 9 with a dedicated button for Bixby. I'm now getting notifications from Google to initiate Google Assistant. What I have read is that there advantages with either one. My question is can I run both or do I turn one off because they would conflict with each other? [link] [comments] |
Popup when using FPS to unlock Galaxy S9 Posted: 03 Jan 2019 09:44 PM PST So this only started happening recently and I can't seem to figure out why. Whenever I leave my phone alone for a bit and use my fingerprint to turn on and unlock my phone, I get a weird popup notifying me that I unlocked my phone with my fingerprint. It's unnecessary and annoying to me, AI I want to disable it. However, turning off notifications does nothing.caption [link] [comments] |
How to stop notifications from turning down music Posted: 03 Jan 2019 01:58 PM PST When I'm listening to music, my phone lowers the music so I can hear the notifications. I don't mind this feature when I'm away from phone but it really bothers me when the only thing that I'm doing is listening to music. I don't want the song to be interrupted. Problem being that I can't find a way to turn that shit off in the settings. Any suggestions? I just switched to android and it's been a few years since I've had one so I'm not as familiar with it anymore. If you have any suggestions of things I can do with the phone thatd be a vibe too. I've been struggling a bit with getting used to it and I'm missing my iPhone a little and its simplicity [link] [comments] |
Help with Game Tool on a Tab A6 Posted: 03 Jan 2019 09:23 PM PST Grettings. I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 in order to play games on it (like bigger screen more than a phone). Hey all. Hoping maybe someone can help me figure this out. Posted: 03 Jan 2019 09:22 PM PST So I have been buying my headphones, for my Android, typically at Walgreens for the last year. (I rarely get more then a couple months out of them whether I buy cheap or more expensive ones.) Well I've had two that I've bought that when I plug the headphones into the headphone spot the volume will jump around taking control of itself.. so freaking annoying. I have no idea why it does that. I literally just bought a pair today. As soon as I plug them in for the first song on Pandora the volume started doing that shit again. Can anyone please tell me why I may be having those issues? Also, what kind of headphones have you had major success with? Maybe I should go wireless? Even with the wired ones I take care of them and put them in a case when done yet it'll still stop working after maybe two months... If im lucky.. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
An odd icon keeps popping up in my notification bar, then disapearring in an instant Posted: 03 Jan 2019 08:42 PM PST Looks a bit like a standard diary, a square with a little bit coming out the right side. It's been two months of it, I've searched all though my apps to see what it could be. I'm at a loss! [link] [comments] |

Can I remove the sound setting icon from the tray in Android 9? [Device setting question] Posted: 03 Jan 2019 08:28 PM PST I finally updated my OnePlus 5T to Android 9.0.0 and now the icon for having my phone on "vibrate" or "silent" is always in the tray at the top next to the WiFi icon by the battery percentage. Can this be removed? I can't seem to find a setting for it under the sound or system settings. I also would love to have my apps stack vertically again if possible... Thanks for any help you guys can offer! [link] [comments] |
Will Android TV work with Google Home routines? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 04:12 PM PST If I come home and say I'm Home can I set it to turn on the TV and launch Netflix? Recently setup some lights with Home and really like being able to turn on my lights from my phone. [link] [comments] |
How to keep music app playing when the screen is turned off? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:49 PM PST I have a music player app. If I turn the screen off then after a few minutes the app's playback stops. Looking for the best Email app for multiple email accounts, recommendations? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 10:46 AM PST I've been using Edison Email for a while now, however it starts being glitchy when you add 2+ Gmail accounts to it--such as inboxes bleeding together and showing up in the wrong accounts inbox folder and I've contacted their support team several times regarding this but they have no idea how to fix it. I've seen others on the Playstore but I wanted to get someone's opinion/experience using any others first hand. I'd like to be able to get notifications for emails that come to all the accounts added (I have a total of 6) and definitely willing to go to a paid app also. [link] [comments] |
I Hard reset my phone and my wifi and Bluetooth profiles didn't sync up. Can I force it somehow? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:24 PM PST Hey there, I reset my phone and I've done is several times before and whenever I log into my Google account, all my previous wifi and Bluetooth profiles sync up no problem. However this time they didn't and it would be a pain to set up all the saved wifi networks etc. Is there a way for me to force sync them even after I've started using the phone. I would prefer not to reset again. [link] [comments] |

My Android phone cant use internet when connected to my WiFi repeater Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:21 PM PST I have a wireless router with a 2nd router set up as a repeater to extend my network. My Android phone used to connect to the repeater just fine, but for a couple of weeks now, it will say it is connected but there is no internet access. Several other devices can connect to the repeater just fine and have internet access. My phone can connect to my main router just fine. I have tried forgetting the network and reconnecting, resetting network settings, and I even did a full factory reset of my phone. Of course I have also restarted the router and repeater both multiple times. I'm really not sure what could be wrong here. [link] [comments] |
Is there a way to set your calls to ring with normal volume but messages to vibrate only? Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:19 PM PST |
Posted: 03 Jan 2019 07:08 PM PST Hello all, Recently I dropped and cracked my galaxy s8 plus and shattered the screen and the LCD, rendering my phone unusable. I was ready for an upgrade anyway so that's okay however I ran into a small issue. I have some photos on the phone that I would really really like to recover. The twist is that they are a private folder in the phone...... so because of this I am unable to just plug the phone up to a PC and get them, at least as far as I know. Does anyone happen to know a way for me to recover these? Thanks in advance for the help! [link] [comments] |
