Where can i buy the redmi note 5 pro for in the netherlands?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 03:54 PM PDT

After some browsing i decided to stop going for samsung for my next phone. Ive seen many good things about the redmi note 5 pro https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_5_pro-8893.php

However this phone seems to be nowhere avaible, most sites who claim to have them have the NON pro version only. I did see some indian site having them but it was suggested to not get the indian version since it has trouble with 4g in europe.

Anyone know where they are avaible and ship to the netherlands? Ps why is this phone so hard to find?

Difficult decision: Pocophone F1, or Mi Max 3?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 08:05 AM PDT

It looks like after some browsing, I want either Poco or Mi Max 3.

So if you have used either of these phones, can you please write your own pros and cons of each device? Also, if someone owns both of them, which one do you prefer?

Selling Xiaomi Mi 8 SE (broken OLED but everything else works) in UK

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 03:06 PM PDT

Received my Xiaomi Mi 8 SE three months ago, loved it. The OLED broke two months later on its own (see post here) (no drops) but the digitizer glass scratched a day after I received it even though I didn't drop it (see post here). Not the best luck, I know. Can confirm everything else works. I'm selling it for the other OEM parts. DM if you're interested.

POCO F1 weird touch type fix

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 03:56 AM PDT

    It's me again 😎😂

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=apps.redpi.touchscreenrepair

I didn't believe in this at first, I even tried it on the previous version with no real change, I tried it again today. Man, it made a world of difference, I can now accept the way touch works on the POCOPHONE it even was noticeable without restarting.

Amazing app, really! I guess POCO touch displays are so bad they actually can vary a lot and need calibration to be be on par with others.

I noticed POCO without this fix often interchanges letters when touch typing, this doesn't happen on all areas on the screen and with all words, but when you discover one word that interchanged you can reproduce this by typing that word very fast over and over it will be reproducible!

Going to order this for US usage. Is this the "Exclusive / Global Version" version?

Just got my RN5, very excited! It came bootloader unlocked though and I'm still not 100% that it doesn't have a vendor ROM. Any ideas?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 04:39 PM PDT

I bought my first gen Mi Notebook Pro back in July. Today, I have seen some discoloration (orange when having a light background, white color if dark) on the lower left edge of the screen. Is there remedy with this?

Mi band 3 stuck after update

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 12:45 PM PDT

Hi, so I did the latest firmware update and after it reached 100%, the watch rebooted, then the screen only reads "connect to app to update" , however my mifit app is not detecting the band, I tried uninstalling it and unpairing it from my phone, repairing it, none of this has worked,is there any other solution to the problem? Edit Also tried plugging it in the charger, it shows the charging screen, once unplugged it's back to "connect app to update"

Xiaomi Debloater tool: Highly suggested vs recommended apps to remove?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 03:35 AM PDT

First off, thanks to /u/Saki_EU for the awesome tool! Makes waiting 720 hours a little less painful!

Is there a lists (or can we create one) of the apps which are "highly suggested" to remove versus ones which are just "extra recommendations", maybe to have a better understanding? I understand some apps (Google ones) can also just be downloaded from Google play, but what are some of the others - I imagine some of the apps might be useful for some users.

Mi Band 3 - some questions to owners :3

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 12:09 PM PDT

Hey, I'm thinking about buying one and got some questions I couldn't find answers to yet.

Can I use it without the Mi App? If so, which features am I missing out on? Can I download the mi app to set it up once and then uninstall it while keeping the settings? Will I still receive notifications? Are there third party apps compatible wt it as well?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Buying a Pocophone F1?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 03:54 PM PDT

So, im coming from a oneplus 3T after breaking the screen and having to replace it and im not really planning on spending too much on a phone. After browsing this subreddit, i found many posts mentioning the touchscreen issues the pocophone has and that there are more than one batch of the phone. Is the problem still there? Has it been fixed? Is there something to look for on the box before purchasing the phone, something that indicates which batch is it that im buying?

Is Adoptable Storage locked by MIUI 10?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 03:54 PM PDT

    Hey, all.

I'm relatively new to the Xiaomi train and glad I've joined. Coming from Nexus/Pixel devices I'm curious if adoptable storage is not available as part of MIUI 10?

Still waiting on LineageOS; so hopefully it will show up soon and I can be rid of this issue if MIUI is the culprit.

MI A2 or Redmi Note 6 (Pro)?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 11:04 AM PDT

So I'm looking for a new phone to replace my ageing (and Windows Mobile...) Lumia 650, and it seems both of the mentioned devices seem nice at first glance. As a W10M and previously WP8(.1) user, I have no favourite version of Android, though I have heard good things about both Android One and MIUI.

    My priorities and preferences:

    • An audio jack is nice, but I guess i can live without one as long as I won't lose the adapter or I find a cheap, yet decent wireless headphone
    • mostly used for browsing, chatting and some gaming (3d titles)
    • It isn't a problem if the battery won't last for more than a day with the mentioned usage, I always put my phone on a charger for the night
    • display, well the little 650 has weak hardware but an OLED screen is an OLED screen (though 720p...) so I don't know much of a change in visual quality should I expect from moving to an IPS screen.
    • Durablity: Well, I'm definitely getting a plastic case but still, it will have to survive being in my pocket, though I haven't dropped my current handset for like 2 years, so I have a lucky hand.
    • I'd really like to see good support. For months, my Lumia couldn't open PDF files easily, as the browser, which was used for PDF reading by deafult, was bugged, and I had to use a 3rd party app to download PDFs, move them to a folder where Acrobat Reader could see them, and then open them from the app, not from Windows Explorer. So as you see, I want quick bugfixes, if no bugs is impossible.
    • Also, after coming from an essentially unsupported OS on subpar hardware, I don't want to see things like phone hanging up while going into settings or similar issues.

So with these preferences, which one would you recommend for me? The MIUI based Note 6, or the Android One MI A2?

    EU warranty?

How does Xiaomi EU warranty work? Ebay sellers claim 2 year EU-wide warranty provided by Xiaomi but I am not sure what this means.

    Gotta love Poco's battery life

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 02:29 AM PDT

Instead of buying flagship phone every 3 years i decided to buy mid range every 1 and half year. So need help if Xiaomi mi a2 is best starter for non Android User?

    Posted: 29 Oct 2018 12:55 AM PDT

Smartphone is good investment since you actually use it everyday and as of today it became like an extension of your body. I like buying flagship phones but unlike others that did it every year I usually just do it every 3 years from Lumia920, iphone5 and iphone6s. Now it is the time to replace my phone but the price of flagship today is very ridiculous so I am taking a break from buying expensive flagship and try a mid range phone this year maybe last about 2 years. My only concern with phone is camera and smooth scrolling (facebook, webpages, homescreen, etc.). For battery life I just want it to last for the whole day. The only game I am currenly playing is Clash Royale and PokemonGo so i don't need phone that run Fortnite or PUBG.

I love xiaomi products i still had (action cam, dashcam, selfie stick, mi band1-3) and it didn't disappoints me. The only concern is that the phone is running android and the only android that i used was Galaxy Ace (eclair to gingerbread) and 1st Nexus 7 tablet after that i quit android due to being lag after few months but i think Android improves a lot so I was wondering if Xiaomi Mi A2 is midrange phone to change my thoughts about android phones.
