Nvidia 960M - Code 43 error Tech Support |
Posted: 31 Oct 2018 05:37 AM PDT Device : ASUS ROG GL552VW (Laptop)| Nvidia 960M -Device Manager keeps giving Code 43 error. -NVIDIA Control Panel doesn't open from the Control Panel. No context menu entry either. -GeForce Experience reinstalls the whole thing again, reboots and does nothing. -Tried updating the BIOS. -Tried hard shutdown, power reset, reinstering battery etc. -Tried disabling/Reenabling drivers. -Tried DDU via safe mode and then reinstalling drivers. -Tried installing an older version (397 is the oldest I can find atm). -Windows reinstalls v359 when I uninstall the drivers. They don't work either. -Lucid VIRTU MVP was never installed on the system. -Windows is up-to-date. Tried a reset as well. -Tried Ubuntu/Xubuntu. After installing the drivers, Nvidia X Server settings won't open at all. Playing CS at 50fps with Integrated Graphics is never fun. Any help is appreciated. Edit: The last time we were together was when I'm playing Tekken 7, temps were 80-85 (have been there before) but no performance issues yet. Then the game froze, had to force shutdown because nothing worked. Getting the error since then. [link] [comments] |
Need help - Discord causing certain games to not have any sound Posted: 30 Oct 2018 08:31 PM PDT I know this is a somewhat uncommon issue, but I've started to see more and more of my games lose all sound over the past couple weeks. I'll mainly focus on CoD: Black Ops 4 since that is the newest mute application. There is no doubt that Discord is causing these problems, as I (most of the time) can not be in both a discord call and a game at the same time (which kinda defeats the purpose of Discord). The issue that normally happens is I either join a voice call or a game in either order, and then either immediately after both are open or after a certain amount of time, a very loud 2-second buzz will occur repeatedly and all audio across my entire laptop will cease until I leave the voice call. I can join back and it'll work fine, but then I'm left without game audio. I'm on an ASUS GL503VD laptop, and I use Apple EarPods for both input and output (I've used them for 2+ years without any problems). Any assistance is welcome as I can't really play much until this issue is fixed. [link] [comments] |
