After that no matter what number I dial I get this weird recording/hold line that first says "thanks for calling king" I tried deleting any apps I thought might be compromised, checking app permissions, and starting in safe mode and nothing fixes it. I cant recieve calls or texts. What should I do is this a backdoor in Huawei's software? [link] [comments]  |

Every single app for doing this has a pro version which is required to transfer more than a certain number of files or size total of files "per month". This doesn't even happen over the internet! No internet connection is required to do this, no servers are being used, what are these companies expecting me to pay for? Long story short, no, I'm not paying for this. The dictionary does not have random words, like "in" and a few others I've found so far. I know I can add them manually when I come across them. | Posted: 03 Dec 2018 02:13 PM PST I set my primary SIM for calls and SMS and the secondary for data only. It's an old number I had with a great data plan but some jerkoff I don't know uses that number as his on every loan he asks for so I receive calls from tons of debt collectors all day asking for that dude. Sadly, I'm in Mexico and there's no one I can call to fix this on the phone company and the banks don't give a damn about my explanations, they will say they understand and I will get someone else to call me minutes later so I just stopped picking up the calls. Is there a way I can lock the secondary SIM from incoming calls while still being able to use data either through phone settings or with an app? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| How to stop notification that I received a Blocked Call. Posted: 03 Dec 2018 01:51 PM PST Until recently, I would have sworn that numbers on my Auto-Reject list were fully blocked from appearing on my phone. Yes, they can leave a voicemail, but robo-calls rarely seem to do that. More importantly, my phone didn't alert me in notifications that I received a blocked call. Now, it appears to do just that. Maybe I turned off something, but I can't find a setting to stop my phone from letting me know that a blocked call came in. I mean, they are blocked for a reason. Why would I want a notice (that I have to manually clear) about something I don't ever want to know about? Did something change? | Are my mum's photos gone for good? Posted: 03 Dec 2018 06:49 PM PST My mum had over 4k photos on her Samsung galaxy a5 2017 phone. Today I looked and saw all the photos from her gallery also in her google photos. So I deleted all photos from her gallery to then discover that they were then also gone from google photo. Turns out they werent actually uploaded to google photo. I was simply seeing them in the photo viewer version of the google photo app. I feel terrible this happened. She had tons of pictures of two new grand babies and a couple recent international trips. Any ideas to help get them back or are they gone for good? :( TIA [link] [comments]  |

In google app settings I have it set to search "names of installed apps" in the personal settings search settings. But, since early this week I don't get any app results unless I choose the "personal" tab in the search results. I tried clearing the app cache and data and it did not help. | Not receiving messages from iphone users after switching to a note 9 from an iphone 7 Posted: 03 Dec 2018 04:34 PM PST Ok internet I need your help. I'm a rep for an att. I switched a customer from an iPhone 7 to a Galaxy note 9. It's been about 3 month and sometimes she'll notice that sometimes, not always, one of her friends will text her and she will never receive the message. It happens for direct sms messages and group messages of only iPhone users (besides her). We went to the iMessage deregister page but it says who number is not registered (I had disable iMessage on her device before the switch). As a rep, I've tried changing the Sim card, I've disabled advanced messages but none of those seems to work. In the store I was able to text her from an iPhone and made a group message with other iPhones and she did receive those. But then her sister tried messaging her to no avail. So I'm reaching to you guys to see if you can give me any more ideas to help this customer and future customer. TLDR; switched from iPhone to Samsung note 9. Can't receive group messages or direct text messages from iPhone users. Already deregistered from Imessage on the site and changed my sim. Doesn't happen always, but happens enough times to be a problem. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 03 Dec 2018 03:26 PM PST I have an s7 and had an app installed on an sd card with a shortcut for it on my home page. Well I dropped the phone and the sd card somehow became corrupted. My only choice was to format it and reinstall the app, but a link to the app was still on my home page. Posted: 03 Dec 2018 03:16 PM PST I just got a brand new Mi A2 global version with Android One (currently on Oreo 8.1, waiting for Pie update). Today, I wanted to encrypt my phone. To my surprise, under Settings>Security it said the phone is already encrypted. I did not do it. Nor do I have the double-login experience I have with my other encrypted phone (where you have to input the code twice: once to decrypt the OS, and once to log in). I'm wary of this situation. I don't believe the phone is actually encrypted, but there's no action I can take. The only way to decrypt the phone, from what I read, is reset it to factory settings. But since I got it like this, I'm not sure that'd help. Is something wrong with the phone? Is this an Android One feature? Will resetting to factory help? Thanks for any help you can suggest! Update: tried resetting device to factory. Everything got deleted. First time phone boots it says "encrypted". [link] [comments]  |
| Google play store, Google maps, Google assistant and the Google app itself have stopped working Posted: 03 Dec 2018 03:04 PM PST It started off as notifications coming up saying that the Google app stopped working, but then Google maps stopped as well, and finally the play store. I've got a Samsung galaxy A8 2018, with Nova launcher and the Nova Google companion installed. The only thing I can think of that would've caused it is the Nova Google companion, which I've turned off (not wanting to uninstall stuff because play store not working), and substratum themes, and I've tried turning the themes off and restarting, but Google still doesn't work. | Need help flashing Wiko Lenny 3 Posted: 03 Dec 2018 08:48 AM PST Hey, so I had recently tried learning about flashing and custom roms on android, and I had flashed twrp with magisk on my lenny 3. Because my device seems to be unpopular, roms like lineageOS aren't available for it, only some sketchy roms are. TLDR My dead lenny 3 doesn't give any data signal when i connect it via usb after a bad flash, so I can't reflash it to fix it What I've tried: Any suggestions on how to be able to flash it again? If I could boot it into TWRP i'd be all set cause i have a backup... the problem is that my TWRP is gone and even if I still had it I can't boot my phone (Even tho I left it charging) [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 03 Dec 2018 02:44 PM PST I have tried every method to root this phone. I unlocked the bootloader. Tried magisk manager, with the boot.img patching, turns out i need a custom recovery to install a "bootbridge by adrian". Tried installing a custom recovery, no luck, Sony uses a recovery in-boot, meaning that the recovery is merged with the boot image, and you cant flash it unless you pre-flash a modified fotakernel into the firmware, only supported by cyanogen/omnirom (which, yes, you guessed, my phone doesnt have any custom rom). Then i tried creating a custom rom with prfcreator (added supersu, a dualrecovery from someone and xposed), surprise! i need root access to root an stock firmware (also, the custom rom i made weights like 100mb less than the factory rom, even with supersu, a custom recovery and xposed). So, i'm at a loss here. I need to root my phone, because it has a 128gb sd card, and i want to use it as a mobile pentesting lab, and for that matters i need root access. I resorted to those one click rooting chinese apks, but i read that they are spyware so i flashe the original 5.0.2 rom. I need advice or help. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |
