Can I setup a proxy on a customers computer?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2018 09:57 AM PST

So basically I run a social media growth company, I use software to help grow clients accounts, but recently I've been having issues with low quality proxies getting accounts banned while using the software (and no its not the softwares fault).

Instead of going around testing multiple proxy suppliers and wasting time, I have a question for you guys...

I work with clients that have 1-3 accounts. Naturally I would want them to be able to use their own IPs with their own accounts so everything is super legit. But I need to be able to do work on their accounts and let the software do its work as well.

However If I do the work on a proxy IP and use the software uses that proxy IP, it becomes tricky whenever the customer wants to log into their own accounts and use them because it will trigger some unusual activity with different ips logging in from different locations.

So my idea was (if this is possible) can I have my clients setup a proxy/service where I can connect to their IPs as if I was using their IP and do all the work through that IP?

What would I need to accomplish this?

iPhone 6 (A1549) shows no signs of life after drop

    Posted: 03 Dec 2018 10:40 AM PST

One of my friends gave me their old iPhone 6, asking if I could try to fix it. He said that around February-March of 2017 the phone was working perfectly until he dropped it hard on the ground. After that, the phone never powered on. The only signs of damage on the device are small dents in the casing near the power button and volume rockers. The screen is still flawless, and there isn't any water damage. I've had a little bit of experience taking apart an iPhone 5s, so I opened the phone up and checked to make sure all the inside cables were properly connected (I disconnected and reconnected the battery cable and charging port cable, along with taking out and putting back in the screen and all the cables associated with it). I couldn't find any signs of physical damage inside the phone, no signs of swelling in the battery either. I made sure to correctly put the phone back together, and there is still no sign of life. I tried hard resetting the phone (holding the home and power buttons down) to no avail. The only signs of damage on the phone are: outward dents near the power button and volume buttons (both buttons still appear to make contact and work) slightly bent frame (I was told this was already present before the fateful drop happened) Screen slightly popping out on bottom lefthand corner (I verified that the battery was OK, so I suspect this is because of the slightly bent housing). I've also tried sliding the do not disturb switch while the phone was plugged in to see if the screen was broken - no response. Are there any other things that can be done to diagnose/check the phone for damage? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated :)

Dual monitor turn off when gaming.

    Posted: 03 Dec 2018 12:02 AM PST

    Hi,

Recently I just added a second monitor to my system with lower resolution than my main monitor which is 1080p. Both of the monitor is a VGA port and using HDMI adapter to connect to my GTX1080 gpu.

The problem now is, when I start gaming, my main monitor will turn off after few minutes, and I have to disconnect the second monitor to fix this. Any idea what maybe the cause and solution for this? I worry disconnecting the hdmi every time gaming may damange the port.

    Thank you.
